I have seen some folks use brake oil to try to clean paint residue from other cars. This is however detrimental to the car paint. I have also tried the car scratch removal pen but got below average results.
Car Talk › Car Scratches And Other Stains by amdman(op): 5:25pm On May 04, 2016
As a car owner, scratches and paint transfers from other cars is a major issue. In Lagos for example, particularly due to the massive traffic flow, no day passes without sights of drivers having a hot debate or even a scuffle because one had inadvertently scratched the other’s car with hers. Nevertheless, everyone likes to drive the neatest cars, therefore solutions are welcome.

What is your solution to eliminating these scratches?

BiafraBushBoy:
Bubu just satisfied our greedy demand for foreign products!!

Oya let's switch to Yuan till it becomes 1 Yuan = 300 naira, we will find another country to swap with again!!!

Nigerians don't wana suffer but they want to be exporting!!

How is that possible??
How is it possible to wean your citizenry off cheap imports by making importation attractive? As long as the Govt is not willing to religiously pursue a pro naija-made policy, we will keep going around in circles.

Business › Re: Whose Fault As I Lost My First Contract To Fuel Scarcity. by amdman: 1:03pm On Apr 08, 2016
It is Buhari's fault... It is the filling station's fault... It is the contract employer's fault... heck it is destiny's fault... It is everyone's fault, but not my fault that I could not find fuel or meet an appointment.

The above are reasons businesses fail in Nigeria. EXCUSES! This is however not acceptable in today's globalised economy.

If you want to grow your business, make a commitment to get the job done no matter the cost or challenges. Think fast... Innovate... or otherwise die.

Thanks for the advice.
.
So here's my question-
What's the difference if a guarantor has to get proof from his employer?
.
Especially considering the calibre of persons stated?
Pls, educate me.
Just seeing this so my reply is coming late. Hope its still useful.

When a person is employed, he is usually put on a six-month probation period though may stretch longer than that. During this time, he is an unconfirmed staff and can be easily relieved of his job for the flimsiest of reasons.

Upon satisfaction of the employer's criteria, he is confirmed and a Letter of Confirmation issued to him. That letter is proof to the world that he is a full time staff of that organization.

aloeman15:
Huh?
The guarantors have to get confirmation from their employers?!
So the guarantors need their own guarantors!
Roflmao!
This just keeps getting better!
Ignorance on rampage!!! If you don't understand something, ask questions.

The requirement is that the guarantor must be a confirmed staff of the organisation where he works. Not a temporary or unconfirmed hire.

Career › Re: A University Degree Without A Career Path. by amdman: 7:22pm On Sep 12, 2014
The days of undertaking just about any IT course are past. Any IT course you take now must be what is relevant but missing in the local IT scene.

For example, it is not enough to be good at Cisco. Move further into other specialisations such as Certified Ethical Hacking, Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator, etc. Those skills are still largely lacking in Nigeria, and as we develop further, those skills will become more and more relevant.
Career › Re: I Need Your Advice On My Career And Choosen Profession. by amdman: 7:06pm On Sep 12, 2014
If you are passionate about marketing, then that appears to be your best bet, though you do not seem to have any marketing experience. Nevertheless, the skills you have acquired in other areas can be a plus in your marketing career. Your age also may not favour IT, as it is a rapidly changing field that you may find difficulty keeping up with, though it is not an impossibility.

I bet to say that marketing is one of the most sought after skills today. The gap in the system is filled by non-marketing professionals. The problem however appears to be that very few marketers can actually sell. If you can sell, then you are in business.
Career › Re: What Bad Managers, Good Managers, And Great Managers Do by amdman: 6:44pm On Sep 12, 2014
Kay17: Bad leaders without confidence explain themselves. A leader is like a silverback, the employees have to trust his competence. Making decisions is tough, everything about leadership is tough, one has to have a sharpened ruthless side.
I have to disagree with you. I will rather explain to my team members the rationale behind decisions taken, or involve them in the decision making process, than take a unilateral decision and tell them to carry it out.

The 21st century workplace has greatly evolved. Nowadays, the best managers are leaders, those that take the pain to develop their team members. The head of the team is no longer the boss, but the team leader, hence most good to great organisations emphasise working in teams.

I love this picture.

If you are a banker, that means you are a colleague. If you have selling skills, here is what I can do for you.

Am conducting a free training (not seminar) on importation for some of my church members. Focus will be on how, where, when and what to import as well as marketing tools you can use. Its a closed session, but I can make an allowance for you.

PM me if you like (I am not an information marketer).

This is the better option for staff of Enterprise Bank in the light of AMCON's insistence that it must be an existing bank that will make the purchase. A mass sack, except of top hierarchy is not anticipated.

try69: @op

I would love to understand somethings here..

Did pastor anita really file for divorce?

If yes,

On what grounds?

Thanks

I ask because I believe pastor chris and every other influencial person will be talked about on social networks when something goes wrong..

Now, what is the point of this thread? Or.. Was it not the same media that put christ embassy where she is today?
God, not the media, is responsible for the placement of Christ Embassy in such a privileged position. CE was blacklisted by the media (at least in Nigeria) way back in 2001, yet it has blossomed in the most unexpected manner.

DoroDiva: like seriously?
Yes seriously! And I don't do bribes. I wrote the entrance exam and waited at home for the admission list.

I just visited the Unilag application site and I don't see CGPA listed as an eligibility criteria. Till date, nobody has asked to see my transcript.

You are in that place where a lot of guys find themselves as the wedding day draws closer and closer, particularly when it has been a long relationship. I assure you that you are not alone in the game of second-guessing yourself. These same thoughts will also crop up when you get married regardless of the person. On some days, you will probably wonder why you married this person. To me, it is a perfectly normal emotion.

However, the key lies in reassuring yourself that you have made the right choice. Love is a choice, therefore, Focus on those things you so love about her and the things that first drew you to her. This will aid in positively reinforcing your love for her.

Except she has serious character defects, there is no wisdom in ending the engagement, because you wilk feel exactly like this the next time you approach the altar. I know, because am married.

Greyworld: I guess we both are flowin no d same tide. Now wat if ur family had a little business that actually cud sustain all of yu and it demanded yu 2 stay bak and assist in runnin it, wud yu av stayed bak?
If I had a family business to run, or had a job in the same city where my parents live, I would have insisted on staying on my own, not because the house is not comfortable (had a miniflat in the house while there), but because there is a mental block that is the bane of most, not all, that remain in that same environment.

Go out there and win something for yourself. It is more profitable in the long run.
Family › Re: When Is A Male Child Expected To Leave His "Father's" House? by amdman: 1:37am On Jul 12, 2014
As the fifth of 6 boys, one of the boldest proclamations I ever made was to declare in an end of year family meeting that against the practice of my seniors, the day I leave for service would officially signal the end of my residency in my father's house. I said this when I was in 300L having no idea how I was going to make it happen.

Interestingly, things turned out rather beautifully and as planned, and gave me a headstart in life.

Remaining in your father's house is the definition of remaining in your comfort zone. Get out the earliest time you can.

Wayward? That's not one of the words with which I would describe them. I married one, so I should know.

Like someone said above, girls will be wayward if they want to be, irrespective of tribe or faith. Its who you are with that matters.
