immaculatesense:The law came into force in 2018 and as a result, cannot have a retroactive effect on Goodluck Jonathan who was sworn in twice before the law was made. It is settled law that a new law cannot have a retroactive effect. Jonathan can still contest if he so wishes. He is not affected by that section. |
How i wish there is a way to to enforce this idea. SE people should buy only goods produced from SE while other Nigerians should fully boycott things produced from the SE. That way, the rest of us can avoid buying fake products. |
Kukutente23:Is water not a natural resources? |
Wait, these politicians you are talking about, do they include Atiku, El-Rufai, David Mark, Babachir Lawal, Malami and other rogues in ADC that Peter Obi roll with daily? Maybe I am not getting your point. Can you list the politicians that hate Peter Obi so much? |
Racoon:Apart from blowing grammar and passing blames as usual, do you even understand the problems at all? Let me break it down for. A farmer got a loan and other subsidized implements to farm 100 acres of rice. After harvesting, he stored everything in his store and refused to sell. So, how exactly do you deal with such people? Break into their store and forcefully sell the rice to Nigerians? Arrest them and throw them into prison for not selling their rice to the public? |
His first assignment should be to bring the governor of Plateau to APC and merge the PDP structure in the state with that of the ruling party. APC must win Plateau in 2027. |
MadamExcellency:Presidential election is not won by states but by winning majority of valid votes and getting at least 25% in 2/3 of the 36 states and FCT. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Stop crying and pretending like you care about Ganduje. Folks like you were the ones who named him Gandollar and blackmailed him severally all over the media. So, what is all these noise about? When Kwakwanso, El-Rufai, Emir Sanusi and the Buhari cabal moved against Ganduje in 2019, it was only Bola Tinubu that stood by him. In fact, El-Rufai and co wanted the party to deny him the ticket but Tinubu stood firmly and ensured he got the ticket. When Buhari told the people of Kano to vote their choice in the govrnorship election, it was Tinubu that moved in with the needed finance to support him. In 2023 when folks like you made all the noise that he had too many baggage and should not be made a federal minister, it was the same Tinubu that made him the APC national chairman. Even after resigning as APC chairman some weeks ago, Tinubu immediately appointed him the Chairman of FAAN. So, what is your tears all about? |
fergie001:Some of your ADC friends like Aminda and Penguin2 would argue that governors don't matter when it comes to presidential election. As it stands now, who exactly will mobilize for Atiku in states like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Bayelsa, Edo and Cross River in 2027? In Akwa Ibom for example. there is no opposition party again. Both the APC and PDP structures have now been merged. Something similar will happen in Bayelsa. So, how can anyone defeat APC in those states? As it stands, Atiku won't even get 25% in any southern states except he runs with Peter Obi which is looking unlikely. |
The way Tinubu go take beat Obi, Atiku and small finger for southern Kaduna ehn, e go too sweet ![]() |
Haters of good news will tell you how does it affect the price of rice and garri. |
This is commendable. Goes to show that the policy is indeed working and reaching the target audience. |
So, what is in Section 6 of the Flag and Coat of Arms Act, Cap. F30, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004? Let someone post an extract so that we can all see if indeed Atiku broke the law or not. @fergie001 |
AMINDA:Adeleke is not dragging any feet, he is going about begging anyone that cares to listen to help him join APC. The defection has not taken place because Osun APC stakeholders have completely rejected his defection. Go and listen to Senator Omisore on Channels TV, he he made it clear Osun APC is the only reason the governor has not joined the party. |
Who gave those streets Ibo names in the first place? |
Kewekubosineh:Are they rendering the same services? Do the Nigerians possess the skills the Indians have? |
Lips sealed . No comment. |
A true friend till the very end. |
Why is it difficult for Peter Obi himself to put together a national alliance/coalition that can take him into office? The ADC coalition is being put together by Atiku and that is why Atiku will naturally be the flag bearer of the party. If Peter Obi is serious, he should put in the necessary work to build his own party and coalition. No one will do the dirty work and then handover the benefit to him. Tinubu did the dirty work to put APC together. He led the coalition jointly with Buhari and handpicked the first interim National Chairman of the party. He then went ahead to make all the necessary sacrifices needed for the party to win. Tinubu was not on the ballot in 2019, yet, it was his house that two bullion vans were sighted a day before the presidential election. He took the bullet for that incidence alone in the overall interest of the party. Despite all these, Tinubu never demanded for the party's ticket on a silver platter. He contested with every single aspirants and defeated them to pick the party ticket. Any candidate that is not ready to put in the needed work to win the party ticket will not be able to lead the party to victory at the general election. |
Hmmmmm2024:There is a Federal seaport in PH, Calabar, Warri and Onne. Why exactly should FG build another seaport in Bayelsa? To serve what purpose exactly? Ogun and Ondo states have access to sea but there is no federal seaports in there. So, should Ondo and Ogun state people also start crying for seaport? |
This is the fraudster some people were celebrating few days ago. A 400level Medicine student who sat for UTME and then competing for first position with secondary school students. |
Seems Bode George is still living in the past. PDP is already dead. Whatever is left of the party is fully in the grips of Wike. Whatever happens to the carcass of the party will be determined by Wike and no one else. |
I can be Johneyessence aka press9jatv is among the disgruntled youths with the placards. Adeleke really did that dude dirty ![]() |
Adeleke would disrupt a lot of settings in the party structure in Osun state. Personally, I want him to lose the election next year and get chasedout of Osun. However, political expediency trumps personal feelings. I hope there is extensive consultation with stakeholders in the state and also proper decision on sharing of party and government positions after joining the party. In politics, it is the more the merrier. If the APC structure and the Adeleke/PDP structure can be merged together, it is a big advantage to APC and Mr. President. |
SusanOpeyemi:I am sure a lot of you are disappointed that Tinubu quickly stepped in to avoid the strike. There is no government in the last 40 years that has been able to prevent ASUU from going on strike for two straight years until Tinubu became president in 2023. So tell me, how is the coalition party of last week the reason behind ASUU not going on strike for over two years now? |
Lanruze:Wike is not a member of APC. He is just a public servant serving the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You will never see him attending an APC meeting. The day he officially joins APC is the day he will resign from PDP. |
If Peter is a democrat and if he has any atom of integrity left in him, he should immediately resign his membership of the Labour Party and face his ADC like a man. Trying to put one leg in ADC and leaving another one in LP is undemocratic, illegal and absolutely irresponsible. I support LP's decision to expel him immediately if he refuse to resign from the party. Sensible folks like David Mark, Atiku, Babachir, Binani etc have all honorably resigned their membership of the parties they previously belong to now that they are in ADC. Obi should toe the path of honor and do the same. He should let LP breathe. |
So, why exactly are they in the coalition if they believe they have the support of 70% of Nigerians? Why not go back to your Labour Party and contest on the party's platform in 2027? Why do you need an alliance with the so called structure of criminality when you have the backing of 70% of Nigerians? |
Penguin2:Let me be frank with you, this is a very ridiculous expectation. Atiku and those putting the coalition together owe Peter Obi nothing. They are in this for their personal ambition and nothing else. The north especially always feel insecure once they are out of power, that is why they are always looking for a southern partner to gang up with whenever a southerner is president. They have absolutely no interest in making Peter Obi president. Like Datti asked, what sort of primaries will an Amaechi do with an Atiku? Admittedly, Atiku has the network and money to win the primaries. The question is, away from the primaries, can he win the election?Well, the north are not backing Obi and they have never told you they want to back him. Atiku simply need him as his southern partner in his power grab mission. Despite Tinubu's massive support to help Buhari and the north back to power both in 2015 and 2019, he had to come up with all possible kind of tactics and gimmicks to be able to get about 50% of total vote cast in north west. In fact, if not for Kwakwanso that helped him to take away Kano votes from Atiku, he would have lost north west overall to Atiku. He lost Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi to Atiku while he struggled to win Zamfara and Jigawa. So imagine if a Tinubu whose party was in power can struggle this much to win the north west, what then is the fate of a Peter Obi who has no serious alliance in the region? The only ticket that can shake Tinubu in 2027 is Atiku/Obi or Kwakwanso/Obi. Anything other than these possible two combination is an easy victory for Tinubu. Again, you guys think Atiku has soem serious support base that can be transferred to Obi if he's not on the ballot. That is a big lie. The North is simply backing Atiku because he has the best chance to help them get power back. Once Atiku is out of the race, they will queue behind Tinubu's MM ticket that has the 100% guarantee of returning power back to the in 2031. They have absolutely no reason to back a new horse in Peter Obi. Finally, you really don't know how much northern Christians despise Nasir El-Rufai. Putting him on the ticket is such a brazen betrayal of these set of northerners that gave their all to Peter Obi in 2023. They will so finish him in the north central and southern Kaduna. |
While folks like Penguin2 are deluding themselves about an Obi/El-Rufai ticket, the owners of the party are already putting them in their proper place. The coalition of confusion may not even last up to a month before all the desperadoes scatter everything ![]() |
