PoliticsRe: Osun 2026: New Adeleke Defection Rumours Rattle PDP, APC Members by AMINDA: 11:11am On Jul 12, 2025
AWONEYAN:
Nigeria Politics is the more you look... the less you see...
Imagine Demola Adeleke, contesting under APC in Osun for 2026.

PDP will feel betrayed...
APC members who remained in opposition will feel used .
Exactly. In the end, Aregbesola's ADC will be the biggest beneficiary in the state. It will provide a credible alternative for genuinely aggrieved persons from both parties. Tinubu does not care about the internal democracy of the APC in any state. He only cares about his own ambition. Every other person is dispensable. He's clearly desperate.

PoliticsRe: Osun Guber Election: Tinubu Decision On Candidacy Final – APC National Secretary by AMINDA: 7:02pm On Jul 11, 2025
This is what they want. To bring the Baba sopé style of politics to the national level, the Lamidi Adedibu kind of amala politics. Tinubu will not succeed in privatising Nigeria as he has done to APC making it a regional party. That can only happen in Lagos.
PoliticsRe: 2026: Osun APC Youths, Members Protest, Reject Automatic Ticket For Adeleke(pix) by AMINDA: 6:49pm On Jul 11, 2025
NgeneUkwenu, come outside o!. Adeleke hasn't even decamped yet and what I predicted is beginning to happen. Just like Osun, APC will also implode soon in Delta. The current peace being experienced in the state is akin to that of a graveyard.

Adeleke's defection will only cause discontent and disaffection among the original APC stalwarts who will be expected to give up their structure and ambition but we get it, Tinubu doesn't care about that. As long as he actualizes his inordinate ambition, everyone can be cannon fodder. Besides, Aregbe is on ground. ADC will field a gubernatorial candidate and the opposition will have a good outing. Any votes gotten by the coalition in Osun State is an added bonus anyways.
PoliticsRe: "NNPC May Sell Refineries" Bayo Ojulari by AMINDA: 5:15pm On Jul 11, 2025
When Obasanjo made a statement that the refineries are destined to fail, Bayo Onanuga jumped on him with vitriol and insults. Now, Obasanjo has been proven right and Tinubu is wrong again for the umpteenth time. He came into governance with so much arrogance and he's failing woefully. All his predecessors have proven to be better.
PoliticsRe: APC Considering Osun Governor Adeleke's Request To Join Party From PDP – Sources by AMINDA: 4:53pm On Jul 11, 2025
NgeneUkwenu:
Make I buy handkerchief for wiping away your tears? grin
Save it for 2027. You'll be needing it.
PoliticsRe: 2027: PDP Won’t Present Northerner For President – Bode George by AMINDA: 4:47pm On Jul 11, 2025
Yes. Give Seyi Makinde the ticket. The Southwest will massively vote for him as a credible alternative to Tinubu.
PoliticsRe: APC Considering Osun Governor Adeleke's Request To Join Party From PDP – Sources by AMINDA: 4:44pm On Jul 11, 2025
Release his local government allocations that you have withheld despite a court order to the contrary and see whether he'll still join the APC. Tinubu's attempt at hoping to leverage on the popularity of others to win re-election will backfire. It is not sustainable. You can't buy love neither can you copy respect.
PoliticsRe: Tinibu Could Not Make Ribadu President In ACN Now Claims He Made Buhari by AMINDA: 12:46pm On Jul 11, 2025
No problem. Tinubu made Buhari President and Elrufai made Tinubu President.
PoliticsRe: Daniel Bwala Officially Resigns From PDP, Cites Leadership Failure by AMINDA: 12:44pm On Jul 11, 2025
Tinubu won and immediately recruited his diehard opponents to come and eat where they did not sow while sidelining those who actually toiled hard to deliver him. He encouraged anti-party activities and now he's about to be the biggest casualty of it. Ungratefulness.
PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso Is 'Fire-Spitting” Leader - VP Shettima (Video) by AMINDA: 12:30pm On Jul 11, 2025
Northern leaders are not going to be antagonistic against themselves just because of power. They understand what the President is trying to do and would beat him at his own game. Except the one from Adamawa that is relying on his daddy, Tinubu to wreck all his opponents on his behalf so as to have smooth sailing.
PoliticsRe: Presidency, APC Leaders Fault Boss Mustapha On Tinubu's Role In Buhari's Victory by AMINDA:
Tinubu knows how to position himself to take credit for hardwork done by others. Same way he claims he built Lagos when we know that that was Fashola. He claims he made Buhari but 5.6m from his total 8.3m votes were from Northerners. Who made who? If Tinubu made Buhari President, then Elrufai made Tinubu President even more so.

These days, Tinubu's fiercest opposition comes from his own party and he's not actively winning over new voters. That's how you know he's not winning the election in 2027.

If you mean he didn't call THISDAY newspaper directly to anonymously Speak on his "secret" directive to Shettima given in private. Then you are right. He didn't leak it.

In other words, you don't actually know about any of the things you posted. You just made a story up based on your bias.
I commented based on my analysis of the article posted above in black and white. If you have a problem with that, I can't help it. I owe you no explanation. I'm simply doing this out of courtesy as a highly respected member of Nairaland that you are, Sir Naptu2. Have a good day.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Sends Shettima To London To Visit Ailing Buhari In Hospital by AMINDA: 7:36am On Jul 11, 2025
Proudlyngwa:
So in all these you wrote, where was it said Tinubu leaked it.
Of course he didn't. A "reliable source" who somehow happens to be privy to a private conversation between a President and his Vice called THISDAY newspaper to leak it. Lol.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Sends Shettima To London To Visit Ailing Buhari In Hospital by AMINDA: 7:28am On Jul 11, 2025
naptu2:
Deflection. You have not answered the questions.

There is no where in the article that it said that Tinubu leaked it and there is no where in the article that it said that Tinubu was outdone.

Please answer the questions.

Same questions to the fellow below.
"A reliable source told THISDAY that as soon as Tinubu received information that Buhari had been admitted to the London hospital, the President, who was scheduled to travel to St. Lucia, called the Vice President, directing him to proceed to London to check on the former President and report back to him."

"It was unclear why the visit was kept a secret, but when contacted about whether the visit took place and, if it did, why it was not made public, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha, confirmed that Shettima was in London, but said he could not confirm if he visited the two Nigerian leaders.

He insisted that the visit was a totally private one, explaining that he wasn’t privy to his boss’ itinerary to England’s capital. However, he stated that although he wasn’t sure whether the Vice President visited anybody, he was aware that he (Shettima) returned to Nigeria from London last Monday."

PoliticsRe: Will Shettima Join ADC? by AMINDA: 7:20am On Jul 11, 2025
givedemwotowoto:
There will be many political realignments, but if Shettima joins ADC, it will strengthen ADC’s grip in the NE and wipe out any advantage APC will have with Kwankwaso in Kano.
Tinubu will not win Kano even if Kwankwaso becomes his Vice. Tinubu is actually a poor strategist with no good Northern advisers given how he has handled his Northern advantage.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Sends Shettima To London To Visit Ailing Buhari In Hospital by AMINDA: 7:18am On Jul 11, 2025
naptu2:
Were you present when Tinubu quickly leaked it?

How do you know that Tinubu "sensed that he was outdone"?
It's literally there in the article. Shettima went on a private visit. How did an internal communication from a President to his Vice which he intended not to make "public" find its way to the media space?
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Sends Shettima To London To Visit Ailing Buhari In Hospital by AMINDA: 7:11am On Jul 11, 2025
naptu2:
Would they not have made it public if they were actually desperately trying to milk the support base?
So why is it then in public if it wasn't deliberately leaked? As made clear in the article, Shettima actually went on his accord, but Tinubu sensing he has been outdone, quickly leaked a false narrative that he sent Shettima.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Sends Shettima To London To Visit Ailing Buhari In Hospital by AMINDA:
Shettima went privately on his own accord but Tinubu is smartly trying to take the glory. There is no love lost between them now. Time for pretenses is over.

Tinubu trying desperately to milk Buhari’s support base after spending the past years demonising him and sidelining all his allies from the CPC bloc. Same way he went to Katsina and dishonestly said he was missing Buhari. Not even having Buhari as a Vice will save Tinubu from the wrath of the North.
PoliticsRe: Adamawa ADC Member Resigns, Blames Factionalization, Lack Of Direction by AMINDA: 5:28am On Jul 11, 2025
APC are clutching at straws to give themselves some form of consolation. Even the actions of a troll having fun on twitter are now something worth celebrating. What is coming is heavy!
PoliticsRe: Hate him, love him but you can't ignore El-Rufai - VP Shettima by AMINDA: 9:17pm On Jul 10, 2025
Softmirror:
El Rufai's calculation was to take over from Tinubu when power returns to the North in 2031 but his fellow Northerners who are more brilliant than he is quickly caught off his wings.
Don't sugar-coat anything. Tinubu betrayed Elrufai and he will pay for it. Is it fellow Northerners that are now about to betray Shettima as well? What about Ganduje? Tinubu should own up and stop moving like a coward after stabbing allies in the back. The days of hiding behind a finger are over.
PoliticsRe: Can Obidients Think Deeper For A Minute? by AMINDA: 7:54pm On Jul 10, 2025
helinues:
President Tinubu is now the president with state apparatus in hand
Okay, your Tinubu intends to use state apparatus to win re-election? I'm glad even his die-hard fans are coming to terms with the fact that he has no realistic pathway to victory. Tinubu and his state apparatus will be resisted across the entire North and in the East. He's free to rig the Southsouth. They appear docile but their numbers won't get Tinubu across.
PoliticsRe: We’re All One, Shettima Tells APC, PDP, ADC, NNPP by AMINDA:
Shettima is laying the groundwork for his impending defection to the coalition. First Elrufai, then Ganduje, and now Shettima. Who next will Tinubu betray?. Tinubu is only loyal to himself.
PoliticsRe: Akume Rules Self Out Of APC Chairmanship Bid by AMINDA: 7:18pm On Jul 10, 2025
Tinubu really did Ganduje dirty all just to accommodate Kwankwaso. Ganduje was shown his corrupt files and asked to resign or be disgraced. What a way to treat a loyalist! Now Tinubu has him right where he wanted, hence why he keeps going around with the infinity logo cap even though he's seething inside.
PoliticsRe: How To Achieve Igbo Presidency In Nigeria. by AMINDA: 6:37pm On Jul 10, 2025
The Unity b.eggars are coming out of their shells. Now you want the whole South to unite but when it was time for appointments, it was an all Yoruba affair. Tinubu missed the opportunity to unite the South, yet he went and opened a battlefront with the North. Very poor strategy.
PoliticsRe: Can Obidients Think Deeper For A Minute? by AMINDA: 6:29pm On Jul 10, 2025
Obi contesting as an independent candidate will only hurt Tinubu because Southern votes will be splitted. Tinubu got 5.6m votes in the North out of his total 8.3m in 2023. Northerners will now give those numbers to their son, Atiku. Meanwhile, Tinubu is still not popular in the South. Obi will always win him 10 times out of 10. Makinde will contest under PDP further shrinking Tinubu's numbers in the Southwest.
PoliticsRe: GEJ Tried To Remove Me, President Cannot Remove Elected Officials - VP Shettima by AMINDA: 6:19pm On Jul 10, 2025
NgeneUkwenu:
Is like this man doesn't enjoy his current status lately? He is talking too much on what is not necessary...We will answer him at the appropriate time.

God Bless My Lord President Tinubu.
Tinubu's campaign in the North will be lacklustre and led by charlatans with no electoral value. The President cannot continue to disrespect the VP and not expect backlash. Northeast will be a clean sweep for the opposition.

What's the update? Is Tinubu done begging Kwankwaso to be his Vice? I hear Kwankwaso's demands keep increasing with every concessions granted. Tinubu is desperate.
PoliticsRe: GEJ Tried To Remove Me, President Cannot Remove Elected Officials - VP Shettima by AMINDA: 6:15pm On Jul 10, 2025
Trouble in paradise. Shettima is already subtly throwing shades at Tinubu. 2027 will be very interesting.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Didn’t Support Buhari’s Emergence As APC Candidate — Lauretta Onochie by AMINDA:
Jorussia:
I told people close to me in the political circle, few weeks after PBAT was sworn in as president that if he refuse to go after Buhari cabal,he is going to regret it.It didn't make any sense for PBAT to spare buharis men when he knew PMB and his inner circle nv supported him to be president.

The president should simply ignore Lauretta and others who doesn't have any electoral value.I tell people it's the president that can only cause his defeat in 2027.PBAT should redouble his efforts on the economy and he will be re elected in 2027.
Didn't he? He actually went after Buhari’s men. Hadi Sirika is under trial. Even Yahaya Bello was hounded until he capitulated. He would have done more if he could. None of Buhari’s men are in Tinubu’s government even though Buhari had a lot of Tinubu’s men in his government. Even El-Rufai who worked for his re-election, was cast aside. Tinubu failed to reconcile the party and embarked upon vendetta.
PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu, Nana Shettima Commissions Remi Tinubu Health Centre In Lagos by AMINDA: 6:41am On Jul 10, 2025
I don't think the President and his wife recognises how disgusting Nigerians perceive this naming of every commissioned project after themselves to be. It's in very bad taste and screams of self-praise, megalomania, sycophancy and low self-esteem.
PoliticsRe: I Will Use My Money To Campaign For Tinubu's Re-Election In 2027 - Reno (video) by AMINDA: 6:36am On Jul 10, 2025
I wonder what this guy will do if Tinubu loses the election. He will jump ship.
Of course he will. Haven't you noticed him saying he wouldn't insult Atiku? He's keeping his options open. Reno is a pen-for-hire and Tinubu's strategy of using compromised individuals like Reno, Bwala and Segun Sowunmi as spokespersons is a poor one. It has rather called into question, the credibility of the government.
