They are not short staffed. If they are short staffed, how come MDAs have been paid? They are just been wicked.

Non payment is not even worst. What is worst is no communication from them to tell us the reason for delay. They will just say anytime they see their salaries let them take.

Nobody should even tell me Nigeria is broke. Nigeria is not broke. For only one month that people didn't go to work they want to say Nigeria is broke.
That no communication is the most painful part. At least tell reason for the delay.

So far so many institutions had received March 2020 salary alerts, leaving very few institutions with some great areas in

However, all these issues as informed by IPPIS Director are technical issues, as IPPIS is set to pay arrears of minimum wage to all higher institutions members that had been captured by IPPIS.

In view of this, our March salaries (YabaTech and those who are yet to be paid) was just received by CBN this morning around 8am, but in line with the financial regulations, it will take at least 24hours before payment could reflect in various accounts.

In view of this, we've been assured that alerts will start coming in Friday evening or latest Saturday morning.

Please note, there had been another set of complaints again with regards short payment against march salaries also from different institutions, reasons given by IPPIS is as a result of bursars of various institutions not submitting their staff complaints on time. IPPIS however promised to make amend all these irregularities come April salaries.

Also, note as we've been informed, arrears of 9 months will start dropping as from next Tuesday. Our prayer now is that for all these agreements be met asap.

In conclusion, I implore us all to be calm, be law abiding and please.

Thank you all, enjoy your weekend and wish you all happy easter celebration.

Received this from a union leader in a Federal University:

Dear esteemed members,

Since we last communicated with you on our pay, we have carried on with our investigations through discreet IPPIS sources. The following represents the information we got for now, pertaining to February and March salaries:

1. Deductions for pension was 7.5% of gross pay as opposed to 7.5% of basic salary which used to obtain.

2. Union due was deducted for everybody and it was made 2% of gross pay, again as opposed to 2% of basic salary.

3. IPPIS taxes gross pay and uses real tax formula as opposed to negotiated tax we were paying before.

4. There now is a 2.5% compulsory deduction for National Housing Fund (NHF). It is a compulsory savings scheme introduced by the FG.

5. That we were paid what was called "peculiarity allowance" in February but that it has now been discovered that we were not entitled to it. This was stopped in March. And what was mistakenly paid to us in February was also deducted.

Finally, and this will surprise everybody: information we got has it that the new minimum wage has been implemented, that it was what was used to pay us in Feb and March. Arrears have however not been paid.

We have written to the IPPIS Director to demand for payslips (for clarifications) for the months of February and March, among others.

Thank you all for your patience.
This IPPIS na confirmed one Chance

So why would your first advice to someone be to give up his children for adoption? Because you have been lucky to earn well and have NEVER had financial difficulty.

Therefore you don't have empathy when it comes to those who have been in financial difficulty so much so that you can advice a father who lost his wife to give up his children for adoption.

Since you don't know what it means to have financial difficulty as you have been privileged all the while, why comment when you cannot empathize?

Is it an advice you would give your brother? Let me guess...he also earns very well and has never been in financial difficulty.

Or is your advice only for people who don't earn well like you? Since they don't have money like you, let them go to an orphanage and keep the children there?
My dear save your energy cause she will never understand since she has never ever experienced financial difficulty.

She is your fiance not your wife so please allow her to go and stay with her friend. If you ask your mum to leave no matter how polite you sound ,she will definitely say you are chasing her out of your house cause of your fiance and she will hate the girl the more .

Oga, let me take you to the canvass. You're blaming government, our environment, non teaching staff, school management, but you fail to apportion the right blame to those 'certificate- holding, overly corrupt, thieving bunch of alter egos' you call lecturers. How convenient for a 'lecturer'?

For you, lecturers are not the problem! Well, news flash! They're the major problem in our education system! As an academic, how many inventions have you made? How many unplagiarised work with meaningful impact on the Nigerian society have you written? Aba traders are developing Nigerian made face masks to be distributed to Nigerians; what has our 'researchers' done? Nothing. Our 'researchers couldn't even research about how to create locally made masks, let alone find a cure for the current pandemic! If you ask me, majority of Nigerian lecturers are empty brains with very little knowledge to impact. I know how many I give materials and create online presence for, for effective teaching and learning. Bunch of obsoletes!

I work in an academic environment and I see the rot academics create. The number of girls they sodomize. The uncountable number of 'sorting' they sanction. The wickedness they met out to those that refuse or are incapacitated to 'comply'. I see the number of bright minds they made depressed.

You lots are worse! Stop the blame game! We're all in this together. Every facet of our national life is affected by this malaise called 'corruption'. The earlier we tackle it collectively without looking for whom to blame, the better for all of us. Even with all the fundings in this world, corruption won't allow us develop. Stop exonerating yourself from the decay because you're no better. You, most definitely, are not!
End of discussion. This una argument na for people wey don eat bellefull.
