Only a fool of a man will allow his wife to keep all her income while he slavishly foots all the bills in the house. The ideal situation is that the man will pay more bills and do less house work while the wife will pay some bills and do more housework. Shikena. Any woman that wants to keep all her work money and not contribute financially to the upkeep of the house is a selfish Arrow that deserves to live in a cave with her neanderthal husband slapping her around,

this is exactly my ideal contribution balance 30/70 ,20/80,10/90  and the highest percentage to the man that dont do house chores cheesy wink grin

You know if I had the time, I'd draw up an opinion pool here and we can stop guessing!

We all know that men will always see house chores as helping out their wives. I don't know why we shouldn't be allowed to see financial contribution as helping you guys out! undecided

Gbam well said. they better do 50-50 daily with house chores instead of just helping us out else we will continue to also help them out financially whenever we feel like as working wives wink

Yeah dats a nice/acceptable sharing formula
70/30 or 65/35
u cud even do 80/20 depending on the number of kids but that talk is for another day

grin grin grin now im glad we are finally agreeing on the formular  wink im happy to hear that im not doing bad at al tongue tongue tongue, when we add another addition to the family i will reduce it 80/20  wink since i am 95%  of the time taking care of house chores, doctors visits ,school activities etc

Well fortunately i can and even have enough to marry more than one if dats what's in fashion  cheesy cheesy cheesy but i chose not to act as a bank for a lady that doesn't want to contribute.

Why won't some Nigerian men disrespect their wives when it's highly expected of them to be the Man in Charge and sole provider of the relationship.

It's the 21st century and women are as powerful as us men so y'all should hold ya own in relationships.

but see am nao is 30% on my side of contribution bad deal ? considering that oga make double and hardly home so i cater for the baby ,house chores and still work ?

jennykadry:

Dayo I have told you to use that your 50-50 on feminists. I am not for 50-50. I grew up in a family where my dad catered for everybody's needs. I need a man and not some dude that reckons my money is enough to pay off a mortgage. I work, I get paid, I show you my paycheck, do not expect me to give you out of ''duty'' I give when I want to and not because I have to.

When I wanna eat out I pinch 30 dolars from his wallet for lunch meal. If I want something and I know he can afford without shaking I lay my demand. Infact CC has actually made me want a new car myself now and I am definitely not spending a dime on it, ok well I can pay for the insurance or registration when it expires cool

If you love me and wanna marry me then you better take care of me. My body is not good for sex alone neither is it only a baby making machine, my skin needs to me nourished daily with good tidings. You phock me, I phock you well(diff styles)to provide for me cool grin cheesy

i think we both have the same view in marriage, as its important to me that my hubby can fullfill my basic needs even if i decide not to work and not having to struggle on those important basic needs of a woman, kids n home.

I work not cos i have to but cos i want to,30-70 is the best balance 30% for the woman and 70% for the man . grin

Simply tell us you prefer to stay at home and monitor the daily activities of Genevieve and Ramsey Noah on Africa Magic.

I wonder why someone who bother to get an education, pay to get a Bachelors would now want to sit at home

You could have used the money you spent getting an education for something better

i dey work oo wink  infact i work and still take care of our new born and house chores ,i have been a house wife before and dont want to repeat that again but im just curious what men think about working wife and house wife. wink

I hate staying at home and doing nothing. Even on my days off sef na war to just sit at home  undecided And like I said before, the fact that I am working should not even make a man to begin to think that he can ''take'' from my account whenever he likes. My money is mine. So you better work hard and provide for me.

u don kill me with laugh grin cos im almost like u though smiley my hubby takes care of all bills but i take care of my basic needs but still see my money as ours not just mine even though i hardly spend it.

my hubby always tells me that he want me to be independent but still dependent of him grin and i think thats so sweet. wink

dady2011:

It depends. If she decides to stay home full time and look after the children, her work is as important (if not more important in raising and influencing the children positively) than the man that work and hardly stay home to spend quality time with the children.

However, unless the man is extremely wealthy/rich materially and can provide a solid financial security, I think it is ok for a woman to also work (if she want to and best if the job is less demanding) to keep her professional skills and trainning current, gain some level of financial security/independence and provide a financial fall back support for her family if anything happens to her husband.

abeg tell them, infact teach them , u will make a good husband and father if your a man or vice versa if your a woman as some people dont reason this way grin

I'm all for a working wife tongue
I just can't see how i'm gonna be able to respect a full housewife

What do u mean not respecting a full housewife? what if she is taking care of your kids and home full time ,doesnt that earn her respect to u? cos its not easy taking care of kids and house chores plus school n doctors visits.

those of you men that want working wives should be ready to share the house chores, school activities, doctors visits 50-50 or i am wrong women ?
Family / Re: Married Men ,how Many Of You Would Want A Working Wife ? by Amiga4u(f): 1:07pm On Apr 20, 2011
Mmmm very interesting its obvious the new generation men are all wanting a working wives ,that means house wives will be reduced in africa soon wink
This helps me stand even more firm about my independence grin but i am yet to see any men here who prefer a house wife or women that prefer being a house wife.

Family / Married Men ,how Many Of You Would Want A Working Wife ? by Amiga4u(f): 3:13pm On Apr 19, 2011
I will really want to know how many married men here would want their wife to work or start a business for her to become independent and not a liabilty? and will her independence increase ur love and respect for her and well as make ur marriage stronger?

Because i see so many men complain here this days about house wifes and liabilty.

Please men pour out ur heart here as this will help some of our women get some kind of independence and in the long run improve there marriage.
If really this is what most modern days married men prefer.

Thank you all.

Long distance relationship is hard to keep especially when one go through pregrancy ,baby, studies and responsibilty only.

And after getting her masters im sure she will want to get a better paying job there plus education for ur kid.
