To those that sent me PMs, I will respond shortly. It's been so so busy and thank you for your patience. Also, don't be bullied out of asking your questions on here; it's a public forum smiley

And no one said it was! Perhaps you should have a re-read of the original post before jumping into conclusions, Mr. Know-It-All!!

overlord77:

Mere speculations. It's not stated anywhere that a UK visa is a prerequisite to getting an American visa. I got my US visa on a new passport with not a single travel experience.

So sorry I know nothing about visa application process. It was hubby who helped out.

Anitaamich:

My husband is suggesting that I get uk visa, he said I can do fast track and get within one week and then apply for US... how possible is that? He said a friend of his did fast track for his uk visa and got under 5days.
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Amazing01: 5:48pm On Sep 10, 2018
Before reapplying or applying, may I suggest you get first get a UK Visa, perhaps. My mom-in-law who got her visa to the US in August said the VO actually made up his mind after he looked through her passport and saw her visa to the UK which she got about 2 weeks before she attended the interview for the US Visa.

Most importantly, please for God's grace and favor cos she mentioned that were a lot of blue paper given out that day but she continued to pray . even during the interview which lasted for about 5 mins.

[quote author=Anitaamich post=71067748]Hello everyone, I had my interview and was denied, I didn’t believe it because I overprepared. I was always on this thread and read almost every visa interview. The guy that interviewed me didn’t even check a single document. Here is my transcript, please what went wrong.
VO: good morning, how are u today
Me: good morning, I’m fine (with a smile)
VO: where are you going to in the US
Me: Houston, Texas
VO: what are you going to do in the US?

Yes to question 1

Question 2. Depending on age you could get a booster seat which is more travel friendly .

Gloriouscrown:
Good morning mamas, please will I be allowed to carry snacks and drinks through the immigration for my toddler before we board?

Also while in Houston do I need to carry a toddler car seat along for when we go out with Uber.
Thanks

What she actually meant by that is were your children born in the states? Are they citizens of the United States?

lollipop29:

Thanks for your response, I really do appreciate. My children are not missionary kids. They are Nigerian children that accompanied their mom.

Hello house! Anyone looking to share an apartment in Atlanta GA in September/ October and/or November should send me a message. Apartment is about 5 mins from a very affordable hospital.

Thank you.

Hi All, I’m not Nigerian but I hope it’s ok to ask a few questions - there is so much knowledge in this thread!! I am pregnant and looking to give birth in the USA. I am eligible for ESTA so I don’t believe I will have any visa issues. I’d like to bring my MIL along and she will need one but hopefully I can work out a tourist visa for her.

My main concern is lying about my objective at the POE, I was considering saying I was on a baby moon but everyone in the thread seems to straight up say they are coming to deliver. Doesn’t that risk being denied entry? When I have travelled to the States as a tourist they are mean enough, let alone as a pregnant woman on a mission.

Also, I am having trouble figuring out where to give birth. Hawaii is the closest state to me, is there anyone with info about giving birth there? My second preference would be NYC because that’s the only city where I know a local.

Doctores Para Ti seems to be the only website in English with a birth package, do you know of any in Hawaii or NYC? I sense from the posts that the alternative is googling hospitals and asking for their rates for non insured patients, is that right? Do you ask for these in writing and present them when you arrive, hoping to get the same numbers? If you arrive in the 7th or 8th month do you need many check ups or do you just visit the hospital for the birth?

This is a long shot but I’d love to have a water birth, is this normal in any US hospitals that you know of?

Thanks xx

I would advise that you declare your true intentions at the POE. I have British passport and had my baby in the states. When asked at the POE what my visit was for, I said I was there to have my baby and that it was my husband's wish for his children to be born in the states. I got stamped in for the max duration which is 90 days .I must state tho that we had prepaid hospital and doctors fees but were not asked.

Lifeline Children's Hospital tends to use ear piercing guns (though it tends to run out quickly and they charged N5000 for piercing as at last year). They have locations in Surulere and Lekki so you could check there.

Thank you x

Good morning everyone.

1. Please can someone recommend a good children hospital in the ikeja axis. Ideally one that has a pedetrician.

And please not St. Ives. Had my ANC there but services were CRAP. Plus they have just general practioners and not specialist doctors.

Thank you

First consultant is a lovely hospital in obalende, I almost died when I delivered my first child in ST IVES. Information is the key. Trust in God.

Wish I had seem this review about St.Ives. They charge a lot for antenatal but they are C R A P. How can such a big hospital have only ONE qualified ob/gyn. Glad I never used them for delivery as I had my baby in the US.

Follow the process by sending the email. However at the Dubai session lsst month, the thank you email and the permission to attend email were eventually not checked there. People who have no emails and their names not on the list brought by the NBPNP team were allowed to write their names and participated with some getting ITA. Maybe it happened that way because of the crowd. This is just to let you know how it happened there. Goodluck

Thank youuuu

Hi, Did you send the email to them before applying? you need to print out the "you are welcome to attend" email sent to you as well. if you have done your ECA and your Ielts, fill the EOI form and go with that as well. you will likely get your ITA on the spot

No. Didnt send an email. Only applied online and got the "thank you for registering" email which contained Venue of the event. Will do as you have said. Thank you very much

You will get an email a week or 2 weeks before the session, with the required documents to take along.
But during the uae sessions, they required just the completed EOI form, ielts (and that of spouse if you are claiming points for their ielts), and ECA report.
The event was approximately 1hr.30minutes, they played a video about NB for 15/20minutes, then talked about some major points about the nomination process and the cic stage.
After that they conducted a pre-assessment interview and issued ITA to those that met their requirement.

Thanks very much.

Thanks for this info.. X

greetings:

Quebec has changed rules, English speaking people can apply so long as you meet the minimum points which is 47 without spouse or 57 or so with spouse.

The only thing I have a reservation for is integration and jobs for English speaking people. Knowing fully the province is french oriented.

I'll post some links later.

Cheers.

P's, Nogen, i replied your email.

Let's hook up on this Quebec thingy. People don't discuss it much here and I don't know why. Will send you a PM now.

To apply to Quebec, you need yo be versed in French and if you both are, then its sthg you should actually pursue...
