The story of Rivers State is open if you have a neutral mind. The two LGA under lockdown are where u may consider to be called Portharcourt, over 95% of the companies in Rivers State and their workers live in this place, all the cases of Covid 19 were recorded there. So it makes sense to isolate this places properly not like what was observed in some parts of Lagos and Ogun were people were moving about during lockdown. Lockdown if done properly, we can beat this virus by simply quarantining and isolating those that are infected.

There is no motive here, all I see is a gateman (Wike) working hard to keep his home safe.

yes my area is totally locked. the notice was sent on Monday before the enforcement commenced on Thursday. I know all hands are not equal and not everyone could afford the money to stock up foods till God knows when the lock down is going to be eased. but the benefits outweigh the other if you understand the nature and speed of transmission when movements are not restricted. the governor has said he is going lift the lock down once the objective is achieved. I hope you have heard about the 3new cases this morning, do you know where these people are and other people their status could affect if they were allowed to move freely?

Rivers residents need understand that it's for our good that wike is enforcing lockdown. we don't need the outbreak to overwhelm our health system before we can follow guidelines. btw, apart from the index case, and the hotel case at rumumasi that turned out to be positive along with the children, where are these recent cases turning out from?

I support wike's action � percent. the lockdown is the right thing to do now, borders especially should be strictly manned to avoid the influx of commercial and private vehicles with covid19 patients.

wish you the same my dear. am in portharcourt and yes the lock is to protect residents, it better than having what is playing out in Lagos and Kano here.

wike is trying his best to protect the state against the dreaded virus simple. if the federal government had been fair in distribution of parliatives to cusion the effect of the lockdown.

the lockdown is for our good please. if not for the fact that most people do not have means of sustainance and the govt is not helping out, there couldn't be other way of curtailing the spread especially given this new influx of almajiri down south. lockdown is the only way to check possible outbreak and contend it.
and for the records, what are these security persons doing at the borders? people traveling up and down in supposedly locked borders. wike should rise up against this porous borders.
