mcstan18: Yes. In the spirit of helping one another, I said here some weeks ago that any UNN alumnus who desires to process transcript should get in touch with me. A good number of people here did and within 5 days or less their transcripts got delivered. They are here and can testify to that. Send me a PM if you are also interested. (Please note that this is not a business venture for me, before the moderators think it is and ban me. I'm only trying to assist others the little way I can)
Cheers Ok done |

Do you have any contact in UNN @transcript? How long did it take them to process it? How much did it cost you including courier and verification? mcstan18: - Mine took less than 14 business days from the time my transcript was received. This also depends on the processing time and speed of delivery of documents/verification from your institution. In my case, UNN verified a day after WES requested. In my opinion, I think WES has the shortest turnaround time from the time you fulfill all requirements - Yes, you will be notified whenever there's a pending request on your profile |

Ok thank you! Saintp: It shouldn't be an issue. I don't think there is any law that says it is a crime to work in a family company and the person who issues you reference must not be related to you. What is most important is that the company exists and your role there can be verified.
What if your father is Dangote and the HR manager is your elder brother who is Dangote's first son, will it make your work experience in the company invalid? After all you have a degree, passed IELTS. If you ask me, I don't see any problem but let's wait on seniors in the house to put mouth on it. |

Algbenguze: Make sure your wedding date actually falls after AOR before adding him. Being totally silent on his military job may backfire if they find out. That will result in a 5 yr ban which is much longer than the 1 yr wait (which isn’t cast in stone anyway) that you’re trying to avoid. The only other option is to apply as single if you’re in so much hurry to enter Canada. The downside of that approach will also be the long wait involved in sponsoring a spouse. Think it through properly. Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I will be patient through the whole process, who knows it may not be as long as I'm predicting. God bless! |

Crystalline24: Are there other senior staff besides your mum? e.g... a HR or Personnel officer or Manager? If there is then any one of these could sign off on your work reference letter. Thanks for your response. I'm faced with E the same problem cos I work in my family company managed by my uncle. It's not such a big business with HR dept and all. It's us the family members(same surnames) that are the main staff of the business. |

herrlicher: My brother my passport dey my hand jare. I have never seem nor heard this kind of stuff b4. I have never ever stepped by feet out of the shores of this country b4. Not even @benin republic. It just an unfortunate situation and its seriously killing my morale. Went for interview 1st Aug. After a successful interview, the VO excused himself, brought another old looking man with whom they were discussing about my data fron jis screen for almost 8 mins. I was given a white paper ticked administrative processing. Was explained by the VO that they wanna do check. I obliged. 2 days later , got an email of some series of security questions whether I have left this country to LIBERIA, and list my siblings names and if I was trained or took part in one military drill to the other and where I was certain time between 2004-06 ( I competed high school at 04. Then jamb), and should answer with proofs which I obliged and sent. I just weak cos all these data match no concern me at all and as an engineer , working currently as maintenance engineer, I kept asking myself, At least they ought to have the finger print of whoever they are trying to track .....wetin come concern innocent person like me...I am not happy of this kind of delay. God will c me through in Jesus name Na wa... If you are truely not the same person, I'm sure they would find out and grant you your visa... Keep praying Sha. |

Fenix: This makes sense actually. In the UK it seemed quite common for young girls to be brought from Nigeria to serve as househelps. They'd use the visitor visa category. I wasn't aware this could also be a problem in the US. It's fine once they do the AP as fast as possible so we don't grow grey hairs. The application was done truthfully and we hope to get a good response. |

LagosismyHome: A minor going to school and live with a relative....i expect some detailed AP . Your/ her relative might be good but there been a lot of horrible stories out there . The wait is killing pele.....hopefully it will soon be over but i can understand why is been done Yes just like you predicted before her interview. It's possible they would want to find out more about my aunt and her capability to take care of her. they asked a lot about her which we expected and my sister truthfully answered. |

Fenix: Did they give any reason at all why she had to undergo administrative processing? This is so unfair to her! I know it is their country and all but I think they should be fair to students, especially if the school is resuming soon. My dear no reason. Just that her application would need to go through AP. My dad asked what that immplied, she said "sir I ve not denied your daughters visa but her app would need to go through AP. I tire o. We will just keep waiting and hoping to hear from them before the week runs out. My sister is stylishly wearing all her already packed clothes lol. We don shout tire. |

Fenix: Hello.
I am currently in the same situation. After the interview I was told that I would have to undergo administrative processing. The lady didn't initially tell me how long. When I pressed, she said a week or so. This is Day 3. My passport is still with the embassy.
The wait is terrible! I am just going through my days like a zombie. Neither here nor there. Can't even feel anything. My sister's passport was handed back to her and she wasn't told when the AP will end, even when my dad pressed on to know since her school already resumed on te 7th. The VO said they would try their best to be fast. This is her 4th day of waiting and believe me it's not easy. She is a child and doesn't understand what we the adults pass through having to go to Lagos back and forth. |

Fenix: Quickly inform your school. When I told mine, they said they could issue an extension. School is meant to resume on the 28th, with orientation being on the 21st. Ok. The school already sent a letter that covers the lateness since my sisters I-20 didn't get to us from them in time. Thank u. |

LagosismyHome: Liason directly with the school. They will be the best to advice and also advice if you need a new i20 with a revised date .... in summary the answer lies with the school Ok thank you. |

Good evening all. Has any one had to wait for this "administrative processing". The wait is not easy o. If one gets his or her visa too late, how late do you think it is to catch up with a school that already began for a month or does it depend on the willingness of the school to still accept the student despite the lateness. Can a letter from the school suffice to handle POE?
Pls lets take it easy on the thread, this is not what I saw and thought about this thread when I joined... its supposed to be a small family where we can learn and also help others from our experience. Thank u. |

It means what we got wasn't the 214B. Pls reply the pm. Cos what we got was the exact paper for approval with a case no written and the asterisk on the administrative processing. Let's believe they get back to us positively cos my dad demanded to know how fast we would get a reply since school has resumed, she said they will try to do what they can. cmbagwu: Nothing was in asterisk. It's the 214B they gave me but in a white paper. |
