I just got admitted to into a polish university...
I was asked to upload my eligibility letter and legalized high school certificate.

Please can anyone share or help me with samples for both documents

Will really appreciate... thanks in anticipation...

Go to Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja. They will authenticate your high school certificate and issue you eligibility letter at your request

No, not like they would know if you don't tell them?
But if you decide to tell them, it is still not a problem, as people change careers, so you're probably not satisfied with your course of study from the previous bsc and you want to ply a different path, that's completely allowed. Mind you the polish embassy would most likely not ask any of these, they are majorly concerned about the documents you're submitting... that's where the questions emanates from.
I see no reason why you should include your bsc credentials too, it's totally unnecessary. Try not to complicate things.

I know it will not be a problem when applying for the school... But my fear is when I go for visa interview, they may start asking questions.. like why am I going for Bsc again in Poland when I have one already in Nigeria.

A-side the fact that the 'interview' is just submission of documents, not like what you have in the German and American embassy. You'll also not be submitting anything that pertains to your first degree.

Moe will state that your HND qualifies you for a postgraduate diploma (I'm talking about the eligibility statement)

I just wanted to clarify this...
MOE states that Bsc qualifies one for Postgraduate studies in the Eligibility letter. Isn't that the same with HND eligibility letter?

Thanks very much but how much will it cost to authenticate each documents at ministry of education and foreign affairs

It depends, if you're doing it yourself budget 10k for everything. If it's by proxy, budget from 30k and above

More blessings to everyone giving insights on this group...

1. For the submission of documents at embassy, which is good, Lagos or Abuja, will I be charged any fee there?

2. How many days will it take me for MOE & MoFA?

3. After how many months can I bring my family?

God bless you as you answer this questions.

1.) To my understanding, there's only one Polish consulate in Nigeria and it's in Abuja. I think there's a visa fee and you'll have to pay for legalization, all in euros. Check page one for more info on this.

2.) If you're doing it yourself, it should not take more than two days. By proxy, it could take two days to two weeks

I don't know about number 3

You cannot legalize your certificates at the ministries of Education and Foreign affairs, you authenticate your documents there. Legalization is done at the Polish consulate and it costs 30 euros per document.

Alex246:
I want to apply for Bsc in a Poland University but have already finished my Bsc here in nigeria... I don't knw if it will be a problem.

It will not be a problem. Get your WAEC certificates as well as secondary school report card ready, preferably SS 1-3 results. That will be your transcript.

Having gone through the process of authentication at the MOE and MFA by proxy, I'm here to debunk a few myths:

Student transcripts
Original student transcript the one with Not for official use is actually accepted at both ministries. I used my student transcript because I was not ready for the stress of getting the original ready in a short time and it was accepted.

Not just anyone can get your documents authenticated For four reasons:
1)The process of authentication requires the original of some very sensitive documents:
-Waec certificate
-Birth certificate
-Transcript
-Degree certificate

If you are like me that consider these documents highly sensitive, you obviously cannot leave the handling of these documents to strangers.

2) The workers of MOE derive joy in frustrating the efforts of people getting their documents authenticated by proxy so the process can be tasking and time consuming. You need someone trusted to do the follow up and running around because it is not a smooth ride at all.

3)The person also has to know what an authenticated document looks like so agents don't present you with fake authentication (yes, there's such a thing). For instance, the MOE first gave my representative an unsealed eligibility letter. He had to return it and ask for it to be sealed.

4)The person may charge you lots of money because like I said before, the process is time consuming and stressful. If you can entrust your money to strangers, by all means pay and hope for the best. The cost of authentication for me was about 30k and that didn't even cover the running around my friend did, plus printing as compared to when you do it yourself at the MOE with N300 per document and N800 per page at the MFA.

P.s: If you can avoid getting the documents authenticated by proxy, please do because it is faster, cheaper and easier when you do it yourself.

You need passport pictures
When you're sending your documents to someone, please remember to add passport pictures like 3-4 and also make three photocopies of each documents.

Laminated certificates
There's no need to delaminate your certificate before sending. Whoever is authenticating will tear a piece of the lamination from behind and sign.

Use a trusted courier to send your documents
I used GIG logistics to send my documents to Abuja and it took three days. They charged 4300 from their Jibowu office to Abuja and I feel it was worth it. Please don't entrust your certificates to drivers because you want to cut cost, it may end in premium tears.

I hope this helps someone

Someone recently mentioned an online course that lasts for 6months(I think it's from a UK institute), and doesn't require writing exams, cost I remember is about 600plusk she mentioned. A friend needs this info. I've gone back page after page on the thread, but can't find it. Can anyone
me to it please?

Forget it, you can't use it as two or more certificates because there will be no transcript

It's possible but get ready to pay an agent to handle it for you because the ministry workers will not collect the certificates from the person unless you share the same surname

Thanks Courage for this information.
Please I’ve been asked to submit a notarized copy of my original certificates by the school. Does it mean authenticating my documents as you did? Also, am I to notarize all documents that I’m sending to the school? (International passport, degree certificate, transcript etc)

Last but not the least, could you kindly share with me the number of the guy that sorted your authentication at the ministry so I can do likewise.

Thanks a lot.

Notarization is different from authentication
You don't need to go to the MOE or MFA to get your documents notarized. Go to Ikeja high court if you're in Lagos and ask any of those agents for notarization, they'll direct you to a notary public. It cost me 500 per documents in 2018, I don't know how much it will cost now.

Ps: You can ask the school for the documents they want you to notarize

Please I'm really curious, do you compulsorily need to legalize your documents at the polish embassy? Or you just legalize at the ministry of education and foreign affairs.
Asking for university of Warsaw precisely

You authenticate at the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs and send your original documents. You can legalize when you go to apply for visa
