Uwaiwe: I safely arrived UAE courtesy of Kenya Airways. Lagos- Nairobi-Dubai . Unvaccinated travellers are allowed both tourist and resident visa holders. I'm actually Unvaccinated and was allowed to travel freely to Dubai. The process of returning to UAE from lagos is smooth and easy. No much scrutiny at UAE, all long scrutinies were observed at Naija Airport only. Once you follow the simple procedure of 1. Get approval codes from ICA website with your valid visa. Youu will present this approval code at Nigerian airport. 2. Have a valid covid test result. Presumably Done in the morning of departures in lagos. Some centres issue test results in less than 12hrs. It's Advisable to use Night flight from Lagos so PCR result will still be within 48hrs validity on arrival in UAE. Though no one checked that my result in Dubai.
3. Have at least 100$ cash to cover PCR test and snacks in Nairobi. In Nairobi, Kenya Airways provided free transportation to test centre for PCR test. PCR Test cost $60 only. What we did was RT PCR test 6hrs before departure from Nairobi. On arrival in Dubai, Free PCR test was done swiftly at the Airport. And off I zoom in to UAE. Thanks to all Nairalanders that shared info here. You helped made my trip possible. More grace to Kenya Airways. Where did u do ur pcr test in.lagos? |

Soft42k: It depends on the airline. If it's KLM or Airfrance, the validity of the Covid-19 test is 72 hours, which means you have to do the test on or before 72 hours before the departure time. You can do the test on Wednesday or Thursday.
I did mine on Saturday, i received my test result on Sunday, and i left for France yesterday. Tnkx alot,if I do it on a Wednesday and get the result on Thursday, what date will it be showing that I took the test, the date i took the test or the day i received the result? |

HRprof: Is important you book appointment where you fill in your application it might be an issue for you. Meanwhile ensure your jurisdiction before selecting location for your application. For instance you can not leave in Lagos using your Lagos address and apply to submit your visa application in Abuja. Abuja submission centre are mostly those living in the north
I made that mistake when I apply the 1st time coming from port Harcourt to Abuja centre and i was told that my jurisdiction is Lagos. I insists they collect it since I'm already there and they provided a paper for me to sign and accept the consequences before I submit my applications. Since then I have not use Abuja again. What if the type of Visa u are applying for cant be done in Abuja? |

[quote author=TheMan3 post=105873540]I don't think Brazil issues transit visa. You don't need a transit visa if u are staying in the airport for less than 8 hours. If you are staying for more than that, u have to apply for a full Visa.
If you have any information share it here let everyone see. Which one is DM me??[/quote Tnkx for the info,my transit is just for 5 hours,I av tried to send an email to the embassy but no response from them yet |

naijaspeak: Dear Carolrex,
On processing fee to Brazil,I am afraid I may not be able to provide that information. You also need to be specific about the purpose of your trip. Are you going to Brazil for study, work, visit, business or tourism?
The visa the Brazilian embassy will issue to you will be based on your main purpose of going to Brazil.
These visas all have their own cost which you must confirm from their embassy.
Study visas: issued to student who have secured admission and gotten offer letters from the school.
Work visa: issued to persons who have secured job offers from Brazil.
Visit visa: issued to person visiting Brazil to see their relatives, friends, etc. It is also issued to person attending Conferences,Seminar, trade fair, etc To process this type of visa with the Brazilian embassy you need to have an invitatation letters from the person or company you are visiting and this document you must attach to support your application.
Business Visa: it is issued to person traveling for business trip.
Tourism Visa; it is issued to holiday makers or person traveling to see attractive places abroad.
All these visas have their length of stay that is the period the foriegn country for example Brazil will permit you to stay in their country.
The cost of these visas are not the same as they have their own specific charges.
You should have a Nigerian Passport ( international passport) which is not about to expire ( a passport that will last you for at least 6 month )
You should also show to the embassy document that show that you have made arrangement for accommodation. You must have a confirmed flight ticket from your airline e.g Turkish airline,Emirate airline that your trip include a return journey. By this I mean you must pay down the cost of your return while booking for the cost of your going. Alternatively, show the immigration official an onward journey ticket. It shows you have booked for a trip to leave Brazil on or before the expiration of your visa. In some cases, the airport official may ask you for BTA ( basic travel allowance ) They sometimes ask for this to be certain that you have enough money for your trip.
The Brazilian embassy will ask you to provide statement of account ( bank statement) showing that you have sufficient funds ( money ) for your trip
I suggest you visit the Brazilian embassy for more information about Brazil visa. Thanks Pls do u have any idea on how one can obtain a Brazil airport transit Visa? |

purest21: Yea only France and Belgium embassies issue regular schengen visas. Other visa categories are issued by the particular schengen country the applicant is traveling to.
It's always easier if you're not traveling on a tourist visa to the actual destination, they don't easily believe that a regular Nigerian would wake up and decide to go on a legit vacation (and of all places, so far away to the Caribbeans) So they'd naturally need more convincing if it's a tourist visa you got for TT. I think they would require travel/medical insurance too
But don't worry much if it's a tourist visa you have, there are of course other ways to get to your destination even if they refuse you a transit visa, although TT is kinda a tough one that would require a lot of workarounds, but you can definitely get there without passing through EU, UK or US so far you have a valid visa (yea workarounds may cost you more since we're talking about TT here, other popular Caribbean locations are easier, and also most Spanish-speaking Caribbeans/Central Americas are easier too cos you can easily transit from South America. So for now you hope your schengen transit goes successfully)
Btw if it's a study visa or some other type of long stay visa you have for TT, I believe they would easily grant you the schengen transit without much hassles. Am visiting my husband who is a resident in TT |
