The United States Consul-General to Nigeria, Mr John Bray has rated Stanel Group ultra modern mega centre (Stanel World) high, saying, it has presented Anambra State a shining example of a high speed developing state in Nigeria.

US Consul General, John Bray with Chairman, Stanel World, Stanley Uzochukwu and a guest Mr Bray was speaking during a dinner party organized in his honour by the Chairman, Stanel Group, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu at the Stanel World during a one-day consultative visit to Anambra state to monitor preparations and to kick-start the US reconnaissance ahead of the November 18th governorship election in the State.

Stanel Luxury Mega Centre (Stanel World) in Awka is one of the investments attracted to the state by the Gov Obiano led-administration and it has been described since its official take off as the first luxury centre of its kind in the entire Eastern region Bray impressively noted that the state of the art facility he had seen and enjoyed in the Stanel World, could be compared to what are obtainable in developed cities of the world while one of his team member said they were, indeed, in America at Stanel World.

He, however, urged the government of Anambra State to do more in the area of providing more incentives that will encourage both international and local investors to seek business opportunities in the state. Also speaking, the Political and Economic Section Chief of the United States Consular Office in Nigeria, Mr Osman Tat said the integrated Stanel facility attracted by the present administration was a good example of public private partnership and a model that should be replicated across the country.

In his remark, Chairman of Stanel Goup, Mr Stanley Uzochukwu who hosted the Consul General and his team in a dinner party emphasized that a major motivation for him to bring his wealth into the state was the conducive business environment put in place by Governor Obiano. Uzochukwu assured that the management of Stanel Group will ensure that the facility is extended to other major cities in the state as soon as possible. One of the highlights of the dinner party was cultural display by a cultural troupe from the state where Bray and other guests in attendance were greatly entertained.

Governor Willie Obiano has inaugurated the new Digital Radio and Television studios of the Anambra Broadcasting Service.
The studio complex was conceived and executed by his administration in compliance with the latest technological trend in modern broadcasting.

Inaugurating the facility, Governor Obiano recalled his ugly experience in the old studios of the outfit during his electioneering in 2013 which prompted him to promise to deliver an ultramodern studio facility to Establishment.

The Governor, who noted that his administration spent over one point eight billion naira on the project, revealed that in his belief in quality, he had ensured that every equipment in the studio was purchased brand new.

The Commissioner for Information and Communication's strategy, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta who pointed out that the Governor in his human nature, is carefully addressing the age-long challenges of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ranging from poor infrastructure to workers welfare, said in the next phase, the State government will look into the State -owned Newspaper outfit and the Printing Press.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Nnaemeka Mmaduegbuna said with the facility, the establishment is poised to becoming the first station in the Southeast to attain digital status.

The Managing Director of the contracting firm, that handled the project, Mr Hassan Fawaz while noting that what they delivered was a state of the art facility, thanked the state government for its efforts that made the project a reality.

The Chairman of the Governor's re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh said testimonies abound everywhere on legacy projects of the Obiano administration.

In a vote of thanks, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Mr Uche Nworah, thanked Governor Obiano for his commitment to turning around the fortunes of the ABS and assured that he will drive the station’s workforce towards achieving results for the government, the State and its people.

Tour of the facility by the Governor as well as presentation of souvenir to the Governor by the ABS family, formed the highpoints of the event.

True situation: Abuja High Court Declined to Stop Obiano

The members of the public are urged to disregard the wicked and spurious allegations making round and peddled by one Eneh Victor Chigozie that the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted an order restraining the gubernatorial candidate of APGA, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano from parading himself as the authentic candidate of APGA for the forthcoming gubernatorial polls in Anambra state. Indeed, one impostor Martin Agbaso had approached the Federal High Court, Abuja vide an originating summons for some frivolous reliefs. The said Martin Agbaso further filed an exparte application for interim injunction.

However, the Federal High Court Abuja while delivering its ruling on the said application on Friday, 27/10/2017 expressly declined the prayers for interim injunction against the respondents (INEC and Chief Willie Obiano). The court however granted the prayers of the applicants for accelerated hearing and substituted service on the respondents hence the publication in Sun Newspapers of today 30/10/2017.
By the said ruling of the Honourable court, Chief Willie Obiano remains the duly nominated and authentic candidate of APGA for the forthcoming gubernatorial polls in Anambra state. Ndi Anambra and the generality of APGA faithfuls are urged to disregard the antics of the drowning opposition in Anambra who are bent on derailing the wheel of progess so far recorded by the incumbent APGA led government in Anambra state. Indeed, victory is certain and imminent.

Governor Willie Obiano's re-election bid yesterday registered a major boost with the defection of a sitting member representing Orumba North
and South Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives,Chief Ben Nwankwo, to APGA.

The former PDP Federal Lawmaker decamped to APGA during the inauguration of Governor Obiano's re-election campaigns in Orumba South Council Area, held at St Augustine's Primary school field, Umunze.

The arena was filled with APGA supporters and support groups in the area notable of which is Njiko Orumba, a strong coalition of all political groups in the Orumba region, as well as thousands of supporters of the former PDP heavyweight, Chief Nwankwo.

Also present at the event were former Governor, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former APGA governorship candidate in Abia, Dr Alex Otti, former Health Minister, Dr Tim Menakaya, former Deputy-Governor Emeka Sibeudu, former House of Representatives members, Dr Okey Udeh among many others.

Governor Obiano's entrance to the venue was greeted with thunderous applause from the mammoth crowd that turned out to receive him.

Speaking at the event, Governor Obiano said the defection marks a milestone in the politics of the region, adding that it gives credence to the fact that Ndi Anambra across various political parties are embracing APGA as the only option for the people's emancipation.

He spoke of the investments attracted by his administration, five of which situates in the Orumba area, through which he said his government aims to create a lot of job opportunities for youths in the area.

The Chairman of the Governor's Re-election Campaign Committee, Chief Victor Umeh urged Ndi Anambra who participated in the recent Continuous Voter Registration exercise to endeavor to collect their permanent voters cards to be able to vote in the upcoming election.

Former Governor, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife in his remarks, said with respect to what is happening in the country presently, Ndigbo need a party that they can call their own and APGA represents such identity.

A former APGA governorship candidate in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti noted that Ndi Anambra are lucky to have a Governor with ideas and vision and urged the people not to be deceived by the antics of those who do not have the interest of the people at heart.

Speaking before declaring for APGA, the Federal lawmaker, Chief Nwankwo said he has seen how Governor Obiano is developing various sectors of the State through his investment promotion programmes as well as his other achievements, and decided to join APGA to add value to the ongoing transformation in the state.
