hello dear, you dont need to write to the uk embassy, I travelled with my 18 months old son to the uk for christmas holiday, all we did was to get him a nigerian passport and thats all. when entering the uk he uses his american passport and when coming back to nigeria he uses his nigerian passport. hope this info helps.

Hi Amiableada

First thing is please try not to get worried especially with your current stage of pregnancy.

Second thing is just as Nita said; some hosts (assuming the host caused this issue) might have done oversabi while trying to get more information and not necessarily with the intention to hurt you.

Thirdly, can you ask them to change the venue of your interview to Abuja as you might not be able to fly to Lagos due to your present health condition (most domestic airlines are horrendous about fit-to-fly policies for pregnant women) or just reschedule to a more convenient time.

Forthly - try to attend the interview and present evidence that you were not pregnant when the visa was issued, you saw on their website that it is not a crime to have your baby in Canada (the link is somewhere in this thread) and most importantly - your financial statements showing evidence that you have the capacity to pay for your treatment.

please go with an open mind, i hope you get your visa re-instated but above all...May GOD'S will be done for you and your baby.Amen

=Amiableada post=53952267]good day everyone... i have been following this thread for a while now. thanks to hotstepper and every other person that contributes and all.God bless.I need opinions please.
thank you so much dear. i sent them a mail telling them i cant make it to lagos especially now. they replied that they will let me know when i will come for the interview.hoping for the best and Amen to your prayers

Wow..... its obvious something went wrong somewhere. But even if it was ur host that informed them, just ignore. I kno its not easy but try and calm down. Go for d interview and hear what they av to say. If u r pardoned God be praised and if not accept it like that and av ur baby in naija.

One thing i realise about many Nigerians abroad is that we over here av more info than them. But some will ask further for more explanation while some will do oversabi and end up causing problem for d person. Some font believe one can actually apply for visa and declare purpose as childbirth while some will say hide the pregnancy to enter because they think if one declares, its automatic deportation etc

I pray all will be well and let Gods will be done. Cheers
thank you so much and Amen!!!

as if 2 yrw or 3 yrs now, canada gives u visa vaild for the no of yrs ur passport os valid
they gave me till a day before the expiration of my passport. they even told me that they wont give me more than the expiration of my passport. it was a visiting visa.

Hotstepper:
ur story is not adding up either.

how come you didny know ur visa has expired?
If you visa was still valid, why did they invite u for another interview

i personally dont think the lady has anything to gain, afterall she would still refuse u staying in her house
please i didnt state that my visa has expired. i was issued a visa april 2016 to expire 2020 which was my very first canadian visa . so i dont know where the talk of expired visa came out from now. the visa was revoked dec 28th 2016 after they had invited me to come for an interview on the 20th dec which i didnt see.they sent it to my profile but i didnt see it. i have all the details of the mails they sent and can post them here. i think they called me for the interview after they were informed i wanted to use the visa for somethin else probably they wanted to confirm the 'tip off' . and again whybwould they issue a visa, and call me back to come for an interview when i havent even used the visa for once?

good day everyone... i have been following this thread for a while now. thanks to hotstepper and every other person that contributes and all.God bless.I need opinions please. i got my canadian visa approved last year april, was planning on going during summer but couldnt cos of ticket fares so i decided to do it around feb or march this year as advised by my friend that works with BA that fares would have gone down a bit.Anyway the gist now is that i found out i was pregnant for my 4th after 9 weeks around september and now decided to use the visa for birthing purposes so i had to join this thread. i got a doctor through my host at calgary, discussed with him(nigerian doc). so i was good to go.alreday Dh and i had contacted a friend's elder sister who accepted to accomodate me since i was coming alone and she gave us the doc's contact. i left naija jan 21st through BA, arrived london to now check in to calgary and i was informed my visa has been revoked by canadian govt.I didnt believe it. so i went to my profile and saw they sent a mail asking me to come for an interview on the 20th of dec and was given only one week to appear but honestly i didnt see it and that same period i was in uk with my family on christmas vacation. I contacted them and they said i misrepresented during my visa application. my friend's fiance that lives in canada was of the opinion that someone must have contacted them that i wanted to use the visa for birthing purposes. now no one knew i was travelling to canada, not even my siblings or hubbys people.the only person that knew was the lady i was to stay with,my kids, my hubby and myself! when we called her to ask her if she contacted the authorites her answers were not adding up and she started avoiding us. now i wrote to canadian embassy asking why they revoked my visa, they have asked me to come for another interview in lag. i am heavy, i stay at abuja and havent decided yet.thats my story oh and i have learnt
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Amiableada(f):
good day house. please Dh and i are a bit confused and will need opinions on what to do. i renewed my b1/b2 isa via drip box and was emailed to pick up my passport and schedule an appointment for an interview. i filled the forms and all through an agent, only for me to contact him on the infos he filled out and he said he put NY as POE whereas i am going to ATl, he also put that i am staying for 2 weeks and going for vacation.on finding out i was mad at him because i specifically told him to let me know if he needs any answers. now my interview is next week, i have my dr's correspondence from atl and all. we r confused as to what to do.

Babatwi:
This in particular did not happen to me,but i have read of several people it happened to on this forum. Was your 2015 visa a medical visa, did you tell them during the interview that it was for child birth? If no, did you use it for the purpose for which it was issued before using it for child birth? If you are going to the US to give birth again just prepare as if you are going for normal fresh medical visa interview i.e. with Dr & hospital correspondent, budget sheet, bank statement etc and most importantly go with your receipts of 2015 .
And if you are going for just a visit,go with the normal things that accompany a b1/b2 visa interview eg bank statement, letter of invitation etc and again go with your 2015 receipt,it's importance cannot be over emphasised.
just be prepared ,it will end in praise.
thank you so much for your reply. during my interview in the vo asked if i will like seek medical attention at any point in the us and i said yes, we went on a family vacation and then i later used it in 2015 for child birth i have all my reciepts of payment. i am heavy now and will be letting them know during the interview that i am going for the sole purpose of having my baby.i pray it will end in praise and i will come and testify.

Just to encourage anyone who needs this right nw and in the spirit of giving back. i read through from part 1 to part 5 of this thread although i had obtained a visiting visa, travelled, decided to have my baby and then returned before i got to know of the thread.

fast forward 4yrs later wanted to go deliver my 2nd baby n i decided to do it right from the beginning by applying for a b2 visa with all i heard learnt frm here(budget sheet, dr and hospital correspondence e.t.c)

i applied via dropbox and got called for an interview. to cut the long story i was denied 3times(back to back) tried to apply for a canadian visa and was denied twice(total denial of 5 times in 3 months)

Decided to try one more time and i got my US visa approved the 4TH TIME.

well thats my story. thought i should share(not so good at writing however questions are welcome)
wow! did you end up having your baby there? i am almost giving up cos i thot if i do the drop box i wil just be issued a visa. wasnt expecting this atall. had my son there and paid all my bills with receipts. now going to face those white heads with my big tummy. i am worried.

Hi, everyone. I have interview tomorrow morning for my visa renewal and I'll like to know if there is any new info I need to have at hand. I know this request is quite late but any useful info would be highly appreciated.
My background story is that during my last interview I told the VO that I was going for vacation but I later got a change of intent letter cas I decided to go for birthing. After two months, I went back to the embassy to get visa for my then 2 yr old son and that was when I told the VO that I was travelling to give birth and that I would like to go with my son since he was too young for me to leave behind.
Recently I applied for renewal through Dropbox but I was asked to come for a face to face interview tomorrow morning.
Please is there any new information I need to know cas I've been out of touch from this thread? I don't want to be taken by unpleasant surprise.
Thank you.
please sorry to bother you. how long did your drop box appication stay before they called you for an interview? i am asking because i submitted my application over two weeks ago and i am yet to hear from them
