Gilb231: No. I’m not sure what’s wrong with their site there are never available slots on it. I even check in the mornings to see if it time dependent but nothing. I think you’d have better luck with IOM. You can try now. I think it works only on Monday. I just got a slot for November |

JustMellow: Hello Ameliag,
Congratulations!
If I am correct, 9 months is still a long time. Apply with what you have now and when you get PPR, update your passport information with IRCC. It is safe to include a succinct letter to guide the understanding of the officer.
Success is all I Wish You! Thank you |

Please I need advice from you all, my passport expires next year July and I’m about gathering all my documents to apply for my study permit for resumption May 2023. Im thinking of applying for a new passport before applying for my study permit. Please note the reason I will be allowed to apply for a new one now is because I just got married and I will be changing the surname to my husband name. Please also note that the date I got for capturing is mid December or should I go ahead and apply for a new passport while using my old passport to apply for my study permit and then update IRCC when the new passport is out. Thank you. Please I need advice |

Lotusgoddess: Good evening house. Please it’s been over three weeks I applied for EOR but haven’t received a feedback. Has anyone here experienced such? It’s just for writing and speaking.
Secondly, am I to send my TRF before or after EOR ie after receiving a remark? I wrote with BC My dear, my remark took more than 2 months to get a feedback but it was changed so be very patient and prayerful for the best. Hopefully yours will not take that long. You send your TRF after you get your new score. All the best. |

sugah: BS part 1 I didn't plan this pregnancy
My BS will include both my pre pregnancy/TTC history and After delivery care . So it'll be very long and will come in batches.
Part 1 (History) In 2008 I started noticing my flow getting heavier and id occasionally get stained but I didn't know there was a problem and I just assumed it was because I was adding a little weight after NYSC. But one day in 2010 I had really bad pains that prompted my visit to the hospital. Actually, my period for that month was late and with the pains I had I thought I was pregnant...but I was in school in the US on a scholarship so the thought of pregnancy freaked me out mehn. Saw the doctor and after tests and scans were done , the diagnosis came back as fibroids....I heaved a sigh of relief i wasn't pregnant! But ha, fibroids
I was counselled and given 4 options to choose from... Option 1: Do nothing...since I wasn't married or ready to get pregnant I was just supposed to do occasional scans to monitor the growth of the fibroids. Option 2: Take injection to shrink the fibroids...but that's only recommended before surgery as the shrinkage is only momentarily. Option 3: A myomectomy...with the possibility of a regrowth if pregnancy isn't achieved soon afterwards Option 4: Hysterectomy: i told the doctor God forbid when she mentioned this. Told her I plan to have kids so this wasn't an option for me at all.
So, I went with option 1. But I stupidly bought one "fibroid shrinking" supplement..cost me 100 dollars of my student allowee only brokedown the fibroids into plenty nodules.
From 2010 to 2013 I did a complete lifestyle change...stayed away from Carbs, sugar/fizzy drinks, alcohol etc....and I was doing occasional scans to monitor the growth of the fibroids and apart from very heavy bleeds during my period, I didn't have any other issues. But everytime the doctors asked same question....when are you getting married so you can take these things out?
Well, I got married in 2013 and although the plan was to wait one year before trying to get pregnant we had planned to do a myomectomy during the 1 Yr wait period. 2 months after the wedding and when we scheduled to have a pre surgery HSG done, the doctor gave me a drug (tranxemic acid i think) to reduce my bleeding cos by this time my bleed days during my period were between 7-15days and HSG can't be done during bleeding.
That was how I started waiting for the period to stop....5th day 6th....by the 10th day I had to inform the doctor that it hadn't stopped and he just said to wait it out. To cut the long story short, that bleeding lasted for 6 freaking months nonstop!! In between I was given all sorts of drugs/injections to try and stop the bleeding and my pcv was checked monthly but thank God my blood level was ok.
By the 3rd month, I was referred to another hospital/consultant and he said the solution was an injection that will be administered once monthly for 3 months and each shot was 75k.( Same fibroid shrinking injection as option 2)
Thankfully on the 6th month the bleeding stopped, HSG(revealed both tubes were blocked by the fibroids) and myomectomy was performed and about 30 nodules were taken out. We decided not to tell our families about the surgery (told my folks after the surgery but my inlaws weren't told at all) cos you know how Nigerian extended family can like to pressure newly weds.
I was quite active in the TTC thread post surgery. I put myself under a lot of pressure because I was scared of the fibroids regrowth if pregnancy isn't achieved immediately. I tried all sorts but long story short after 3 HSGs, follicle stimulations with Clomid/femara/letrozole and trigger shots, plenty supplements and a failed IUI I decided to try and lose some weight in preparation for IVF in April 2016. December 2015, 1yr and 6months after the myomectomy i was confirmed pregnant.
That pregnancy till the end was very stressfree...no ms, no pains, no hemorrhoids nothing. I didn't even feel pregnant at all and the delivery was taken at 37weeks due to the myomectomy.
Hubby and I decided we'd have a 3-4yr spacing between our kids cos of the nature of my job ( I didn't work all through my pregnancy and 6 months after delivery)...I needed to get my career back on track before taking another 1yr break. I tried IUD twice and they failed both times so we just stuck with Billings method +withdrawal+ morning after pill and we had a clean sheet (although I doubt i ovulate on my own).
I decided to try and get pregnant this year so in January I went back to the TTC thread to read the steps prior to my first conception. I went to the hospital to run tests for infection and took antibiotics..I joined the gym to resume exercising, got the supplements I used to lose weight (it contains inositol which is good for women with pcos and difficulty ovulating on their own), did my juice detox and started folic acid. My DH was on supplements too and fruit juices (watermelon/pineapple) but he was away at work in another state.
He returned home some days before the lockdown, my period started on 28th March, lockdown 29th March. We were BDing every other day after my period ended and it was mostly for fun...no stress or ovulation tracking etc. The plan was to try for 6 months and if nothing happens we'd go see a doctor cos I'm above 35yrs. Some days to my expected period i started feeling cramps and because I didn't see any ewcm i assumed i didn't ovulate and started planning for the next cycle so you'd imagine my surprise when I missed my period and peed on a stick and saw 2 lines. Awaiting part 2 please |

LeProfessor: Today was a very scary day, my wife called me that she was bleeding and I rushed home, after calling the doctor they told us not to worry and monitor the bleeding, but after trying to conceive for 7 years and 1 miscarriage there's no way you can't not worry, we went to the hospital and insisted on a scan and for the first time ever I saw my babies move, not just a heart beat (we are in week 12), I almost cried when I left the hospital thinking about it. The doctor said we would be fine, they explained it is most likely two of the four eggs transferred that didn't implant that caused the bleeding, and we should stop taking one of our medications.
#DiaryOfAPregnantHusband It is well with your wife and babies and she will carry till term and have safe delivery. Please if possible let her be on bed rest. God be with you and your family- Amen |

sugah: Late Monday prayer..
Lord our heavenly Father, we thank you for bringing us this far in this journey you have blessed us with. We pray that you see us through the end of the journey with our healthy babies and grant us supernatural deliveries and no loses.
We thank you for our August mothers that have welcomed their loved ones so far, we commit the rest of our August mothers into your hands and pray you will be with them in the delivery room and there shall be no loses.
We are going through this journey in a precarious time with a pandemic that's been riddled with job loses and reduced incomes, but we trust that you will provide all that's required to take care of these blessings you have assigned to us to raise.
We commit our ATC mothers into your hands Lord, we know that you have already perfected their testimonies and they will soon come to manifestation for you said none shall be barren, for this we thank you. Amen. Amen |

sugah: This group used to be very lively with daily activities and information some years ago. I've gone through previous pages and seen that some mamas had complained/tried to revive these activities but weren't very successful Weekly activities used to include Prayer Monday (Open to all religions/beliefs; mothers and fathers alike lead us in prayers) Bumpy Tuesday (Mamas share pictures of their growing bumps. For privacy you can choose to cut out your face) Wednesday is free for any topic/lectures Thursday thread cuties (mothers/fathers post pictures of their newborns/birthday celebrants and take them down at the end of the day) Etc
I dont know if other hospitals are like mine that are currently not having antenatal classes due to corona, but it'll help FTMs if the more experienced ones share lectures they can remember on varying topics.
Lets try and revive the thread. Please I agree to this as a FTM. I really need to learn a lot as I am not attending any antenatal class.Any input will be well appreciated. |
