If this helps anyone: I invited my sister to Canada May 2022. Before that, I invited my mom sometime in February and it was approved in April. My sister is single, young and has a very stable job. Around May this year, as the application clocked a year, I decided to email the MP of my district to intervene. He helped me find out the status of the application but says he can’t do much, that everything looks good and all we needed to do was to wait. I later advised my sister to go renew her passport to 10years cos she only had 2 years left. She did and soon after she got the passport back from immigration her PPR landed in June so she submitted ADR to update passport info. She submitted the new passport and was granted 9years VV 4 Likes |

Good day guys... Chukwu emekwala ka osi eme... He has blessed me beyond measures... He has put a smile on my face... ITA - June 25, 2018 AOR - July 13, 2018 MEP /IP1 - August 2, 2018 IP2 - November 5, 2018 PPR - November 20,2018 Visa Office : Ottawa. Transferred to Accra VO: still don't know the date but I found out in February. Hubby works in the Navy. After a lot of research on timelines for military personnel, we decided to go on with the addition with FAITH instead of sponsoring later. Got married: November 26, 2018 Raised CSE to add spouse: November 27, 2018 CIC response: November 28, 2018 Submitted spouse application: December 15, 2018 (a few documents had poor visual quality due to shrinking) ADR for Schedule A, IMM5406 and IMM0008 due to poor visual quality: December 17, 2018 Submitted: December 17, 2018 ADR for Spouse's medicals: December 21, 2018 Went back to hospital got new e medical and submitted: December 24, 2018 Spouse medicals passed: December 29, 2018 PPR: april 26,3019 1. Thanks to everyone on this thread. Started the Canada journey in 2017 after so many years of trying to get scholarships to study abroad. 2. I started reading people's experiences on NL and that was what prompted me to try. I enrolled for ielts and wrote on Dec 2nd, 2017. My score was LRWS- 9, 7.5, 7.5, 7. I prepared hard from January till I wrote in Dec, even though some months were quite tight because I was running a masters program in Uyo. 3. I decided to evaluate my transcript for B. tech From Lautech after waiting for months for my "never ending" masters thesis to be vetted. Lautech too had its own issues being on strike for over 18 months, so the moment they called off that strike in january, I paid Wes and sent my transcript. The process was very easy for me. The evaluation was ready early March. 4. My crs score with just the B.Tech wasn't still enough, my birthday was approaching in April and the masters program was still unsure cos nasu was now on strike. Luckily, Nasu called off the strike in March and I ran to Uyo to pick up my vetted thesis. I quickly corrected it and submitted hard bound copies for senate to sit. My masters degree was awarded 2 days later. So I quickly paid Wes again and sent my transcript for evaluation in April. The evaluation was ready in June, so my crs shoot up from 435 to 470. I also didn't have continuous work experience from one company so I wanted to use just one year from recent years which would take my crs to 445. I didn't know what the cut off in the next draw would be so I played safe with the 3 years... 5. On June 25, 2018, there was a draw with 442 cut off, I checked my account and saw my ita had not dropped so I removed the other 2 years and my score dropped to 445. I got ITA a few hours later. N/B. I did an LOE for this o, to explain why I moved my other 2 years work experience to personal history. 6. In April my dad gifted me my 100% pof and we did a gift deed with his lawyer. I went to Lagos for medicals and police certificate. I got the other documents like bank statement, employment letter, confirmation letter, reference letter and I had loads of documents I uploaded, I even had to prove my relationship with my uncle who lives in Canada, I did this with pictures cos there was no Birth certificate to use. I had loe for every place holder. On July 13th I submitted and the wait began. While waiting, I messaged MP Ralph in October and was informed that my VO was Ottawa, this gave me hope. 7. I started planning on adding my fiance in November so we began preparations in October. 8. I received ppr on the 20th of November, 2018 6 days before my wedding. A day after my wedding I raised cse. They responded and we gathered documents including updated POF and submitted on the 15th of December, 2018. We received ADR few days later for clear copies of the previously submitted docs and another e medical document. 9. In February, I ordered notes and I raised cse in March when I was becoming impatient, to know the status of my application and that was when I found out my file had been moved to Accra... I didn't know how to feel... Could it be my husbands military service? This worried me... I mailed Ralph again in March and I was informed our marriage was confirmed genuine and my spouse added to my application on the 6th of February, 2019. 10. I surrendered all to God... Told Him not to put me to shame cos trust me, thoughts were coming as to why I didn't just go and sponsor later... As worries set in I raised cse and wrote a painful piece, they replied saying they'll try to make it faster but I should forward all enquires directly to AVO.... I sent same message to AVO and till now I didn't get a reply... Till now my GCMS note hasn't come... Thank God for this group for our joint prayers and moral support... 77 Likes 11 Shares |

I went to Lagos from Nsukka to do medicals at Children's practice and police certificate at alagbon. I got the other documents like bank statement, employment letter, confirmation letter, reference letter and I had loads of documents I uploaded, I even had to prove my relationship with my uncle who lives in Canada, I did this with pictures cos there was no Birth certificate to use. I had loe for every place holder. On July 13th I submitted and the wait began till yesterday. While waiting, I messaged MP Ralph in October and was informed that my VO was Ottawa, this gave me hope. 7. If the old people on this thread remember, I once asked questions about adding my fiancé who works in the Navy. After a lot of research we decided to go on with the addition instead of sponsoring later. So we began the marriage process in October and I'm planning to add him after our marriage on Monday. We will do this trusting God to fix the rest for us. We also hope to become a guide for others who would want to add military spouse or vice versa in the future. 8. If there is a link to guide us with adding spouse post PPR pls alert me. 9. Thanks to Mcstan for being a brother and a friend... He has been so helpful to me and my fiancé. Thanks to everyone who in one way or the other answered my continuous questions. Thanks to fizzle for adding me to his "family", I'm glad I benefitted from that family. May God bless you all and grant your heart desires soonest in Jesus name. Amen. 10. My advice to everyone is, keep on trying, if ielts is the challenge keep on pushing and the result will be worth the stress. If evaluation is the challenge, keep pushing and soon it will all work out... If POF is the challenge, keep asking for help and trust me at the right time that help will come through... I feel like the luckiest person here cos this time last year, I didn't even know my fate with my ielts, pof, application fees or completion of my masters program... I almost gave up both thank God I pushed through and graduated. 85 Likes 1 Share |

Congrats to all PPR recipients. Pls I need some explanations. While filling my application pre-ita I chose that I have an uncle who is a citizen, post ITA, they are requesting I upload his proof of citizenship and proof of relationship. I thought I can only do this if I claimed points for having a sibling. How can I prove our relationship as my father's sibling? |

Hello all, this is how I was finally able to request to pay courier fees from WES CA to my institution for verification of my documents... So instead of waiting for 2-4 weeks for your verification to be sent via regular mail to your school that is far away from Lagos , you can pay courier fees to expedite the processes. I had to write the letter below and faxed it via hellofax as suggested on this group, this was after I had used the contact us 3 times and I never got a positive response. N/B: this request also attracted higher HST (ie instead of paying a total of $120.91 CAD for evaluation upgrade, I paid $216.96 CAD) WES REFERENCE NO.: --------------- Good day, My name is ----------------. I would like to request to pay for my VDR to be sent via International Express ($85 CAD) from WES Canada to my Institution (University of -----) in Nigeria in order to expedite the request for verification of my B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD----- degree documents from the institution. This is because it takes a longer time for regular mails to be delivered within Nigeria. Thank you. Yours Sincerely, ------------------ 16 Likes 7 Shares |

Yes my Btech ECA was ready on March 13 and and soft copy sent to me. I paid for my Msc evaluation on March 23rd. I also thought it will be same $233.91 but was surprised to see $120.91. I chose for the ECA be delivered to my relatives house in Toronto. My Btech ECA got there on the 15th of March. manlikegb: |
