Soludo na policy advocate!........that is where his competency ends o! I do no trust his administrative/management skills at all ! It is time to borrow this man some management sense before he drives us all into a ditch!
I read even upper iweka axis that Obi and Obiano managed to tame in their time has become a no go area for commutters and travellers......The green areas around the Upper iweka inter change has been allowed to turn into a jungle of overgrown weeds and refuse becoming a hiding ground for hoodlums...................No be one chance we enter so?
It is time to begin to suggest good ideas to our erudite governor and his team...........especially on environmental and town planning issues, That is what I intend to do in 2023 on this forum, we have to begin to think outta the box in the new year of 2023.............I find it silly that in this day and age , nigerians are still struggling with refuse collection and disposal, what is the way forward........?
Some of you are just jesters and playing ostrich here. You know Soludo's social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram where he is more likely to see your post than constituting nuisance here. Anambra is moving forward under Soludo
With the exception of Abuja and Lagos international airports, Anambra international airport is right now busiest in the country and operates morning and night landing
Gov Soludo isn't relenting, many projects are currently going on at Anambra International cargo airport, the two avio bridges that was awarded by former gov Willie Obiano before the end of his tenure, gov Soludo has continued where his predecessor stopped to make sure the airport is of International standard
The avio bridges are two one for departure another for arrival

Very well said. Last last I dont want to hear any Anambra governor come and tell us they are saving money ever again or cutting cost of governance. We need projects.
Thankfully Soludo is against the idea of saving money. Anambra has so far received over 1 billion extra revenue from 13% derivation courtesy of Obiano. The man really loves and meant well for the state. God bless Willie Obiano and help Soludo to continue with these high ambitions. So far I score Soludo very high on maintenance and sustenance of these projects. I am always happy seeing the ICC looking neat and beautiful each time.
Rocksvibes234: *First Anniversary of Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport*
By Paul Nwosu
The First Anniversary of Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport, Umueri is at once a cause for celebration and sober reflection. It calls for celebration that such a magnificent edifice could be built against all odds, especially as the Covid-19 pandemic raged on and successfully began flight operations on December 7, 2021. The brand new airport built under administration of the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, remarkably recorded 142 flights carrying 3,865 passengers in its first month of operation. The airport has ever since waxed quite strong by serving as a well-facilitated conduit for ferrying passengers ever since its commencement of flight activities. It especially saved the highly itinerant Anambra commerce-oriented people the trouble of having to travel to Asaba, Enugu or Owerri to catch flights to their business destinations.
The sober reflection on Anambra International Airport is that it is as yet a work in progress. The necessary hope is anchored on the multiform plans Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, has in place of turning the airport into an international showpiece for passengers and cargo haulage. Mr. Governors design of an Anambra Emporium for exports bears the imprimatur of the Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport.
Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs. Patricia Igwebuike has given the promise that regular international flights may commence at the turn of the New Year. She disclosed that discussions are ongoing with some airlines in France, Germany and the United States for the commencement of the international flight operations. In this busy Christmas season, the domestic passenger airlines, Air Peace and United Nigeria Airline, are busy flying full schedules into and out of Anambra State.
On the planned international front, initial studies have shown that from Anambra to Miami in the USA is just about eight hours of flight time. Transport Commissioner Mrs. Patricia Igwebuike said: We are engaging with the airlines to find out ways we can make it possible for airlines to carry passengers from Anambra to Miami directly.”
It is a universally known fact that commerce is the second name of Ndi-Anambra who are always open for business. Through the airport, Anambra businessmen and women are ready to build relationships and interface with their contemporaries around the world.
On the part of the government, Mrs. Igwebuike stressed: We are also looking for partners from airports around the world. We are new, and the advantage of being new is that we get to do things in line with international best practices. We are looking for investors and experts that will assist us in capacity-building. Also, we want to grow our revenue base.”
The Anambra aviation authorities are in advanced discussions with many local and international airlines, and Commissioner Igwebuike assures that “we are doing things systematically and learning from those who are already in the system. We do not believe in reinventing the wheel.” Mrs. Igwebuike further said: We have engaged with some companies in France, Munich, and now we are engaging the Maimi Dade County. We will seek a partnership or some sort of collaboration. We are going to acquire all the necessary footprints to make ourselves known.”
The grand plan is to make the Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport commercially viable. Through the Anambra Emporium, export revenue will start flowing into the state through the vast riches of exportation via the airport. Being in its first year, the airport is still in the process of growth. In due course, it will break even.
According to Commissioner Igwebuike, We have generated revenue from the airport for the government of the state. It is very promising from the way we are going and when we grow it the way we want to grow it, both the commercial arm and others, it will be self-sustaining. That is where we are going.”
The Anambra International Passenger and Cargo Airport is indeed an idea whose time has come.

Chikeluba25: Sorry my dear. It's a pity that Anambra international airport, ICC, Interchange etc are your nightmare. It's too early to cray because we are bringing more of the ego projects. Soludo will do more better; so get ready to hate him more than you hate Obiano...
I think you are right. Obiano's projects particularly the Anambra international airport, Awka international convention centre, flyovers, etc, have brought out the hidden beast and envy of these people.
These are the same people that would have been ridiculing Anambra right now had it been that Obiano wasn't brave enough to deliver on this important projects. Today, Anambra international airport is the busiest and best airport in the region. Awka international convention centre is equally the biggest and best convention facility in the region.
I so much believe that Soludo would do even more than Obiano has done. Anambra shall continue to be the light of the nation.
globemoney01: Awka Millenium city, already gearing to be the best neighborhood in SE/SS.
Beautiful. Awka Millennium city is like the Maitama and Asokoro of the region. The creme of the Igbo race have all secured their spaces there, because the city has done something differently from what we used to see even in the best precincts of Abuja and Lagos. Awka is indeed growing fast and beautiful.
Onitsha 2nd Niger bridge has placed Onitsha as a major international city, because there will be easy accessibility to the city via two major 10 lanes superhighways(1st and 2nd Niger bridges), water transportation and an international airport just 15mins to Anambra international airport.
Zssk0003: The avio bridge at the Anambra international airport is taking shape. Thanks to Anambra State Govt for the beautiful Airport to God be the glory!
With the installation of the avio bridges and other worldclass facilities at the airport, Anambra international airport has positioned itself as the aviation gateway to the region.
Pacesetterz: As an imo indigene I won’t lie that the unrest in the southeast has it’s root from imo state.u see those touts loyal to Hope uzodinma and Rochas, ihedioha? They’ve finally made imo state unsafe. Same acts they spread across borders of imo state into Anambra,Enugu. Then as for Abia,Eboyin, they already have miscreants who love trouble and most of them were recruited by MNK,Ekpa to carry on the Ipob menace that has now mixed with that of imo state to finally render the southeast unsafe. Anambra remains the cash cow of Ipob. Yes u may say Anambra are not really into this terrorism directly, but they were the money bags of what we have now. Before the unrest,go to main Market and other parts of Onitsha and see how those illiterate and semi illiterate traders were keeping up with Ipob monthly due, some from different countries like China,Indonesia,Germany,US,Arab countries etc monthly dues that culminated into billions of naira, billions of naira that culminated into the largest arm smuggles. We go hear am
