HealthRe: Breast Milk Reduces Risk Of Infant’s Allergy -study by amaham(m): 12:43pm On Jun 15, 2018
Really, i think allergy is attributed to more factors than not taking breast milk. My neighbour exclusively breastfed for 4months and commenced baby on formular, the baby had hives caused by cow milk allergy. I think babies should be treated on person to person basis

smiles..Transberg is not gone, have you been to their park? I wrote on here that i was at the abule egba park yesterday and i won't lie i saw some newly purchased vehicle. What i will assume is that they lack transparency and also i think they are getting greedy and don't want to stick to the contract agreement.
I think what encourages greed is less transperant operations, if we dont take this glitch lying low with sustained communication, they will snap out from this new-onset greed of theirs. Abeg post the whatsapp link let join, this country must work .

This move by FMH/NMA (cause they are one and the same) is a very good move.

this is the last card they have to play, a show of power or might to subdue a union with threats of sack.

But it is a very poor attempt, a very poor attempt because it will fail massively and when it does in the coming days the FMH/ NMA will then realized but a little too late that they have played themselves into the hands of JOHESU.

why do I say this?
The demands of JOHESU have changed ever since it recognize that NMA will not concede to it achieving it's goals and the realization that the are backed by the FMH.
They therefore want a total boycott of the FMH and are even insisting on his immediate sack. JOHESU has also
refused to meet with the minister for any other dialogue but are pressing to speak with the president himself.
they have had a 50% success in this regard, in the sense that they have spoken with the number 2 most influential person in government after the President in the person of the Senate president and also spoke with him yesterday as well.
If these meetings are successful then the Ministry of Health should consider himself done for, cause he would be sacked in due time, whether in 2018 or 2019.

But in a case these meetings do not give the desired result, then Johesu will continue to press until the see the President himself. Take note, election is by the corner and this government is working to salvage it's reputation before the polls. Demands made prior to polls always tend to yield their desired results.... ask ASUU..... all of this threats where handed to them but they still continued their strike until GEJ had to save face by granting their demands so the opposition doesn't use it against them.

The FMH is standing on a time bomb, going by force will prove to the the last straw that will break the FMH/NMA's back.... instead their former tactics was better.... deceiving and derailing the public and the FG on the issue, while wasting time.... but this action now is an act of desperation, which shows they have already lost their grip on this strike, cause it is now beyond the office of the Minister of Health, and now in the office of the Senate president and it can still go further.
I hope your analogy checks out.. comparing ASUU with Johesu; comparing Gej with buhari. I wish you the best brother

my sincere apologies bro. So sorry it took this long before I wade in on this matter. I needed to have the full info before coming online cos some folks have actually called and chatted me up about the development on the thread. I hope you'll find solace in my comment above. One love.
I am not under exclusive hire purchase , i invested in the normal hire purchase but today made it 7days since i effected a withdrawal without getting my credit. I have chatted up almost everyone but still no resolve yet. Since the delay is only affecting the exclusive hire purchase, why are we non-exclusive hires getting our credit?
FYI, i did not receive any email from your office

Topshow2010:
The patient, a quadriplegic with an irregular heartbeat, was set to get a pacemaker when a test came back suggesting he had pneumonia, delaying surgery and lengthening his hospital stay.

But when a medical team consulted at his bedside, Brandy Gunsolus, a Rutgers University clinical lab doctoral student and certified medical laboratory scientist, questioned the diagnosis. She noted the man used a breathing tube – and that bacteria found in a test result likely came from the tube, not his lungs. A second test, considered the gold standard in medical care, was clear. The attending physician agreed with her assessment.

“He got his pacemaker the next day, which saved 10 days on intravenous antibiotics, 10 days on a ventilator and $22,000 in hospital costs,” said Gunsolus, who is completing her residency at a Rutgers-affiliated Georgia hospital.

At that moment, Gunsolus felt fully integrated into the health care team. For the past year, the doctoral student has been a pioneer in a new health care model that brings advanced-practice clinical lab scientists to a patient’s bedside to work hand-in-hand with physicians and other health care professionals.

On May 16, Gunsolus will be the first graduate of a doctoral program that is the first of its kind in the nation – Rutgers School of Health Professions’ advanced practice doctorate in clinical laboratory science (DCLS). The school launched the program in 2014 to address an ongoing need for greater accuracy and cost efficiency in lab testing.

Gunsolus saw firsthand the need to integrate lab science into the health care system. A medical lab manager in Louisiana, she was frequently asked what lab tests to order and if she could help interpret the results. Her desire to be fully prepared to answer those questions fueled her decision to get a master’s degree in clinical laboratory science at the School of Health Professions in 2013 and then to enroll in the doctoral program.

“There is a gap between practicing physicians and labs not understanding the correct tests to order or how to interpret them. For patient safety, we need to fill this gap,” she said.

In addition to performing rounds at the hospital with the medical team, Gunsolus reviews all laboratory test orders and is part of the hospital’s diagnostic management team as well as a nationally sponsored consumer information response team that answers patient questions about lab tests. During her residency, she documented nearly $700,000 in savings that came from consulting with clinicians and health care providers about lab tests. But what most excites her is being part of the attending health care team.

“At first it was a bit scary. I didn’t know if I’d be accepted, but overwhelmingly there’s been a positive result,” said Gunsolus, who has written a blog about her journey in the Rutgers doctoral program. “I’ve had physicians say, ‘I want you to do the rounds with me every day.'”

She looks forward to beginning her paid job June 1 at the Augusta, Georgia, hospital as the nation’s first doctor of clinical lab science.

“Brandy has become a trailblazer, forging a new clinical career path for medical laboratory scientists and advancing the quality of health care,” said Nadine Fydryszewski, DCLS program director and professor in clinical laboratory science.

Pls what is this gold standard test? Was the patient on a ventilator? How was the initial sample collected? Any other risk factor for pneumonia apart from quadriplegia in this patient?
