Lol. As predicted, APC will implode in a number of states. Delta already happened. Next will be Kogi, Benue, Plateau, etc. Stay tuned. |
Game on! Next to follow will be Ned Nwoko. Just like in 2023, Obi will defeat Tinubu in the South and his 5.6m Northern voters that made him president are all but gone. |
Are these Snake oil merchants still on these? No-one is buying it. Where are the savings from the "bold reforms"? Tinubu has outborrowed all previous governments. |
Just look at one of his handlers in the background warning the journalists not to ask any further questions. What a disgrace!
|
Pickup8:Yes it did, but the insecurity in the country pains me more. Tinubu is the Commander-in-Chief while Matawalle is the Minister of state for Defence, by the way. The best way to show "loyalty" is to be loyal to the Nigerian people and actually do his job. Not covering his incompetence by massaging the ego of a megalomaniac with low self-esteem who always craves validation. |
PR for a mere sycophantic visit? Nairaland should always specify when sponsored articles are pushed to frontpage. |
As long predicted, the implosion of the APC in Delta and several other states was inevitable. Next to follow will be Ned Nwoko. The NDC may turn out to be the most formidable party in the South while the ADC becomes the most formidable party in the North. Where then will Tinubu's votes come from? He still has Omoluabi Seyi Makinde to contend with in his own backyard. |
seunmsg:Thanks to who? I thought Omo-Agege did anti-party? Are we now celebrating 25% in the South. Is 25% still the target in 2027? Why not tell us how many percent Tinubu got in Imo, Ebonyi and Cross Rivers that had incumbent APC governors. |
seunmsg:Where were all these people in 2023, and who did they support when Okowa contested as V.P. candidate and an incumbent governor under PDP? Why couldn't Okowa deliver himself? |
seunmsg:The APC structure today was the PDP structure that failed to deliver an incumbent Okowa as Vice presidential candidate. It can even be argued that APC is even weaker than it was in 2023 with the ouster of Omo-Agege and other silently aggrieved members like Ned Nwoko. 2027 will be worse. |
seunmsg:Are you having a laugh? The Okowa group that failed to deliver Okowa as Vice presidential candidate under PDP? If Deltans had the presence of mind to vote Okowa's candidates and still reject Okowa despite being an incumbent and Vice presidential candidate, how will Tinubu now win Delta state with Omo-agege and Ned Nwoko aggrieved? What will Tinubu promise Deltans that is worth more than a V.P slot? They can still vote APC in the down ballots and reject Tinubu, just like in Lagos. Bottomline, Tinubu will struggle in the South, even in his own Southwestern backyard. You accuse all and sundry of working against Tinubu simply because they could not carryout the herculean task of delivering a very unpopular Tinubu. You forgot that Tinubu and his Lagos boys failed to deliver himself in Lagos but Lagos still has the highest number of appointees and projects. Being an ingrate is not a virtue. Time is a gentleman. |
Lol. Seunmsg, is Southsouth still in the bag? Where will Tinubu's votes come from? Anyways, we will all learn politics together! At least, Omo-Agege was bold enough to dump the APC. Tinubu should be more afraid of those whom are too scared to decamp but will carry out the mother of all anti-party ever known to man. |
Akpakomiza2:Admit that you are not updated and move on. What does "originally" mean in this context? Akpabio, Umahi, etc were also "originally" from the PDP. Are we no longer celebrating governors and senators that defected to the APC a few months ago? Bottomline is that APC has no current senator in Bauchi state as at today. We will all learn politics together.
|
Akpakomiza2:Lol. You are so confident in your ignorance. Bauchi North: Senator Samaila Kaila Dahuwa Bauchi South: Senator Shehu Buba Umar Both have resigned their membership of the APC today. Don't worry. We will all learn the politics together. |
Lithiumite:Which would you prefer? Aggrieved members staying put in a party due to a fraudulent electoral act clause or going elsewhere to exercise their franchise? The implosion of APC is already manifesting and you should be worried. The remaining two APC senators in Bauchi just decamped from the APC. With so many aggrieved party members, where will Tinubu's votes come from? From the 10 million phantom voters in the primaries? |
LagosOrigin:What do you expect of him when Tinubu who should play neutral as president picked a side? Tinubu practically intervened by imposing a state of emergency in Rivers and suspended Fubara when he was having the upperhand. Meanwhile, in Kaduna, he supported Uba Sani to rebel and go against Elrufai even though Elrufai never sought to be overbearing on Uba Sani. A president must be fair or at least be seen to be fair in order to command genuine respect. |
Timmi:We practically have videos of Tinubu begging Elrufai onstage in Kaduna to help him. Do you have any of Tinubu having helped Elrufai in any way or manner in the past? Tinubu supported the PDP candidate in Kaduna against Elrufai in 2019. Same thing he did against Amaechi in Rivers by using Magnus Abe to factionalise the APC. He is the originator of anti-party and his words mean nothing because he doesn't keep them.
|
Tinubu lackeys now stalk random users on X and other platforms scavenging for any and every reaction that can give them some iota of validation. It's a sign of low self-esteem, if you ask me. Peter Obi ally indeed. |
JASONjnr:Carwardice on display. Don't worry, the next government will also get a Yoruba person to handle the current usurper-in-power. We thank him for setting the precedence. Time is a gentleman. Elrufai who made Tinubu president is under incarceration without bail but Yahaya Bello and Okowa are running for senate under APC. Mobutu did more than this. Where is he today? |
Vision101:Keep clutching at straws. Is his detention in the ICPC for over 90 days now and counting as a result of the wiretapping allegation? What's the correlation between ICPC and wiretapping? Is that part of their mandate? When the DSS made attempts to arrest him at the airport after returning willingly to the country, was it as a result of the wiretapping that he hadn't even granted an interview on? Tinubu is clearly afraid of the moves that Elrufai can make and this is just one of several ways he has been stiffling opposition parties and opposition voices. Yahaya Bello and Okowa just won the APC primaries to contest for senate. You can continue to praise Tinubu for it but the table will turn in a short while from now. Time is a gentleman. |
lapintoz:Is there something you know that you want to tell us? Since Mallam truly listened to the NSA's phone conversations, should we also believe the Thallium Sulphate allegations? The next government will definitely probe Buhari’s death further. Mallam may be on to something. The desperation to keep him incarcerated for a bailable offence is becoming suspicious. |
RealityKings1:Don't worry. It will go round. Time is a gentleman. This arrogance was nowhere to be found barely 3 years ago. It will be gone in a little while. Better make the most of it. |
RealityKings1:Open confession to what crime? Prove that a crime was committed and how. An individual cannot be forced to testify against himself. |
Clowns. The only evidence that can prove Elrufai's wiretapping allegation is a digital forensics evidence/report of the NSA's phone showing a bridge or port forwarding of cell traffic or an unidentified hop in the network with a LAC not on the service provider mesh (IMSI catcher). If the court accepts Elrufai's confession into evidence based on his credibility then the court would likewise accept the claims of ONSA conducting illegal tapping of citizens. It is what it is when it comes to law. |
Gotocourt:Well. That's the morally flexible individuals for you. They are promising every region and their dog the presidency now but will backstab them all as soon as their tin-god gets re-elected. They couldn't make Tinubu president so why should we believe they have what it takes to make any region president? The North made Tinubu president! P.S: When they talk about Northcentral, they simply mean a Yoruba from Kwara. |
Well, he had earlier warned that Operation Wetie began from the Southwest. They can't claim they were caught unaware. |
ExudeLoveToAll:Pay no mind to the Professional Shape-shifters. This time, their agenda is falling flat on its face. |
fergie001:As things stand now, Tinubu will be the only major candidate who won't get bloc votes from any region. We've always maintained that Tinubu is unpopular even in his Southwest region but some of his lackeys like to pretend otherwise. It took Makinde coming into the race for them to begin to confess. Tinubu can no longer run on a "turn of the South" campaign nor invoke tribalism to win. Makinde is more of an Omoluabi than he is.
|
fergie001:Fergie001, this thread should be quickly moved to the frontpage with the header, "Tinubu's Ally Panics, Asks Tinubu to Beg Makinde". Cc: Seunmsg |
LegendHero:Sometimes I marvel at the mentality of some of you. So a governor putting his whole heart in means the electorates can no longer vote their choices? Does it mean Obi stands no chance in his Southeast if all the APC governors put their whole hearts in? Would you change your mind from voting Tinubu if the APC governor in your state defects today and puts his whole heart into his new party? Atiku won more APC states in 2023 than PDP states and it wasn't because the APC governors didn't put their whole hearts in. All I see in your permutation is fear speaking. Makinde will only make Tinubu bleed votes in the Southwest. Tinubu is supposed to win the SW in a landslide to stand a chance. In 2023, Atiku got 6.9m votes mostly from the North and the North still gave Tinubu 5.6m votes. If Tinubu is no longer popular in the North, that doesn't mean his previous 5.6m voters are now deceased or will be boycotting the election. Far from it. Majority of them will be voting Atiku instead to make up for whatever numbers he may lose in the SW. Atiku’s only challenge in 2027 will be meeting the ⅔ spread. He's already set to get the highest number of votes cast. |
bestman09:Or perhaps, a way to show you that the NDC, which was registered via court order, is an SPV and a Greek gift. Long before the court order was granted, it was widely reported that Wike would be fielding his candidates under the NDC if the APC insists on Fubara and his allies. |
HIGHESTPOPORI:Wrong. That was 2007. He was on the ballot both in 2003 and 2007. Where went zoning? Did any Northerner asked him to step down? |
