Okay, so Tinubu has not lost a single voter in Northern Kaduna but he has gained all of Southern Kaduna votes? If he has lost votes, who did he lose it to? Politics is a zero-sum game. I just told you Northern Kaduna had to split their votes into 3 to accommodate Tinubu, yet he got his third highest votes from Kaduna and came second in the state but still claimed that they worked against him. All the PDP governors will defect to claim the APC structure in their states and run unopposed as promised them by Tinubu. Changes nothing as the electorates will eventually decide. The governors can still win and fail to deliver Tinubu. It happened in Lagos and several states elsewhere. It is APC who will now battle with the disaffection and discontent that these defections will cause. Why didn't Tinubu insist that Adeleke be allowed to defect? Why did he maintain APC party structure in Osun in the grip of his cousin, Oyetola. In contrast, he sacked Barth Nnaji and even Ganduje when they equally resisted these defections in their states. Isn't what is good for the geese also good for the gander?

No one believed Ola of Lagos owned the cars in his car stand and Ola of Lagos neither claimed to do so. He only said he was the owner of a car dealership stand. What's wrong with that? No car dealer owns all the cars in their stand.

Isn't it ironic that Tinubu prevented crisis in his home state by leaving the APC structure in the firm grip of his cousin, Oyetola but is actively handing over the party structure to strangers in other opposition states, thereby jeopardising political ambitions of other APC politicians in those states? An implosion or covert sabotage is inevitable. I expect every PDP governor to leave the party to take advantage of the "unopposed" largesse that Tinubu is sharing for his own sole benefit.

For me I remember when Reno was attacking PMB and even protesting against Tinubu, all the hoebidients then use to tell us that he is a man of truth but as soon as he turned his back against their oga, that was when they now recognised that he tells lies, something we have always been telling them.

Reno is a net negative to Tinubu. He just caused an international embarrassment to Ribadu and ultimately to the president for a propaganda gig gone wrong. That's what happens when you discard appointing proper diplomats as ambassadors and will rather rely on hungry scammers and paid-for-hires to burnish your image and do damage control.

Yes. Tell Tinubu to conduct a free and fair election and the theory that the governors and defectors have one vote each will be proved. We are already seeing Okpebholo "forcefully" telling his own Kitchen cabinet to wear the Jagaban cap or get sacked. They obviously still don't key into the vision. You can't buy love neither can you copy respect. Tinubu remains unpopular. The governors can still win their elections under APC but fail to deliver Tinubu. We saw that happen in several APC states including Lagos in 2023. Destroying all opposition parties in order to run unopposed is not how one can emerge a president in a country like Nigeria.

You can keep burying your head in the sand but if the political parties that produced the candidates with the first and second runner-up candidates in 2023 suddenly get destroyed with similar crisis simultaneously, it's not political deftness, it's Paul Biya in the making. Even the ADC you mentioned, we all saw how hard they tried. Tinubu is not going to return re-elected by bulldozing his way into power and making himself the only candidate on the ballot. There's no jubilation on the streets, only despair. That's all you need to know that it's not yet Uhuru.

Atiku left the PDP, who was Wike still fighting with via Samuel Anyanwu. The governors are only decamping due to the promise of control of the APC structure and the legal uncertainty around their convention. Sit back and watch out for the implosion if APC courtesy of old time loyalists who will be displaced from these defections.

Look at the kind of deals Tinubu is striking with the governors across the 36 states. For his own sole benefit.

Our constitution guarantees freedom of association and if politicians decide to jump ship it creates space for people like you that want to be viable opposition to come into the fray or does you and your likes "activism" only end on Social media?

Need I remind you that as at 2007 PDP had 31 out of 36 states under OBJ and no political party bleated about Nigeria becoming a one party state. Not even Tinubu who held his forte in Lagos, but he laboured and built it to what we see today!

The problem is never the APC but opposition politicians who belong to parties who can't keep their house in order but would complain when their members prostitute!

Maybe you think you are talking to kids here. How convenient that ALL political parties suddenly can't keep their houses in order under Tinubu's regime. Viable political parties who exercised their democratic franchise barely 2 years ago suddenly start having simultaneous leadership crisis with that of the PDP being openly supported and instigated by a political appointee under Tinubu with full state backing. Even a recalcitrant governor had to be forced to succumb by a declaration of a state of emergency until he bent the knee. The politicians are not decamping based on the popularity of Tinubu, they are merely doing so because Tinubu has used apparatus of state to create a state of legal doubt in their minds on whether or not their re-election will be upheld if they remain in their current parties. Be that as it may, Tinubu's pathway to re-election is still not as buttery smooth as you lot will like to pretend but his democratic credentials are already irreparably tainted.

He has traded the political ambitions of loyal party members in all opposition states just to secure his own re-election. Just as in Delta state, the new entrants are now the party leaders while other collusus like Omo-Agege are told to be subservient. It is unsustainable and will backfire because at the end of the day, politicians are students of power and will always aspire. You have seen the defections, next, brace up for the implosion that will happen at the dieing minutes. There could have been no better time for an alternative party which the ADC will eventually prove to be. Great foresight by the brains behind the coalition. Using the advantage of enormous resources of state to scuttle all other political parties so you can run unopposed and have politicians decamp to your party for survival looks like fear to me. The real confidence would have been to maintain the status quo and meet Obi at the polls. Other people have been president, no one destroyed opposition parties except during the military junta. Other people have ruled Lagos, no one held on to the state for over two decades and counting and refusing to let go.
