DeepSight:2023 election wasn't really rigged per se. Maybe in Rivers. Northerners genuinely voted for Tinubu in 2023. A lot of them now regret that decision. The dynamics in 2027 will be entirely different. It is difficult to rig if you're unpopular. Okowa couldn't rig as a sitting governor and vice presidential candidate in Delta state due to the momentum of Obi. The candidate with the right momentum will win their regions and I can't see that being Tinubu in anywhere outside of the Southwest. |
DeepSight:Not correct. If all the aforementioned are on the ticket, it will now become a strictly tribal and regional affair. If the elections are free and fair, Tinubu will not win. He wouldn't even come second. |
Daddyyin:Stop crying on my mention. Let's meet at the ballot. |
NothingDoMe:Sometimes, divided votes can be a strategy just as it was for Tinubu in 2023. The dynamics are now very different. Where will Tinubu get the bulk of his votes from to make him win? Lessons will be learnt. |
News from the stables of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway propaganda media machinery. Obi remains a founding member of the coalition and has never failed to physically attend a meeting except if out the country. He participated virtually in the last ADC meeting and agreed with every resolution reached. Try again. |
Wike currently has no immunity, why not start from there if he's really serious about this. |
Bluntemperor:No one was ever against a Southerner than Tinubu. He fought against Obasanjo and fought against Jonathan. Even now, he's denying other Southerners like Obi and Jonathan from having a platform to contest while still screaming "it's the turn of the South". He's not the South's first choice, he only won 4 states in the entire South in 2023. All 4 were from the Southwest. Northerners made Tinubu president. |
Very good. The more, the merrier. The only people that don't want Jonathan in the race are Tinubu, Wike and emergency legal adviser, Keyamo. Those ones are suddenly concerned about Jonathan's "reputation". Jonathan will clear the entire South South while poaching the votes of Northerners who still buy the idea that it's the turn of the South. He's also a safer bet for the North. His chances are not as slim as APC likes to pretend. Tinubu will do everything to use Wike to deny him the ticket of the PDP. |
These are part of the Northern influencers that the APC are paying per post to continue to run PR for them. The SW ones are obliviously running the propaganda for free while the Arewa boys are cashing out. In the end, the Arewa boys will still "vote wisely" (if you know what I mean).

Educationalserv:Your kind are the type who jubilate when they see their peers with good grades struggling financially just because they failed to study hard in school. All the workers in Total EP, Shell ,Transfugura, Mecuri are members of PENGASSAN. Dangote refinery workers must also belong to PENGASSAN if Dangote is to continue to run his business in Nigeria. He must also commit to paying his staff competitive salaries and meeting global best practice on staff safety at the workplace. It's not a matter of choice. It's a right ingrained into the nations laws and international labour laws. |
NgeneUkwenu:So did Fubara. The difference is that she served out her illegal suspension with her knees unbent, her head unbowed and her spirit unbroken and came back swinging at Tinubu and Akpabio. Unlike Fubara who came back from suspension with his tail tucked between his legs. Don't forget, "This injustice will not be sustained". |
strangest:You skipped Northern Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi, Niger, Yobe, the entire Borno, Anambra and Imo. Trying to paint terrorism against Nigerians different from what it is, will not solve the problem. Let us face the open failure of governance under the APC who have now resorted to openly negotiating with the terrorists. |
No, it didn't. Tinubu only amplified it. Nigeria's problem didn't start with Jonathan when Tinubu mobilised to vote him out of power. He should step aside if the kitchen is too hot to handle. |
Zionmdde:I am 100% in support of PENGASSAN. Dangote recruited the best Nigerian brains as engineers to run his plant and pays them peanuts compared to their peers and without PPE while still trying to deprive them of their right to unionise. He should reinstate them and do the needful. |
SmartPolician:With the boycott of the Rivers LG election, Tinubu now knows that the people of Rivers are more with Fubara than with Wike, the rigged results aside. Elections are harder to rig with apathy or mass disaffection. It is why Tinubu has become more openly cosy to Fubara. Wike's final assignment is to deprive PDP from fielding any formidable candidate like Jonathan. Failure to do so will lead to Tinubu dumping Wike. |
Wiseman2y:Jonathan should go pick the presidential ticket of the PDP or join the ADC and contest in its primaries. Obi should also submit himself to the primaries of the ADC. He does not have more claim to the ticket than Amaechi. The ADC will not zone it's presidential ticket to any region. The party is only obligated to organise a free and fair primaries. Whosoever is scared of that is free to go get another party's ticket or vote Tinubu. |
FG will simply scale up the importation of refined crude from Malta. Win-win situation for the oil cabals. Dangote may have fallen into a set trap. |
Just a few years ago under Buhari, the reaction to this news would have been different. The killings in Kaduna were attributed to Elrufai even though Muslims were the majority victims while the killings in Benue and Plateau were blamed on Buhari. Today, with the obvious media agenda-setting by the West against this government, we are now asking for context and nuance. The killings haven't subsided, rather new fronts have been opened in Kwara while the government negotiates with the terrorists and news get suppressed. The hypocrisy of everyone will be unravelled. They can keep on paying influencers off but money can't buy life.
|
Karlovych:It's funny seeing him trying to use "strongman" tactics and inducement to force support in the Southsouth. Even if Fubara decamps, Rivers votes aren't guaranteed because the people know it's based on duress. In the North, he's massively splurging cash on Arewa influencers to promote him but most of them will still end up "voting wisely". In the Southwest, he has commissioned Conservatives to go from radio station to radio station, using ethnicity to try to shore up support. "The guy is gone!", for real.
|
Armaggedon:Outside of the SW, does he really have any organic support anywhere in Nigeria? Small visit to Kaduna and he had to cough out money to Arewa influencers for publicity. "The guy is gone!"
|
In Rivers, the governor was suspended and new LG election conducted by a SOLAD just to force a "structure" for their own benefit. In Osun, illegal LG chairmen are empowered with LG funds just because the governor has refused to capitulate. Is anyone still in doubt of the "Paul Biya" tendencies? |
Lamba. His entire machinery is built upon buying love with money. Small visit to Kaduna and look how much he splurged on Arewa twitter influencers just for publicity. No Northerner supports him organically. If you're from the SW, if you like no collect your money. Allow them to continue to use ethnicity to buy your support for free.

When I saw TheNation newspaper as the source link, I quickly skipped. The days of the media superiority of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway propaganda machinery are long over. Why are they jittery? Tinubu even sent Nentawe, the APC chairman to go beg Pantami yesterday in the middle of the night. He's now desperately chasing after the Buhari bloc after alienating all of them. Lessons will be learnt.
|
He may not have totally shut him up for good but what is undeniable is that Wike's stock took a hit with his battle with Sowore. Not that Tinubu didn't know these revelations already, but now he has even more leverage to continue to use Wike to do his bidding. Tinubu now has him right where he wanted. |
seunmsg:What a time to be alive. So, Reno Omokri is now the moral compass of the APC and the one Lukumis take dressings from? Do you stand by everything he said about Tinubu in the days before the 2023 election or that no longer matters now that Tinubu has successfully bought him off? Don't divert to Atiku as you always do. Just answer the question.
|
So in summary, Reno Omokri was an aide to an aide of Jonathan? Noted. No wonder he quickly jumped ship to the highest bidder. |
madridguy:Where is the apology? Anyways, you're at liberty to create your own happiness and revel in it. |
Codepain:What ancestry does Olubadan share with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Waziri of Adamawa? The APC had better change its 2027 strategy of ethnicity because it's bound to crash, beginning from within the SW while alienating other regions that Tinubu would be needing votes from.
|
Nigeria is gradually becoming a police state under this government. |
Zionmdde:Dangote's refinery staff work under the worst working conditions imaginable. Why is he afraid of his workers joining a union if his hands are clean? He should improve the welfare of his indigenous staff. |

Tinubu betrayed the people of Rivers state same way Awo betrayed Igbos during the war.
