ChiefOloye:I am happy as all you APC supporters are no longer pretending that Tinubu will be able to win if the elections are free and fair. You are counting on "strongmen" to rig the election in Tinubu’s favour like Wike did in Rivers, even if that is against the will of the electorates but you will be disappointed. If the leaders are who determine how electorates vote, Tinubu would have won the presidential elections in Imo, Ebonyi, Cross River, Lagos, etc and all the states with incumbent APC governors. Rather, virtually all the governors managed to win their own gubernatorial elections further proving that the electorates are politically aware and intentional about not wanting Tinubu, specifically. |
ChiefOloye:Okay. Noted. Just tell Tinubu to do all he can to win the entire South in a landslide. With what we have seen so far, only the politicians are defecting while the electorates are feeling betrayed. Tinubu will find it harder to rig in the South if that continues and would be at a disadvantage if the elections become a North vs South affair. Okphebolo having to force his kitchen cabinet and commissioners to wear the cap with the slave chain insignia is not good optics and tells an alternate story. Winning 4 SW states in the whole South like he did in 2023 will not be enough to see him through in 2027. He should also be wary of the "Greek Gift". |
FreeStuffsNG:Don't attempt to divert away from the topic of discuss please. Is he living off taxpayers money? Is the handle you quoted beholden to be accountable to you? Can you even prove that both handles are one and the same. Please focus. |
Yet again, SaharaReporters was right but the government just felt embarrassed that they leaked the news too soon. Yet another mud in the faces of the Agbadorians that tried to discredit the news. Everyone falls sick but public servants holding positions in trust must be forthright and honest with these information. We wish the minister a speedy recovery. |
The master strategist is overrated. He came and implemented the wrecking policies of the Bretton Woods institutions, plunging Nigeria into the abyss for just a pat on the back which is hardly forthcoming. They now deny data from the Worldbank and IMF that they were trying to please ab initio. |
fuckJones:Yes o. We stand with Tinubu.
|
symbianDON:Lol. Forget these defections. It is clear that Tinubu can not win the presidential election come 2027. Just wait and see. |
The APC is now tacitly trying to lay Wike off, and in as much as this news is not in doubt, you'll be surprised by the people behind it. Tinubu's fragile ego will not allow him share the glory of who decimated the PDP with Wike. Wike's relevance fizzled with the exit of Atiku from the PDP, there would no longer be any justification for the "iyen d'eba" song. Wike just played himself. |
Lol. Tinubu cannot bulldoze himself into second term. If it didn't dey, e didn't dey. We told you these defections are coerced and there's no momentum behind it but you refused to listen. If Okpebholo will have to threaten his own kitchen cabinet to forcefully identify with Tinubu, what does that say about the real electorates? This is the case in many of the states where APC minions are celebrating defections today. Even rigging at gunpoint and spillage of blood will not be enough. |
ChiefOloye:Not just the North, even the South. He didn't win the South in 2023 and he wouldn't win it in 2027. The North made him President. If the defections were that consequential, there would be jubilation across the South. Rather, all we see is resignation and despair with no momentum but joy is coming. |
If they will call the Worldbank data false for simply stating the obvious but uncomfortable truth, what won't they do to blur the lines. Nigerians are now living in George Orwell's 1984. |
I think if a frontpage post is sponsored, it should be explicitly stated for transparency sake. |
Indeed. Calculate how much we owe him and we'll crowdfund to pay him back so he can leave us alone. After his media chat rights were taken away, Wike has been trying to improvise by taking a camera crew to every 1.5km groundbreaking ceremony. But it has failed to have the same effect. Take the camera away from Wike and he's as good as finished. |
That's very rich coming from someone who always chants, "I do for you, you do for me" at every project commissioning ground. |
Why? Was it because he refused to wear Jagaban cap with the slave chain insignia? https://www.nairaland.com/8539632/send-out-dont-wear-tinubu |
You won't find any other media house aside Sahara Reporters reporting on these news. That's how deep the level of media suppression is under this administration. The Southern Kaduna leaders are also culpable because they have all been placed on payroll or given appointments. That is what they have always wanted. |
Education is being dumbed down right before our eyes just to make certificate forgers with phony academic records attain validation. Mathematics help with critical thinking. |
BATified2023:Lol. Aren't you ashamed? You think Tinubu can bulldoze himself into second term? If it didn't dey, e didn't dey. We told you these defections are coerced and there's no momentum behind it but you refused to listen. If Okpebholo will have to threaten his own kitchen cabinet to forcefully identify with Tinubu, what does that say about the real electorates? This is the case in many of the states where APC minions are celebrating defections today. Even rigging at gunpoint and spillage of blood will not be enough. |
zero8zero:Are you sure? We wish him a speedy recovery but we will rather believe SaharaReporters who broke the news than Sunday Dare who told us he had amala over the phone with the minister. It's not like this government and its spokespersons are known for their transparency. Modified: The news wasn't false, afterall. They were just embarrassed that SaharaReporters reported it prematurely.
|
That was not the excuse Agbadorians gave on your behalf, Mr. Wike. They said you were not a member of the council of state. Please don't make them eat their words. When is your next media chat? We just want to check something.
|
Lol. Who are the Northern leaders and which faction of Afenifere did they meet with? APC has all the 36 state governors, they don't need to go on an endorsement hunting spree. Just organise a free and fair election. |
zero8zero:See logic na. So Tinubu's ultimate goal was to destroy all opposition parties and run unopposed. Even now, he's promising all defectors automatic tickets without any consideration as to the aspirations of existing politicians in the APC who have been holding fort through thick and thin. The defectors can still win their elections without delivering Tinubu. If Agbadorians will accuse Sanwo-olu and his appointees of working against Tinubu and even funding Atiku, then I wouldn't celebrate yet if I were you? Tinubu will not win the 2027 presidential elections. Bookmark this. |
zero8zero:The only defection that matters will be that of the electorates that voted for them under the banner of another political party. Unless they can say with all certainty that they are defecting with the express approval and support of the electorates that voted them in, then it's nothing worth celebrating. Would they be defecting if the government has not used state powers to destroy their erstwhile political parties? That's the ultimate question. I don't see jubilation on the streets as a result of these defections. Do you? I only see despair and resignation but the people will smile soon. |
gidgiddy:Don't mind him. Why didn't he deliver Abia to Tinubu as an APC chieftain. Tinubu engineered crisis in virtually all political crisis and celebrate when the politicians are decamping to find a vehicle to contest election thinking he has now become popular. Are the politicians who won under the LP that decamped also decamping with the voters that voted them in against the grain? |
Tinubu gets a certain level of high from splurging money on critics and former opponents to get them to convert to his side. We see it manifest in Daniel Bwala, FFK, Reno Omokri, etc. The whole idea around being a master strategist involves using a combination of inducement, inflitration and forceful coercion to get opponents to decamp to his side. We've seen that manifest in Lagos with Obanikoro, Jandor etc and more recently with Okowa, Sim Fubara (coercion), Yaya Bello, etc. The only problem with this strategy is that he will never be sure that his new-found friends will not betray him.
|
Wike's relevance was tied to Atiku remaining in the PDP so he can make a show of claiming to be fighting with him on Tinubu's behalf. With the quiet exit of Atiku from the PDP, Wike found himself fighting with himself. It became clear to all and sundry that he was the problem. Unlike before, Wike would now do all he can to prevent Fubara from decamping to the APC as that would mark the end of his influence and relevance. If Wike decamps to the APC today, he would take his place behind other leaders like Akpabio and Oshiomole from his Southsouth region. |
SatoshiX:There you go. Don't disappear like the fart of a leprous witch. Let's have your opinion. https://x.com/DOlusegun/status/1948267676389806305?t=teod9DQLegsYscEEGmRFwQ&s=19 |

aribisala0:Source is straight from the President’s aide, Dada Olusegun. Read line by line. It's part of Tinubu's over 23 billion dollar loan request to the national assembly that was approved without scrutiny. You're shocked right? 2 billion dollars by the federal government on a state project. https://x.com/DOlusegun/status/1948267676389806305?t=teod9DQLegsYscEEGmRFwQ&s=19 https://www.nairaland.com/8482825/projects-tied-recent-loan-request |
seunmsg:I have. Commulatively, Tinubu scored less than 150,000 votes in the entire Southeast (APC states inclusive). Is there something else I should be looking at? That's barely a ward in the North. Anything short of Tinubu winning the entire South in a landslide will not be enough to see him through the finish line. You can take this to the bank. |
