If u can open the decoder, u will see two transistors/ICs, one has heat sink on it, replace it if u can & it will b ok.

@osef. You are better off with nilesat. Even 1.8m will pick a lot of channels @ your location. Stick with Nilesat and u wouldn't regret.

@Femwal To receive cband signal, u need at least 180 cm dish and a cband lnb.

Your best option is to use dual or quad lnbf as the case may be. Looping out may pose the challenge of polarity conflict between the decoders and it may even burn your lnb if you dont set the lnbf power of one of all the slave decoders to "off". This is IMHO.

@all. I've tried the frq of NTA listed on IS 907 and 905 on lynsat but no result. is anybidy still receiving them?

please help me out. I was able to nail dstv w4 in less than a minute with my strong decoder. I blind scaned and it gave me all the dstv tps with all having good signal and quality. My problem now is that when I replaced the strong decoder with a new dstv small decoder, to my dismay it was not getting any signal. Please what could be wrong with the decoder or is there anything I still have to do on that decoder? Please help me out

First check your lnb skew, if your lnb is in 8 'o cklock position, let your dstv decoder finish scanning until it tells u it can't get signal. If after it has finish scanning it still  can get network, then it's very likely your dstv decoder is faulty.
Also, did you connect through a disecq switch?

Your dish is not pointed to w4/7 but Astra2b. Use this tp and see if u hit green 11900H27500

Is the focal length f is the distance between the focal point to the bottom of the dish or the center of the brim?
What can I use as the mould?

You can use any of those sats. irrespective of their names. Just make sure it's ku and if you use more than one dish, you'll need to set the diseqc port to correspond with the port you have connected it. Eg if u connect the dish to lnb1 on the disecq switch, you must select 1 under your disecq settings.
To track, use mytv as ref point, just lift your dish a little.

@klas. You can well turn it to free to air and You'll not regret it.

You can use it but y the upgrade. I tried to upgrade 63 and it went off. Up till mow I've not been able 2 revive it. Weigh the risk 1st o!

You can use 80cm. Thats what I use
