Seven student of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) lost their lives, yesterday, in an accident in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The students who were on their way to Gombe from Maiduguri, Borno State, due to the ongoing ASUU strike, when the accident occurred.

About 11 others were injured.

A man has admitted repeatedly raping a miniature horse while insisting he used a condom over fears he would catch a disease from the vulnerable animal.

Nicholas Sardo, 21, reportedly confessed to having sex with the little beast, known as Jackie G, four times in a week.

According to police, the sex attacker “used a condom each time because he didn’t want to get a disease from the horse.” 

Sardo was arrested after two women said they saw him molesting the animal in a field in Citra, Florida.

Cops say the horse belonged to a relative of the 21-year-old.

A Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said:

“One came forward and reported she had witnessed Sardo having sex with Jackie G in a pasture on a family member’s property three days earlier.

"Another witness came forward saying she saw it as well and she approached Sardo about what she had seen.

“Sardo immediately admitted to her that he had sex with the horse and also gave the same admission to a detective.

“Sardo added that he had sex with the horse four times during the course of a week.

"Additionally, Sardo told the detective that he knew he was wrong for what he did and that he was a sick man.”

He was arrested and charged with four counts of bestiality or sexual contact with an animal and is being held at the Marion County Jail.

Officers did not say if the horse suffered injuries.

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Labour and Employment and leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities are expected to meet in Abuja on Thursday over the strike in public universities since November 5.

Punch confirmed on Wednesday that the Federal Government delegation led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, would meet with ASUU executives led by the National President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, in Abuja to review the September 2017 Memorandum of Action.

ASUU said during its National Executive Council meeting in Akure, Ondo State, on November 4 that it asked its members to resume strike because of certain unimplemented areas in the 2017 MoA, which suggested the Federal Government’s insincerity to the demands by the lecturers.

Recall that on Tuesday, the ministries of Labour and Employment as well as Education had yet to reply to the letters written by ASUU since November 5.

It was learnt that the Ministry of Labour and Employment on the same day, Tuesday, wrote ASUU inviting the union leaders to a meeting today.

Ogunyemi confirmed that the union would meet with the Federal Government’s delegation today.

He said,

“Yes, the government wrote us on Tuesday, inviting us to a meeting on Thursday.”

A top ASUU member, who does not want his name in print, added that the meeting would focus on reviewing the 2017 Memorandum of Action and renegotiating the unimplemented areas.

He said,

“We guess that, apart from the Ministry of Labour and Employment’s delegation, there will also be representatives from the Ministry of Education at the meeting. You know what the labour ministry always says is that they are mediators. They bring the parties together to facilitate the resolutions of the crisis.

“The meeting will look at all the issues we have raised, both in the memorandum and even in the media.”

A hair stylist has narrated how she was extorted and sexually harassed by SARS operatives in Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

I woke up a bit feverish with slight headache so I cancelled my activities for the day, at about 6:30pm I decided to go get drugs,because my condition seemed to be getting serious and also get pizza for my mum just 7mins drive away from my estate.. On getting back to my estate, a blue Prado jeep stopped right in front of me and some armed men on uniform came out asking me to park for a search, I obliged, they went through all the vehicle papers and drivers license etc very much complete.. The next question I was asked was they needed to see my company Id ,I tried to explain to them I didn't have it on me because I just drove out to get pizza from the next bus stop and they said I was under arrest for stealing a vehicle and I couldn't give them an ID of where I work, I obliged and we drove to their station and the whole story changed.. One of the officers made a phone call and he said I was among the criminals they received a call about.. I tried to beg, I even showed proof of the medications I got, they gave me a paper to make a statement,in the process they took my phones from me and started going through my phone, from my chats call logs down to my bank mails etc.... After spending 2hrs with them they demanded for a sum of 2million naira as my bail,for a crime I do not know.. This is pure wickedness and evil... I never stole, robbed, violated any rules etc... We finally came to an agreement after keeping me hostage from 6pm till 12am that I should pay them 100,000naira.. One of the officers even approached me trying to sexually harass me!! This same men didn't even mind the time they comfortably drove me to an ATM machine so I could make a withdrawal for them... These men are criminals!! I was granted bail by 1:30am after spending 7good hours... Someone's hard earn money This Is totally unacceptable, Are you guys not meant to be protecting lives ? Why will you extort someone of their hard earn sweat!! I thought SARS had ended... (officers names are : officer Matt, Emma, security, Friday) "

South African TV personality and show host, Bonang Matheba, on Wednesday, made an appearance in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes court over alleged tax fraud.

Matheba has been charged for allegedly not paying personal tax from 2008 to 2017, and company tax from 2014 to 2017, reports South Africa’s Daily Sun.

The Television personality was expected to appear on September 27, but missed her appearance, as she was overseas.

The court granted a postponement of the case to 27 November 2018 at the very same court.

A warrant of arrest will be issued to Matheba should she fail to appear in person.

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) raided the jet that brought back Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to Nigeria, The Cable reports.

Paul Ibe, Atiku’s spokesman, confirmed the incident on Sunday.

It was gathered that the private jet conveying Atiku from Dubai landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 1:30am, into the waiting arms of the security operatives.

Sources in the know of the incident said the DSS operatives searched Atiku and the jet, alongside officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service and Nigeria Customs Service.

The combined security team, who said they had an arrest warrant to search the PDP presidential candidate, were looking for foreign currencies.

They were said to have stripped everything including the luggage and had also searched the pilot and co-pilot.

It was, however, gathered the operatives found nothing implicating during the operation.

Writing via his Twitter handle, Atiku said the search was aimed at intimidating him.

“I arrived to Abuja this morning to a search by agents of the state, aimed at intimidating me and my staff,” he wrote.

“I am committed to building a Nigeria where no citizen is intimidated by agents of state who are paid to protect them.

Leaked Nude Video Of South African Minister, Malusi Gigaba Engaging In A Sexual Act

A video of South African Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba engaging in a sexual act has hit the net and gone viral.

A Whatsapp conversation between him and an ex, Buhle Mkhize, which surfaced online, shows he sent the video to her and desperately begged her not to release it when she threatened to.

Amagitesblog has seen the 13-second video, which shows the minister with his shirt pulled up, stroking his penis. He said in the video; "Mhh, imagine if the was in your mouth, oh baby!"

Below is a Facebook post by Buhle Mkhize warning the minister's wife to stop attacking her or else she releases the video.

Meanwhile, Gigaba has suggested that the leaked video of him engaging in a sexual act was a political attempt to assassinate his character ahead of next year’s elections.
