Gyong: And which court grant them the injunction to demolished the hotel? Guy we are in a lawless country, trust me this can't happened in a sane society. We are living in a shithole where only the not connected peeps suffered.
I agree. It is wrong to take such action without a court order. I was only pointing out that the state government had already confirmed venue of proposed sex party and even arrested the organisers, so it wasn't a rumour.
Kzinne: so any Tom dick Harry can now print a flyer saying nairaland will be the online venue for a gay party and the govt immediately shuts down nairaland? rubbish
Defenders of lawbreaker always finds excuses for them.
They should go to court if they didn't know anything about the sex party.
The Nigerian military on Saturday said it has neutralised several armed bandits at their camp in the Kuduru Forest area of Kaduna State.
According to a statement signed by a military spokesman, John Enenche, the strikes were carried out on August 13.
The airstrikes were carried out by the Air Component of Operation Thunder Strike, a joint military operation with the mission to help rid the country’s North-West of bandits presently terrorising the region.
The destroyed bandit camp, the military said, was occupied by members of an Ansaru Terrorist Sect-linked group led by one Mallam Abba.
The country’s North-West has witnessed a recent rise in bandit-related attacks, contributing to calls for the sack of Service Chiefs.
President Muhammadu Buhari has admitted more needs to be done to protect the region.
leadzeal: C'mon, can't they convert it to some other use? I hate hypocrisy.... Don't be surprised that the one that gave this verdict does unimaginable things that should not be heard in the public.
Well is the North...
Last time I heard, Wicked Wike who demolished 2 hotels for breaking COVID restrictions is from the South.
Mokason288: This are Fulani boys this case is already dead on arrival , just see how they are seated comfortably .... This case will be swept under the carpet as usual
ALIYU 23 , ALIYU 21 ... this kids are supposed to be in school... GEJ God almighty will continue blessing you... you sincerely tried helping this dead northerners
I HOPE I MADE SENSE
And who do we thank for trying to help kidnappers from the South?
senatordave1: Nothing like that.the crisis in lagos started when the shooting at lekki happened and hoodlums started burning everywhere.was it govt that sponsored them? See if endsars restart, theres a big possibility that police or soldiers will open fire again leading to another large-scale riot.this time, the looting will be more on private concerns.do you want that?
Lagos started burning in Ikorodu at least 2 days before the curfew and Orile Police station got burnt down on the afternoon of the Lekki Toll Gate incident. If the curfew wasn't called, the violence would have continued. Unfortunately, the government did not prepare for the violence that ensued during the curfew.
OldSinister: Yeah indiscipline is also the reason why half of federal roads in Lagos are sequestered for the exclusive use of a privately held commercial enterprise, and still the so-called BRT lanes remain empty because the concessionaire lacks financial heft to put buses in play while thousands of people are trapped inside traffic on the significantly narrowed lanes left over
When people are treated unfairly they know and they respond by showing you their animal character too. Nigeria is a jungle, period.
Have you just arrived back from the moon that you missed the incident of BRT buses that were burnt down just over a month ago?
StaffofOrayan: You are all bottling your anger for a Southern president, whoever is still dumb enough to want to be in the same country with Y'all
The topic is about Borno. You guy's don't even hide your bigotry anymore. If you don't like them Northerners, then why don't you just avoid topics about them.
yaki84: And am telling u, its even on record that gej liberated all those towns and communities before the 2015 eletions... Babajide otitoju a staunch buharist, tinubu loyalist confirmed this. Am mentioning gej and ihejirika cos the govr mentioned PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT who was the leader of previous government? More than 2000 people died, who counted the corpses? The propaganda machinery of apc was at work so it wont surprise me when they publish numbers without fact. They were so many deaths yet the number of voters in borno during 2015 elections surpassed that of 2011 elections.
So Babajide Otiloju knows more than the Governor, a resident of the state?
If you don't know that more than 2,000 people were killed when Boko Haram conquered Baga, then your knowledge of the war is limited and you are not in a position to question the Governor's comments.
yaki84: Which facts did he provide? Before gej left govt in 2015, all territories were recovered by the aid of those mercenaries he brought to assist the army. The insurgency war is like this pndemic... U cant curtail or contain it in its initial stage but as time goes on, they r being contained. Can u compare wht happened between april and now? Dont forget the series of letters, opposition and lack of cooperation gej met with those demonic northern leaders cos they had one objective and mission, to frustrate gej's effort in tackling insurgency in their region. They pressured gej to sack ihejirika the then COAS who really took the war to them, destroying their strongholds. It was after ihejirika left that bokoharam abducted those girls with the aid of borno governor then.. Former govr of adamawa wrote the UN that gej was conducting pogrom in the north, el rufai spoke too, even buhari spoke against declaring state of emergency in the north. So i dont understand the truth tht foolish govr said abi facts... Where are they?
Why don't you just respond to what the Governor said and leave out what happened to GEJ and Ihejirika. Zulum listed the areas that used to be under Boko Haram occupation that have been recovered. He mentioned the fact that Maiduguri has not been under attack like it used to be in those days. He mentioned Baga where over 2000 civilians were killed in a Boko Haram attack in January 2015. Just respond to the Governor's comments.
kraftysprouts: There must be another meaning for fact
Especially for someone who refuses to read. Read the Governor's account and tell us what is not a fact in what he listed. And he is referring to Borno only.
shaw2: Didn't I tell you? North will always speak in support of their own even if it leads to death. So in terms of security in Borno Buhari did better than GEJ?
Stop being simple-minded. All you need to do is dispute the facts he listed.
For instance, unlike the years before Buhari when a number of local government were no-go-areas, we now have citizens led by our traditional rulers, safely back to Bama, Gwoza, Askira-Uba, Dikwa, Ngala, Monguno, Kukawa, Damboa, Konduga, Mafa, all of which no one could visit not talk of living there. Our emirs were all in exile. Today, Bama is coming back to live and so is Askira-Uba, Damboa, Gwoza and others. Live is even returning go Baga.
“This was impossible before Buhari. In fact, it was not possible to move a few kilometres out of Maiduguri.
“Insurgents were so bold to attack and take over military facilities like the army barrack at Monguno, Bama, Giwa Barrack and Multinational Joint Task Force Headquarters at Baga to mention just a few.
“There were daily attacks bomb blasts in many parts of Maiduguri, the most populated part of the state but all of these have stopped under Buhari. These are the records and no one can dispute these records” Zulum said.
complexBoss12: You're afterall a politician, you have to be careful with the big god in Ask rock, but don't play politics with people's lives Oga!
Just the same way statistics show that Nigeria is out recession just one day after it was announced that Nigeria slipped into second recession. The same way statistics show that Nigeria economy is getting better under Buhari. Buhari is statistically distributing 30k to imaginary drivers, bike men, cart pushers and all. Everything in this govt is statistically done on paper/mouth.
And so many other statistics, gathered by who exactly??
I can only guess you didn't read the full article. The man provided enough undisputable facts to support his claim.
Udom: Governor with passion for job creation Since the creation of the state about 32 years ago, Akwa Ibom State’s economy has always been directed by civil service endeavours. While many of her governors had touted their desire to diversify the economy away from this structure, not much work appeared to have been delivered in that direction.
However, Udom Emmanuel seems to have moved in the direction of diversification. After his election and swearing in, he reportedly set out to deliver on his five-point programme of job creation, poverty alleviation, wealth creation, economic and political inclusion, as well as infrastructural consolidation and expansion.
People create jobs, not government. Government is not the best creator of jobs. Nigerians have been making that mistake hence why we are where we are today.
AFONJACOW: End buhari should be our demands... A bag of cement is 4500 despite all the raw materials are Stolen locally , how can two people be the only sole distributors of cement In a country of over 200 million population and some people see nothing wrong with it ....
You are late to the party. The sponsors always had End Buhari as their end game.
TheGoodJoe: If the Government wants peace, they will spend time creating jobs, investing in progressive economy for small businesses and reduce the excesses in Government.
You can not turn the country to a poverty capital and expect productive youths.
streetpaddy: Hmmmm, when dey will looting, did the country enter Recession, instead the country was still moving forward, pdp brought the phone we are using today, and so many thing, so of the good road we have today were from pdp, were have you seen any good road from apc, or anything good, they are just dey to loot and nothing else
How did PDP bring us phones? All phone companies are privately owned and run. Every government in the world gave licenses to telcos to set up shop.
Nigeria was not moving any forward under PDP. Before PDP, Nigeria has functioning refineries, better roads, better airports, better universities, better healthcare, better security (no Boko Haram, no kidnapping etc). Did PDP improve these things? Did they improve our Power situation? Did they improve our local food production? Did they move us closer to industrialisation? Did they improve our non-oil export earnings? Did they improve our rail network? did they improve our tax revenue and state IGRs? The simple answer to these questions is NO!
The only thing PDP has over APC is that the economy was in a much better state. And you can say that was because PDP introduced better policies but you also can't ignore the major factor - OIL PRICE CRASH in 2016 and this year. And this is the primary cause of the recession in 2016 and in addition to COVID, the primary cause of the recession this year.
And both parties loot by the way. But PDP had more money to loot because of high oil price, booming economy and a lifeless EFCC/ICPC/Judiciary who wree heavily compromised.
