A friend who has lived in Canad for years told me Option B is often the preferred one for informed individuals.

Moving everyone from the get go is not always advisable, particularly for those that have a limited supply of dollars.

People that adding spouse as accompanying is severely affecting their points can actually consider going alone and sponsoring their spouse subsequently. They would then have the following options

OPTION A
1. PA lands in Canada
2. Files for spouse sponsorship (no specified time restrictions)
3. Application is granted within 1yr.

OPTION B
1. PA lands in Canada
2. Files for spouse sponsorship
3. Spouse goes over to Canada on a visit visa
4. Spouse applies for extension of visit visa and open work permit pending when sponsor application is granted.

The above is sweetened by the fact that for sponsoring spouse, it is not required for the sponsor to show that he is earning a robust income in Canada.

I don't think this legendary story is still so. There is now a fast track process to bring spouse over and takes maximum of a year for the process to be completed. Your spouse should however undergo the medical test with you.

Not to burst your bubble, but it appears this is a different strike by Agriculture related Federal Institutions, hence the signature by the Agriculture Minister and JORAISU. Their grievance is different from that of NASU, SSANU & NAAT.

So I got my IELTS result today and I have the following:

Reading 9.0
Speaking 8.0
Writing 7.0

The writing has brought my score down to 426 instead of the maximum 429. Any need to appeal the result particularly as am not ready to enter the pool (awaiting evaluation)?

Appreciate all the helpful answers here. Please assist with these:

1. Does IQAS evaluate OND and HND as 2 or more certificates (as WES does)?

2. Will WES or IQAS evaluate OND alone as an acceptable degree?

Many thanks to the person that posted this. Just saw my wife's name as a successful applicant. Didn't even know the list has been released as I have periodically checking her mail. Just checked again now and found BOI's mail in her spam folder.
