cc150615: #latepost So amicable09 dearie, when I read your last diary update, I couldn't help but feel like I'm Oprah Winfrey or some celebrity....anyways it's ws nice hanging out, now can we discard the fairy godmother cliché so I'd stop feeling like I'm 69 years old.....you get right? Nd yeah we'll do that again and many more.
And all the accompanying convoy Lol. I really wish you were 69 already. The way you rush in to help and the passion with which you seek to see others succeed makes me call you that. But of course you are cc We'll see when next I come into your town or in case you visit us before I come over. |

I was never abreast with this contest and didn't familiarize myself with the names of all the contestants. I remember I saw a beauty in low-cut. My bad. Mysticgal, you are truly beautiful! I celebrate how far you came in the pageantry. You are a queen! I am in love with your hairstyle. Befitting for bold ladies like you and I . Congratulations to you too! |

Congratulations Lanicky I'm glad you have the crown on your head now ... we can rotate how we wear it sha, just you and I . I'm really proud of your strength. I've been moving around looking for the best place to post my congratulatory message but every single place has been littered with green eyed folks who are unable to hide their envy. Look beyond them hon, low lifers are known for dragging others down. They can kiss the dust to show their dissatisfaction. If e pain them too much, stainless crown dey market, they should buy one and crown their 'beauty'. Enjoy yourself with the crown. It is yours and you deserve it! Congratulations Ivyy, Mimzy, Mysticgal and Refiner. You are all beauty queens . Stay beautiful! |

ivyy: Lol, no lie Amicable. You have a diary, I have read it a couple of times and impressed by how well you write. My mistake though is me not acknowledging your literary skills until today, truth is, I have not really had the opportunity to discuss with you anywhere on the forum until today.
Lmao about the beating the drum. Unlike my counterparts here, I'm not a good drummer, neither do I have a flair for sweet talking people, except the need suddenly arise. one thing I have going for me is my jovialty and my honesty. It is one thing I see you and I have in common. Lol. Ehen! @ your last line! Now you want to speak my language . Come on girl! That's the way to go! Seriously babe, I have heard time and time again that you are one of us, but I've never seen you here. You do a thread on depression and you didn't even bring it here where thousands are depressed and frustrated. Ivyy, we need your counsel more here than any other section does. This is home. Come home honey, come home. *I feel like crying in this part of this movie* |

MondeLuv: Lolz, it will all be in the open, so you can come drop your vote and run away.
Trust me, after tomorrow you won't hear from most of the peeps who you feel will scorn you if you don't vote for them. This time, we actually have a Queen who wants to make proper use of that crown. Lolz. The thing is I cannot run away. People will track me down I think I've done my best to enlighten joblanders and create some kind of excitement about tomorrow in their hearts and I'm positive they will be out to give full support. I acted like a moderator tonight seeing that most guys here are less concerned about the fashion off this section or anything else outside Vacancies. My unalloyed support/vote goes to all the contestants. If it were permissible, I would have loved to do that tomorrow. However, this awareness tonight is key Watch out for us . |

MondeLuv: Just 1 person dearie. Just 1 person. And when you vote, vote someone you will end up seeing her impact and you'll be proud.
I found this somewhere, lemmie show you:
Sorry for disturbing your mention dear, I'm here to solicit for your support for my friend MIMZY for the Miss NL Crown. Lots of people have been of the opinion that a revered title such as that of Miss Nairaland is "useless" as the Crown Holder goes into hiding immediately after winning - thus rendering that title dormant. This isn't entirely false going by recent and past tendencies of the winners but that's about to change for the better! MIMZY is woman who has thought extensively about how to make an impact with that title and leave a legacy for other Crown Holders to follow. Even though the constraints of the cyber-world isn't helping issues, she has come up with life changing projects (Which includes re-branding of the E-helpers network), online Therapy aids amongst others. These are achievable projects and NOT pipe dreams, they are very realistic! She can achieve these feats with the significance that comes with that title. Miss Nairaland this year is NOT about winning money or for bragging rights. Its about starting a culture and leaving a legacy for subsequent winners to know that that title isn't "Useless" like most term it to be. SUPPORT MIMZY, Vote Her As Miss Nairaland during the finals tomorrow!
Voting Starts At 10am prompt tomorrow.
How to vote: simply type "I VOTE MIMZY cc: NLJega" and that's all!
Let's Make Nairaland GREAT, let's set the pace for others to follow. Be a part of making history today! Vote MIMZY! Boy oh boy! This speech is one in town! Sounds like something Martin Luther King wrote with his feather pen . Mehn! I am dazed! How will tomorrow be? Ogadikwa kpoi kpoi .. lol Please monde dear, is it going to be open or secret ballot? Let me know if I'll be one of the people who will volunteer to rig the election |

I love this year's competiton though.. A lot of curves, b**bs and et al.. Hehe.. Lol. I don't know that ability! Yea, this year's competition is the first for me meeting with the contestants on a very close range. I must say, they all have what it takes! |

ivyy: Lol, I would gladly accept the post. I'm particularly keen on levelling every mountain of unemployment bedevilling every joblander this year. Operation Everybody must get a job activated!
Truth be told, I understand how it feels to look for job for a long time without getting one after graduating. I hope and pray we all get our desired jobs before this year runs out God's grace.
By the way, I have been a silent follower of your diary. I think I remember stumbling upon it this year after one of my nairaland friends shared one of your posts on your diary. I was really wowed. Lol. Ivyy na lie! Ivyy I no gree! Why do you want to be nairalanderlistic! Why mention a diary I don't have! Why spy on me! MondeLuv: You didn't include mimzy? Oh sweetheart, forgive me. That was an oversight. I haven't checked the list of those who made it to the top 4 or 5, I just remembered two of the contestants. I remember Mimzy now But she intimidates me with her behind If I invite her here, Davide470 will hijack her So, I'm trying to be safe unless she promises to come with her face only, then I'm in! |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Jobs/vacancies Section Chatroom by amicable09(f): 10:37pm On Jun 24, 2016 |
lanicky: Thanks ma'am
First of all, I'd say I'm not contesting in this beauty pageant for the money. If I were, I wouldn't have contested before when there was no prize money attached. I competed in Miss Nairaland 2014 and even though I didn't win, at the end of the competition, I felt more confident, because it felt like I was being celebrated for being myself.
That's why I decided to enter Miss Nairaland 2016, the cash prize notwithstanding, if I win I think it will be a chance to help change the face of beauty pageants, since girls that look like me full-figured and natural aren't often represented. Just contesting in this year's edition brought me a lot of scorn from some nairaland users. Most people think I'm of average looks probably because I don't use make-up or fix Brazillian they say I'm not worthy to be crowned but I believe winning will be a small way to change the way people, especially on nairaland, see beauty. Lanicky! Lanicky! Lanicky! Mmmh.... I think NL error is now awake, they are keeping tabs on my night parole with you I love your naturalness sha. If you win now, my mingled boo will stop allowing me to apply powder *frowns*. But you will boost a lot of Morales sha, those of us who need to learn what it means to be rejected, will come to you for inspiration. Those of us who are finding it hard to come to terms to falling and failing, will take one look at you and draw strength for another wild chase. I wish you success tomorrow. I will be presently present to hear the verdict P.S. To finally sweeten my belle tonight, I need you to upload one picture of yourself sweeping your compound or carrying firewood . I want to be sure Lanicky is purely Nigerian |

I'm fine, thank you.. Sorry about your health, hope you feel better now?
No body, like I said before I've had my eyes on you. Lol. Can your eyes really keep track of my walkabout on NL? OK. You have come to sweep me off my feet again tonight abi? Let me ask you one quick question before I finally voice out publicly my unalloyed support to my choice contestant! Why are you interested in this e-crown? What is Lanicky's motive for wanting the crown and the money? For us here in JV section, we would have preferred if Seun came up with an essay contest or debate of some sort with a grand prize of 50k to the winner rather than have us vote for people we know are already beautiful, with or without our votes, Lanicky is still beautiful without makeup. So why should we happily support you tomorrow? P.S. Take your time to answer this question. Your response will either earn you our love or give you our bad eye . Trust us here, we are not smiling in money matters. |
