kettykings: It seems people go to Onitsha do business and relax in Asaba.
Is Onitsha helping Asaba to grow or is Asaba helping Onitsha to develop ( this doesn't seem so) Asaba is the civil service capital of a grade 1 state . Business, shops and markets will be getting supplies from Onitsha
Onitsha doesn't seem to have a night life while Asaba night life is coming up.
Onitsha has night life because of dazzling streetlights around the city. Asaba also has its own nightlife. Both cities are complementary to each other, that engenders growth in many ways. People do business and relax in Onitsha likewise as they do business and relax in Asaba. Both cities have so many similarities as they co-host the Nollywood industry.
ANSMEDIA: Beautiful neighbourhood. Onitsha is a well planned city. There are many luxury neighbourhoods coming up around 3-3, GRA PHASE 2, Nkwelle, etc. The ongoing Onitsha luxury estate at Nkwelle GRA will form the Banana island of the east. There's equally Soul city ongoing at 2nd Niger Bridge axis. Awka Millennium city stands out as the best precinct in igboland. Generally Anambra is moving forward

It is indeed the Lord's day and we must first thank God almighty for his mercy. Indeed, "many are the afflictions of the Righteous, but the Lord delivereth him from them all".
Executive Of Niger Delta Youth Association Anambra Chapter Inaugurated In Awka
A University lecturer, Prof. Anthony Okoye, from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, says the quest to develop the Nigerian economy from crude oil proceeds has not achieved the desired results due to several challenges plaguing the oil sector.
Prof. Okoye disclosed this at the inauguration of the executive members of the Niger Delta Youth Association, Anambra state chapter held in Awka.
According to Prof. Okoye who is a Professor of environmental management and pollution control, since the discovery of crude oil in Nigeria, the country is still hindered by financial and economic challenges due to the mismanagement of crude oil proceeds accruing to the country.
The University don maintained that the wheel of development of any society lies on the shoulder of how productive and creative the youthful populations are, and made it clear that when youths organize themselves properly, they can insist on periodic environmental auditing to ensure that investors have serious commitment to ecologically sound and sustainable development of the host communities.
The National Vice President, Niger Delta Youth Association of Nigeria Worldwide, Comrade Ibiso Harry said that Anambra state was included in the association because of the oil producing status granted to the state by the federal government and commended Governor Willie Obiano for achieving the feat.
Earlier, the Anambra state chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comrade Samuel Egwuatu urged the youths to always engage in civil and intellectual discussions in the pursuit of their rights, rather than war.
The Anambra state chairman, Niger Delta Youth Association, Comrade Alex Ossaka assured that they will ensure that the interests of the oil producing Communities in the State are protected at all times
ChimaAdeoye: I am so proud of what Obiano has done in this airport! The man insists on QUALITY which makes him stand out from any average Southeast governor or even Nigerian governors.
Part of my pain with Nigerian projects were the stubborn desire to make every project in the 3rd world standard! Even while other countries in Asia and around the world modernize, we were all stuck in the 1930s - 1940s standard of airports, road design, public buildings, train coaches, railroads, etc.
It is very refreshing to see a governor that takes the pain to do things right. The insistence on installing the runway center lights to guarantee easy identification and safe landing at night as is obtainable abroad makes Obiano a true hero!
I am glad, they have decided to open the airport for public use this month. As they do the little finishing touches.
Congratulations to Anambra state! Congratulations to Southeast Nigeria! Congratulations to Nigeria for a brand new TRULY INTERNATIONAL-STANDARD airport in the country.
Anambra has done well with the international airport that can serve the international travels of the Igbos.
Why do you post videos pirated from already existing original videos here?
I wasted my data thinking this was an original video where the person had different angles and new things to add. Only to realize that it was one of those lazy YouTubers who specialized in posting other people's video content instead of working hard to create their own original content. They only add a new thumbnail to make you think it's a different video from the original.
ANSMEDIA: Glass cladding are being mounted at the largest and most beautiful international conference centre east of the Niger, also the escalators are in place. God continue to bless Anambra
They are truly set out to deliver a worldclass facility.
Rocksvibes234: I don't think so because According to Obiano and Allen Onyema they said the Anambra Airport has been lisenced and approved for both International and local cargo and passenger airport, and it's the only airport in Nigeria that received the fastest approval.
Watchout the video of eastern biggest industrial estate on TV tomorrow.
This is quite a massive well planned industrial zone
gordonbarrett: My brother we are shooting at the same post. What we desire is an international airport, to match our status as the most traveled people in Nigeria. What Obiano has done is nothing but legendary. He deserves the big portrait at the airport. All that we seek to see at the airport will happen at the fullest of time.
Cjrane2: There is more than enough space in the arrival section of the airport to build a customs & Immigration booth. In the picture, I don't know if those are toilets. But customs and Immigration booths can be built along the wall so that when international passengers collect their luggage from the carousel, they will clear customs and immigration and be out of the airport.
Fesotech: No... This the old fire truck. It was refurbished just to use it and commission the airport first while waiting for the new super trucks from Germany
ChimaAdeoye: Final finishing touches in preparation for the opening of the airport for public use later this month. The installation of passenger chairs in the departure hall is complete.
The two luggage carousels are being finalized and beautification of the arrival & departure halls with artwork on the walls are also being completed.
The seats are fitted with charging pots for phones and gadgets. Obiano don't want to cut corners on this project. Everything is international best practices.
OreMI22: The only reason i stopped contributing financially to IPOB in USA is their quick desire to punish fellow oppressed Igbos by burning or destroying their businesses at the slightest excuse while ignoring and running away from the real Fulani oppressors.
Its unforgivable when IPOB destroy any Igbo person's livelihood for any reason whatsoever. The suffering they cause these poor families does not even bother them. How do you happily destroy the business of a widow with 6 kids frying akara for a living? Who will feed those kids or how do they pay school fees? The total lack of empathy on these vulnerable people is shocking. If you are a child in such poor families and your hunger and deprivation is worsened by other youths how would you view justice in such society? God and karma will punish my own family if my own money contributes in funding anyone contributing to the misery of the poor families struggling to find their daily bread.
These are the same people that you are supposed to be protecting and defending instead of destroying. The only reason I financially supported them is to defend the rights of these poor oppressed people. To see that IPOB's sole strategy now is to harrass and punish these poor people instead of going after their oppressors made it morally impossible for me to continue contributing to them.
OreMI22: The former COAS Gen Burutai joined Obiano in the weekly inspection of the airport project today.
The state government plans to commission the airport for public use this month. After they get some fire trucks currently being fixed to be functional.
The new fire trucks ordered from Germany will arrive later in the year or early next year.
ChimaAdeoye: One hopes they will get the fire trucks required in the interim to get the airport operational to commercial flights before the end of the month. While the new ones expected from Germany can arrive later in the year. This airport needs to become operational right now under Obiano, else it could suffer the same fate as the Enugu Internatioanl conference center which was 90% completed under Gov. Chimaroke, but Gov. Chime and Ugwuanyi decided to abandon the project all the same. The best way to ensure a legacy is to see to it that it became operational under the governor that built it. Else subsequent people could be funny the way they abandon projects by their predecessors and start their own brand new projects while other nearly completed projects are allowed to be over grown by weed.
Every time Engr. Ifejiofor talks about creating a wall to separate the two avio-bridges so that one is used for arrivals only and one is used for departures only to block off arriving and departing passengers from coming in contact, i wonder why? To begin with, before you get on an airplane you must clear security. Just like before you are allowed to sit in the departure lounge, you must clear security. Therefore, anyone coming down from an airplane or anyone sitting in the departure lounge/hall of an airport has already been searched and cleared security. Thus, in airports worldwide, those coming down from an airplane and those sitting in the departure lounge are in the "SAFE" or secured area of the airport. Meaning people in an area where only those who have cleared security searches are allowed.
The second point that makes the idea of dedicating one avio bridge strictly for arrival and another strictly for departure is that an airplane coming in from Lagos to Umueri is deemed an arriving airplane. Once its Lagos passengers disembark and the passengers flying from Umueri to Lagos begin to board the same plane, it automatically becomes a departing plane! This can sometimes occur within a space of 30 minutes! Therefore, if you dedicate one avio-bridge for arrival and another strictly for departure, you will have to push out an arriving plane from the "arrival avio-bridge" to a "departure avio-bridge" every few minutes for the departing passengers to board. This is an unnecessary chaotic process. Which is NEVER done in any airport in the world. Even airports with hundreds of push-back trucks (Like those in the picture below) are not able to implement such a chaotic process of moving around airplanes on the tarmac from an arrival avio-bridge to a departure avio-bridge every few minutes! Talk more an airport in Nigeria without adequate number of push-back trucks to move airplanes around the tarmac (Apron) every few minutes!
I hope the wall the Commissioner is building to separate arriving and departing passengers at least has a DOOR that will allow departing passengers to board the plane once it has totally disembarked all arriving passengers. I don't know where the strange advice of building a wall came from, but it is definitely not an international best practice and it is totally destined to fail at Anambra International airport because it will entail the moving of arrival planes to the departure avio-bridge every few minutes which will be chaotic and A LOT of accidents will occur during the unnecessary movement of planes from one avio-bridge to the next.
ChimaAdeoye: Looks like they bought another off-the-shelf truck from the manufacturer to use in commissioning of the airport. While they await the custom-built 3 trucks for Anambra International airport. Which is a Zeigler Z6
