PoliticsRe: Miyetti Allah Leaders Arrested In Kwara For Aiding Bandits’ Kidnapping Operation by AlphaTaikun: 12:13am On Jan 29
DiamondsAreFore:
Three senior members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) have been arrested for allegedly aiding multiple kidnapping operations linked to Fulani bandits.

A security report revealed that these arrests involve elderly Fulani leaders, all over 60 years old.

The three suspects face allegations of sponsoring bandit groups that had been terrorising the region

SaharaReporters gathered that members of the Miyetti Allah leaders reportedly confessed to facilitating several kidnapping operations, providing support to criminal networks responsible for abductions across Kwara State.

Efforts to get a reaction from the spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, were unsuccessful, as she said in a WhatsApp message, "I will get back to you, please."

SaharaReporters previously reported that the ongoing coordinated military air strikes and ground troop operations have targeted terrorist and kidnapper hideouts across parts of Ifelodun, Edu, and Patigi Local Government Areas of Kwara State, resulting in the destruction of several camps and the neutralisation of many suspected bandits.

SaharaReporters gathered that the ongoing offensive has hit several notorious bandits’ camps located in the Baba Sango axis of Ifelodun Local Government Area, Gbugbu forest in Edu Local Government Area, and Lata community in Patigi Local Government Area.

According to preliminary security reports from the theatre of operations, the sustained assault has thrown the criminal elements into disarray, forcing them to flee from their established hideouts while suffering heavy casualties.

However, the operation has put the bandits in disarray and displaced them from their positions.

The operation, which combines aerial bombardment with ground troop maneuvers, is said to be aimed at dismantling the logistics, leadership structure and operational bases of kidnapping and terror gangs that have long terrorised communities along the Kwara–Niger axis.

The report disclosed that several camps belonging to the criminals have been completely destroyed, while many of the terrorists sustained varying degrees of injuries during the coordinated strikes.

According to the report, the ongoing operations have destroyed many of their camps. Several of the bandits and terrorists were neutralised, while others escaped with gunshot wounds and other serious injuries.

However, the military has raised serious concerns over the activities of informants and collaborators within local communities, warning that such moles are undermining the effectiveness of the operation by leaking information on troop movements.

The security report noted that operations are being impeded by activities of moles and informants within different communities who give out information about troops movement.

Military authorities have therefore called on residents of affected areas to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with security agencies by identifying and exposing individuals who aid criminal groups.

Community leaders in the affected local government areas have also been urged to sensitise residents on the dangers of shielding criminals, warning that such actions prolong insecurity and put innocent lives at risk.

RomanceRe: Man's 17 Girlfriends Discovered Themselves After He Was Hospitalised (Throwback) by AlphaTaikun: 12:09am On Jan 29
Kewtt:
In April 2015, a man surnamed Yuan in Changsha, China, was in a car accident. His 17 girlfriends, unaware of each other, showed up at the hospital after seeing news reports. He was later arrested for fraud, having scammed money from some of them. Confirmed by BBC and other sources.

After the women discovered each other, they formed a WeChat group called the "revenge alliance" to share details and confront him.
Police later investigated, and in May 2015, Mr. Yuan was arrested on fraud charges for allegedly swindling money from the women (including his ex-wife).

They discovered that he had been asking many of them for monthly payments, which led to his arrest for fraud.

He had already fathered a child with one of the women and was in the process of planning a wedding with another.

He likely managed by compartmentalizing his life: dating women in different areas, fabricating stories about travel-heavy jobs, and keeping communications isolated. Reports say he borrowed money from them to fund it all, leading to fraud charges in 2015. Quite the juggling act!

A mother's trembling voice breaks hearts across Nigeria as she begs for help to raise ₦30 million ransom to free her kidnapped daughter — her only child.

This emotional audio plea, shared widely on X, shows the raw pain of a family in Lagos facing unimaginable trauma. Friends and loved ones have taken to the streets with placards, desperately seeking donations and support to meet the abductors' demand.

Kidnappings for ransom continue to tear families apart in Nigeria, leaving ordinary people in despair while security challenges persist. No parent should endure this agony
She took a very big gamble and got kidnapped in the very notorious black kidnapping spot in Kogi State where the former Department of State Security (DSS) boss, Mr. Mike Ejiofor was ALSO kidnapped a few years back by a gang of Fula kidnappers. Fortunately he didn't lose his life.

The Inspector General of Police's office has to step in right now and deploy IRT units with drones and phone tracking to rescue that girl. NO random MUST be paid. The idea of her mother soliciting for N30 million to pay some highly IRRESPONSIBLE kidnappers MUST NEVER be entertained.

The IG's special IRT units have in the past successfully busted several criminal kidnapping and armed robbery gangs.

As an example, the very notorious kidnapper and armed robber who operated in Lagos State and other contiguous States named Chuckwudimeme Onwuamadike (aka Evans) who hails from Nnewi North in Anambra State was arrested with 6 other members of his criminal gang in the house he lived in the elite Magodo GRA, Lagos State in 2017 by this same IRT unit.

Omooba77:
A prominent member of the Lagos royal family and boardroom guru, Otunba (Dr.) Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, has passed away.

In a statement, the family confirmed that the revered traditional leader and patriarch joined his ancestors in the early hours of Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

Born on June 13, 1932, Otunba Ojora was a prominent figure in Lagos traditional, cultural and royal affairs, widely respected for his lineage, wisdom and service to society.

He held several distinguished titles, including: Olori-ebi of the Ojora Royal Family; Chief Olori Omoba of Lagos; Head of the Oba Ologunkutere and Oba Adele Ajosun Royal Family; Head of the Ojora Royal Family; Head of the Aiyeomosan Chieftaincy Family of Lagos; Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife.

Throughout his lifetime, Otunba Ojora played a significant role in preserving Yoruba heritage, royal traditions and the unity of the Lagos chieftaincy families.

Otunba Adekunle Ojora is survived by children, grandchildren and a wide extended family, leaving behind a legacy deeply woven into the history and royalty of Lagos.

The statement signed by Mrs. Toyin Ojora-Saraki on behalf of the family said, “With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT), the Ojora family of Lagos hereby announces the passing of our beloved patriarch, Otunba
Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, who returned to his creator early this morning.

“We say Alhamdulilahi for a life well lived, and we comply with Allah’s words that: “Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we will all return” (Q2:

“He was 93 and will be buried in Lagos according to Islamic rites.

“He was survived by his lovely wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

“We urge all members of the public to join us in praying to Allah to grant His servant, who has lived a dignified life, reprieve in the grave and a place in Aljannah Firdaus.”

My condolences to 'Toyin Saraki, her biological mother and the rest of the Ojora siblings. It's actually sobering but it's a celebration of life as Otunba Adekunle Ojora was a warrior till the age of 93!

Otunba Adekunle Ojora of the Ojora Royal Family has indeed finally taken a royal bow, but he lived long till the age of 93. He belonged to the same social class and billionaire business mogul ecosystem of iconic men such as: Chief Abdulwahab Folawiyo, Chief Moshood Abiola, Chief 'Deinde Fernandez, Chief Mobolaji Bank-Anthony, Chief Okoya-Thomas, Alhaji Abdulrazak Okoya, Chief Fajemirokun, etc.

He lost his famous son 'Dapo Ojora just a few years ago. The Ojora family is a great and highly refined one in the entire history of Lagos State indigenes.

Lagos State has been very slow in launching the Central Epe Agro Food Hub which the FIRST EVER female Lagos State Commissioner of Agriculture and Food Systems said would be ready by May 2025 with the launch of Phase 1 of that project with the aim of crashing the price of food in Lagos State to 50% of the current prices by cutting off the greedy middle men who like to hoard food items to create artificial scarcity. Already, Lagos State has launched 150 CNG-fueled 40 ft haulage trucks for that project as of late 2025.

The key to winning re-election for APC at all levels is to crash the cost of living for these folks on the street level. They have to have a sense of urgency and that's how they can easily win elections WITHOUT any rigging or accusations from any opposition parties. Period.

Haiti conquered and colonized Dominican Republic for a generation grin

Give us another excuse for Haitian poverty please

Good Luck to Nigerians.
I FIRST watched a documentary video of about 16 minutes in 2019 (7 years ago) on the obvious divisions between the Dominican Republic and Haiti and I still have it saved on one of my laptops. I'll post the video link right here if it's still online for you to see.

It was a deeply sobering experience for me just watching that 16-minutes documentary and how Haiti began to sink down the economic ladder after the Haitian Revolution ended in 1804 in addition to Haiti paying heavy compensations to France for the destruction of French economic interests during the Haitian Revolution.

Dominicans too haven't treated the Haitian migrants in their country well in terms of human rights but Haitians themselves can be very stubborn. In 2025, large numbers of Haitians right in public massively resisted the invasion of their New York communities by members of ICE who WANTED to start arresting and deporting them back to Haiti. They know things would be very rough for them in that Island country if they did not unite against ICE.

[Updated]: Yes! I've found the video link of the 16-minutes documentary right BELOW. You can watch it and the second video as well to get a hang of what I talked about in my previous post here.

Bribery behind closed doors and before the primaries will discredit this method. It's not as if Obi is poor. He's a multi billionaire and can spend to have his way but he's a very quiet one and abhors such practice. I always laugh at those saying he should test this popularity. What's popularity in Nigerian politics, if not money and which obi can spend and still be fine?

I'm following him not because i stand to benefit anything under him, but because he's the best among them who won't shun the masses nor enrich himself. Others are political business men. Bolaji himself is an atiku boy, just like dino. They dont have any source of income other than politics. Nigeria cant move forward with people like atiku in government, it will only get worse.

Like I said before, if atiku can step down for Obi and asks his people to support him, Obi will win the primaries. Obi left the pdp ahead of the 2023 election because of the show of shame in PHC primaries and dollar reigns, not becaue he lost. Atiku jettisoned the party's zonimg arrangement with dollars. Wike spent bastard money and openly, likewise atiku as if they were bidding for a contract. How does anyone think those guys would move Nigeria forward, should they get there? Even jababan gave dollars openly. My uncle in ekiti who was a delegate said he used his own to build a private hotel for the university students. 25kusd no be small money. We can see what he's doing with our nation today.
You say in your post right ABOVE that Peter Obi left PDP because of the money politics during the 2022 PDP party primaries, yet in 2026, he has gone ahead to team up with the ADC with this same Atiku Abubakar who he'll still have to contest with during the ADC primaries and he NAIVELY thinks money will NOT be a factor again?

Atiku Abubakar is NOT gonna ever step down for Peter. Moving to ADC was an act of naivety on Peter's part and he is firmly deluded if he thinks a replay of the money politics during the PDP primaries of 2022 will NOT take place. Period.

Somebody needs to go and tell Dominican Republic to stop enforcing their immigration laws against Haitians! Here's stories from the very liberal AP in 2021 and PBS in 2025

First story is from late 2025. The Dominican Republic has taken a very hard line AGAINST Haitian migrants to their country. These two countries are NEIGHBOURS sharing ONE ISLAND. So why should the USA be taking them in when THEIR NEIGHBORS refused? Why can't the people of Haiti use their Melanin Magical Intelligence and create a country as stable and liveable as Dominica?

The irony is that Haiti once conquered and colonized Dominica grin shocked grin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alqwAzvdJKs?si=aPiZpodmZWMulhnV

Second report from 2021. I've read a report that the Dominican Republic has a zero tolerance policy for migration from Haiti. They've even started construction or maybe already installed a super high-tech fence barrier to keep them out. Where's the outrage?

https://apnews.com/article/dominican-republic-haiti-migrants-deported-crackdown-fb0b796b645e6c418094fe3f28298ea5

I'm hoping our resident activists will reserve some energy for a campaign against the Dominican Republic.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
Haiti was over cultivated during the plantation slavery years under the French and that destroyed the soil structure and nutrients which then led to the destruction of prime vegetation that would have created a sustainable agro-based economic belt for Haiti. Hence, one of the reasons why Haitians would continue to illegally cross over into the Dominican Republic besides the relentless urban gang violence and rapes in various parts of Haiti. The Dominicans who are largely mixed Spanish, African, and Taino Native Indians bloodlines would continue to be ruthless and racist towards Haitian immigrants.

The nearby Dominican Republic has very lush vegetation along the common borders with Haiti but if you look at the aerial or drone images of both sides of the Haiti/Dominican Republic borders you would find a blighted Haitian side with little to NO vegetation.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Rajat Khare’s Boundary Holding Invests In Aero 41 For Smart Agriculture by AlphaTaikun: 10:27pm On Jan 27
businesstrends:
Rajat Khare’s Boundary Holding has invested in Aero 41, a Switzerland-based agri-technology company, strengthening its commitment to smart agriculture and the future of sustainable farming. The seed funding marks a strategic move by Boundary Holding, a European deep-tech investment firm, to support innovative technologies that address long-standing challenges in the agricultural sector. While the exact financial details of the investment have not yet been disclosed, the partnership signals strong confidence in Aero 41’s drone-based solutions for modern farming.

Aero 41 specializes in providing crop-spraying solutions through Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) combined with proprietary software. The company supplies agricultural drones and spare parts to farmers and resellers, enabling more precise, efficient, and safer farming practices. With this new funding, Aero 41 plans to expand its service offerings to additional crops, further develop its technology, and scale its sales operations across Europe and the United States.

The integration of advanced technology into agriculture has become unavoidable as farmers worldwide face rising costs, labor shortages, and environmental pressures. One of the most pressing concerns in traditional farming is the extensive use of pesticides. Manual pesticide application exposes farmers to serious health risks during the mixing, loading, and spraying processes, often through direct contact, spills, or inhalation. Beyond human health, improper pesticide use can also harm surrounding ecosystems.

Drone-based crop spraying offers a safer and more controlled alternative. UAVs can precisely target specific areas, reducing chemical overuse while minimizing direct human exposure. This method is particularly effective in hard-to-reach terrains such as steep fields, vineyards, and high-elevation plantations, where conventional spraying methods are inefficient or dangerous.

Developed in Switzerland, Aero 41’s 17-litre AGv2 drone has been designed to meet the demanding requirements of vineyards and vertically growing, high-value crops. With an operating speed of up to 10.5 kilometers per hour, the drone improves efficiency by reducing time spent moving between spraying zones. Its optimized spraying system ensures even distribution, making it increasingly popular among organic farmers who prefer automated operations with minimal human intervention.

Rajat Khare, Founder of Boundary Holding, views the investment as a catalyst for growth in a rapidly evolving sector. He highlights that drone usage in agriculture is accelerating globally, driven by the need for efficiency, safety, and cost optimization. According to Khare, drone sprayers not only protect workers from hazardous exposure but also allow farmers to reduce chemical costs by applying treatments only where needed.

The partnership between Boundary Holding and Aero 41 goes beyond financial backing. Both organizations emphasize a long-term strategy focused on nurturing innovation, expanding into new markets, and supporting the broader adoption of smart agriculture technologies. This aligns with global trends, as the smart agriculture market continues to grow steadily, driven by the demand for sustainable, technology-enabled farming solutions.

As agriculture technology penetrates modern farms worldwide, investments like this highlight how innovation can make farming more productive, environmentally responsible, and safer for those who work the land. Boundary Holding’s investment in Aero 41 reflects a broader vision of using deep-tech solutions to reshape traditional industries and support the future of global agriculture.

“Nigerian man who recently moved to the UK admits murd£r of 23-year-old British woman.

A man has admitted murd£ring a 23-year-old woman who was a former colleague he had had a "brief relationship" with.

Stephanie Irons's body was found by emergency services after they were called to an address in Westdale Lane West, Mapperley, on 21 October 2025.

During a brief appearance at Nottingham Crown Court on today, Monday, January 26, Adedapo Adegbola, of Woodborough Road, Mapperley, admitted a single charge of murd£r and he will be sentenced on 5 February.

Police said "a caring and compassionate young woman" had been taken from her friends and family "in horrific circumstances".

Adegbola just relocated to the UK in 2022.

Judge Nirmal Shant KC told the 40-year-old he faced a mandatory life sentence and it was just a question of "setting the minimum term".

Members of Irons's family were in court, and the prosecution confirmed victim impact statements were being prepared.

Police said Adegbola, fatally wounded the victim as he visited her address after their brief relationship ended.

The alarm was raised by co-workers after a series of concerning messages were sent to them on the evening of the attack, officers said.

Adegbola had fled but blood-stained trainers and a jumper were left on the streets of Mapperley and Carlton.

He then travelled to Mansfield, Worksop, Sheffield and finally to Hull, police said.

On 22 October he returned to Nottingham and handed himself in but then provided no comment to questions posed by detectives in subsequent police interviews.

Det Insp Stuart Barson said: "This is a tragic case in which a caring and compassionate young woman was taken away in horrific circumstances.

"Following the attack on Miss Irons, Adegbola made no attempt to call for an ambulance, and was concerned only with getting away from the scene and attempting to dispose of vital evidence.

"I want to thank Miss Irons' family for the incredible strength that they have shown through this process.

"I hope that this outcome assists Steph's family in coming to terms with such a dreadful loss."
