Even in time of conflicts and wars, the love of the country, selves, and comrades
propell fighters to dig deeper for success. So this love is a very serious
energy for the species. That must be cultivated.

PoliticsA Reflection On Love by amazonia(op): 1:45am On Feb 02, 2011
Simple Love.

Not the complexity of sexual love.
Not the love of god.

Just Love.
Being tender, really gentle in one's whole approach to all things.
Being sensitive, to have tender feeling for things.
To see an animal suffering and do something about it.
To remove a stone from the road because bare feet walk there.
To pick a nail on the road because someones tyres might get puncture.
To feel for people, animals birds, flowers, trees. Not because they're yours.
But, just because you are awake to the extraordinary beauty of things.

The moment you are deeply sensitive, you naturally do not hurt people or things.
There is spontaneous desire not to distroy things. This is real respect. Love.
To love is the most important thing in life.

What Do I Mean by Love?

When you love someone because that person love you in return?
This is not love.

When you promptly jump up when an elder comes into the room?
This is not respect, but fear.

To love is to have that extraordinary feeling of affection without asking anything in return.
You may be very smart, achieve high positions, but if you have not this sensitivity, this
feelings of simple love, your heart will be empty.
It is very important for the heart to be filled with sense of affection, then we wont destroy,
and won't be ruthless, and there won't be wars any more.
Then, we will be happy, for in this happiness itself is God.

How is this Love to come into being;

Love must begin with the educators (teacher/parents).
If besides given information about other things, the teacher/parent has his/her
feeling of love in the heart and talks about it , if the mentor (teacher/parents)
spontaneously removes the stones or litters from the road, and does not allow
the servant to do all the dirty jobs. And if in conversation, in work, in play,
when he eats, when he/she is by you or by him/her self, he/she feel this strange thing
and point it out to you often, then you also will know what is LOVE.

You may have a clear skin, a nice face, you may wear a lovely attire, or be a
great athlete, but without love in your heart, you are an ugly human being.
And ugly beyond measure.
When you love, wether your face is homely or beautiful ,it has radiance.
To love is the greatest thing in life. It is very important to talk about love.
To feel it.To nourish it, to treasure it, otherwise it soon dissipates, for the
world is a very brutal place.
The moment you have in your heart this extraordinary thing called
Love, and feel the depth, the delight, the ecstasy of it , you will discover that
for you the world is transformed.
I beg to disagree with the bolded part, atleast not with the bunch of retarrds that dominated the helms of our politics.what we need is to flush out them and only an uprising by Nigerians themselves could achieve that purpose.
The series of constitutional amendments we've seen in the past have not yielded any result and the status quo will always remain the same if Nigerians continue with the ''e go better'' approach.
I agree, "e go better" approach won't do it.
Amendments, and relevant laws have to be enforced to derive the intended benefits.
We have the opportunity to "flush out the retards' in the fortcoming elections. We need
to organize individually, groups, to storm the polling stations with tapes, cameras, video
links to document irregularities we happen to see, and post to share with orders. And as
evidences for possible courts litigation's later.
We might have a lot of problems now, navigating the democratic learning curves, i won't
trade our position for the uncertain predicament of Egypt mob(ocracy) today.
Our duty is to storm the polls and make sure our votes counts.
Of course, there will be winners, and losers. And every parties should take
their results gracefully, pending any verifiable otherwise.

@Bluetooth
It takes patriotism to champion a revolution which is lacking among Nigerians.
Most NIDO do not really care about Nigeria. All I see every now and then is long,sugar-coated but irrelevant comments. If we must change Nigeria,we need a unity of purpose among all Nigerians both home and abroad to achieve what the Tunisians achieved within days.
You're right, patriotism, sense of belonging, and ownerships in the nation.
That, we are all in this together. Wether good or bad , is ours to make  a
lemonade out of its bitterness. It requires basic re orientations of mind set.
We have enough, but greedy few have too much than they deserved. And
are not making good use of it for the growth of the nation.
Who know how much billions of dollars/pounds of Nigeria wealth are now
buried in sub-terrial earth not earning a kobo, but depreciating daily in it
values and purchasing power. These are resources that could help spur
private major capital investments. And create jobs.etc.

The changes we need in Nigeria now are constitutional amendments.
They have been too slow about this.I guess pre-election frenzies has put
other things on hold.

Good leadership is good. but is not guaranteed any leader will be good,
Till proved so by leading right. So a good system can help get good leader,
and provides channels to make peaceful changes when it becomes necessary.

GenBuhari:
Democracy? What democracy? huh

If we truely had democracy, do you think we would be in the state we are in at the moment?
Gen.,

You are right, our country is not doing as much as it could.
We have to work together to make that happen. Thank God we now
have a democratic platform to work from, Though full of faults, we have to
work to perfect it.On this forum, i had read people calls for SNC, etc. These
are good. These are only possible in secular democratic societies like our.
Yes, we do have democracy, but as of now, is poorly utilized.
This is more as result of the people using it than the efficacy of the system,
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Needs All Her Citizens Abroad To Come Home And Fight The Government. by amazonia(m): 9:14pm On Jan 30, 2011
Nigerians don't need to physically fight our government like Egypt and others
are doing now. We have been there, and done that. Nigeria now is on the
right Democratic path.
What we need is general societal revolution of the mind. Holding our
elected leaders accountable for their tenuous. And achieving measurable diversified
national productivity.

PoliticsRe: If You Were President by amazonia(m): 12:38am On Jan 30, 2011
If i am the president of Nigeria?

(1) I will work hard to provide civil security in the nation.
To do this now, considering the gravity of the decadence
of security in the country today, requires drastic measures.
Such measure could be total militarization of the populace.
That is instead of nysc scheme, all youths male and female
18yrs and above should be conscripted into national peace
restoration forces for 2yrs. Graduates of higher institution
can serve 1-2yrs in the army before pursuing their career.

Uneducated youth while in the force will learn trade that will
help him or her in civil life later. This action will reduce unemployed
among  the  youth populations. The organized force will provide opportunities
for many to learn about rights and wrongs. And their constitutional
rights too.

A total militarised populace with basic military proficiencies training
will ensured that all groups are protected. And any possible mischief architect
will have no illusions about the possible out come of violating others security.

So in other words, since it is impossible to disarm the nation, we might as well
go ahead and arm everybody legally by training all able people in the arm-forces.
This action will demystify the forces,by letting everybody into it. The issues
of armed-forces intimidation's will be curtained.

Not knowing, if a potential victim is armed will minimized armed truancy's.
Veterans of the programs could join the para-military/civil forces like police,
custom, immigr. etc, later. Order than security interest, the conscripts will
be engaged to provide, and produce national needs in agric and industries.
Bridges and roads building and maintenance etc.

The forces will be decentralized, and stationed in each states as national guards
and reserves, under the governors with federal over-sight.

Errr. . . amazonia is stretching the truth a little bit. On current scientific evidence, Geological 'catclysmic' events have happened and will happen but isn't the reason for human migration which happened around 50,000 years ago. Also, The San people (The bushmen) are thought to be the direct descendants of the earliest homo sapiens sapiens and NOT the bantu people and so early migrants to Asia from Africa were most probably descedants of the San rather than the Bantu which for some reason is the most populous Negroid sub-group.

This is the truth out there! This will obviously be reviewed with more discoveries. wink
@OW11
I did not suggest nor implied that human migrations is due to the incidences.
But, rather that such incidences are partly responsible for some broken links.
which are accessable to the deep-sea divers.
Bushmen/Bantus? well i mean the early migrants from the continent of
African.

PhysicsMHD:
There are MANY Japanese names and words that are eerily similar to Benin names and words and some that are similar to some Yoruba names. Of all the Nigerian languages I would say Japanese probably has the most coincidences with Edo. Especially names that start with the letter O. I might list a few later.

How there is so much coincidence in names still baffles me.
[/quote
My brother,
These similarities are not coincidences.
One way to understand these reality, is to imagine the laying of carpets over
an existing worn and damage ones, over time as the initial ones becomes bad.
This is the reality of earth over the ages. Earth, has the scars of epics geological
cataclysmic changes in the past, that plunged earth into dark ages. Today globalization
is not first, there are ancient records of trans globalism in the past.
The so called Bantu stock, is the default culture of man. You see them in all directions of earth.
Of course, the earth mass has not always been the same seize, it expands over time due to
gravitation activities of cosmic heavens.
if the moon, asteroid, comet or other heavy inter-stellar space matter fall into the earth
today, we will be plunged into eternal inferno for ages. The few hamlets of survival will in
due course repopulate the earth with little or no knowledge of the cataclysmic incidence
that presceded them.

Native Americans, that is the legendary "red indians" in the USA,

Though, overwhelmed by the Europeans culture that prevails in US,

They have many ethnic diversity like us. Heavy, on ancestral Spirituality.

Did you take any photographs at the sight? I'd love nothing more than a glimpse of those artifacts and fossils.
Interesting.

An observation: There's another theory that every being originated from Africa, but why are E. Asian languages the only currently languages found to have connections with African languages (near African)? This theory could possibly be back by the new revelation amazonia posted above.
I did not physically see, but in plated pictures of photos in magazines,
like "National Geographic". And books like, "The Evidence of Earth's Lost Civilization"
FINGER PRINTS OF THE GODS. by Graham Hancock. And much more.

As regard your observations, there had been many hypothesises and vacillations
over the ages. It is accepted generally now, by all, that Africa is the cradle of humanity.
this had been validated by all accepted means of dating of physical matters on hand.(fossils).
The writing system of Japanese hides the striking similarities between Japanese and African languages. But on closer examination of the syllables that make up the Kanji character set, the syllables easily describe the Nigerian Languages.

Japanese festivals and dressing are very African in color combination. Also Shinto is about shrines, ancestors, mountain spirits, tree spirits, the so-called heathen religions that was used to justify the enslavement of Blacks.

http://www.stewartsynopsis.com/links_to_japanese_and_african_la.htm

Very interesting piece.
Interesting, i have been prevliged to investigative resouces of deep-ocean divers.
The present day Japan is what is left-over, after some geological incidences of the past.
The Africa (Negroid) linage of the artifacts and fossils have been debated and analysed
and satisfied. The Africa origin of mankind is ascertained.
The next face, as this author is rightly doing, is to connect the dots.
That is, the synthesis, of the web of connections. Thanks to genetic engineering, the
dispersals (migrations patterns) of genetic-markers have been mapped by scholars.
There are more of Japan under the water than what is left of it today
