Peakdesign23:APC minions are back to famzing Shettima after Kwankwaso declined their offer despite the beggings by Tinubu. Tell Tinubu to give Kwankwaso more concessions, removing Ganduje is not enough. |
No. The ADC is not expecting any major upset before 2027. Most of the aspirants that will contest this by-elections are prominent members of the ADC but in their respective political parties. ADC is not a merger, it's a coalition. |
Don't worry op. If that happens, we can always kill the devil again. For now, we are focusing on the serpent before us. |
It is possible but please leave Ekiti and Ondo for Tinubu. ADC is led by a seasoned General and Military Strategist, David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark while the APC currently has no chairman. Whoever they appoint, can never withstand Mark. Yesterday, A fake venue was dropped as bait and, like clockwork, Wike took it. He deployed his boys to shut it down flexing muscle where no show was ever planned. While they guarded empty chairs and locked gates, the real players moved quietly to the actual venue. Mission accomplished, no noise, no resistance. Tinubu and Wike really think they can play David Mark like some ogogoro sidekick? Big mistake. That's the difference a Military Strategist can bring. Tinubu cannot win this battle. The formation is too strong.
|
Yes. Wike can have the party. You don't muddy yourself in the gutter with a pig. A political party is only as relevant as the calibre of people in it. Yet again, Tinubu's strategy of using Wike and resources of state to destroy PDP, the largest opposition party has turned out to be a strategic mistake. It has United all opposition parties under one umbrella, hence making the ADC a major threat. So much for a master strategist. |
Ddeliverer007:Touché. All these people are a million times more credible than Tinubu. |
DoTheNeedful:We know your type. You still won't vote Obi if he were the only candidate on the ballot. Vote your Tinubu in peace. Tinubu is not the "Southern candidate", he's the "Muslim-Muslim candidate." You can't win by religion in 2023 and now attempt to win by region in 2027. |
Sannisege:Continue to cope. Obi had no governor in the Southsouth, who wrote the results for him in all the states he won in 2023? If Tinubu’s only remaining silver bullet is relying on governors to write results for him, then he's toast. |
opes:Elrufai's son will not decamp with his people's mandate. He will see out his term in the APC. That's honour. The same cannot be said of Pastor Eno and Governor Sheriff. |
They are all jittery. Keyamo has left his aviation ministry and has gone back to his traditional role of campaign spokesman, all just to tell us that APC isn't bothered. We don't believe you! Imagine APC still believing that governors decamping to their party without the people's support is a gamechanger in big 2025. We will all learn politics together. |
I keep saying that Tinubu lost his re-election bid the day he humiliated Elrufai and let him slip from his grip. Asides from Elrufai being a very formidable foe, you don't do that to someone whom gave his all for you. At least, not to a respected politician from another region. It was treachery and betrayal and should not be coming from a President. That move singlehandedly made the North to distrust Tinubu. Even Northerners who didn't like Elrufai became sympathetic to him. Tinubu's re-election campaign promises will be viewed with same distrust because he has now earned a reputation as someone who never keeps his word. A costly mistake! |
obawinner:Stale! In who's interest is Tinubu currently ruling Nigeria? |
APC will soon become a regional party for just Tinubu and his Lagos boys while ADC will become the real pan-Nigerian party. A handshake across the Niger and beyond!
|
Yes. That was all part of the strategy. He left Tinubu and his camp second-guessing his every move until the dying minute and gave them no room to scuttle it as they are known to do. All the while, they were chasing shadows while he was working on the main thing underground. He kept opposition alive and made Tinubu restless, reason why Tinubu started his re-election campaign after just 2 years into his tenure. When you meet a swordsman, you draw your sword.. It was a political leg-over! |
Yet another thread? It's seriously giving, "hey everyone! Look how unbothered I am" vibes. If you feel the ADC is no treat to Tinubu, you didn't have to open several threads to tell us so. |
Nigeria has grown beyond all these threats. He should first sort out his issues with Wike. Northerners gave Tinubu 5.6m votes, gave Atiku 6.9m votes and still gave Kwankwaso 1.4m votes. This is not inclusive of the numbers that Obi got in the Northcentral (mostly votes from Northern christians but still North by the way). Tinubu won only because the North jettisoned their own son, Atiku to keep the pact with the South. I ain't saying anything but you can do the maths. No-one should be getting arrogant at this point in time. It's too early. Politicians are behind closed doors doing serious horse-trading, allow the politicians to do their permutations. The number one goal is to first rescue Nigeria from the grip of Tinubu and we must put our best foot forward. |
The arrogance is turning into annoyance and soon, it will be regret and then comes resignation. |
flokii:You don't even care about the plight of the people in the country. You just want the satisfaction that comes with the feeling that your tribal man is in power. Neither tribe, religion nor region will be the front burners for Nigerians in 2027. Nigerians will be voting their survival. |
flokii:Now you are dogwhistling but it was Tinubu himself who broke the pact with the North while some Southwesterners cheered him on. It's on record that Northerners gave Tinubu 5.6m votes, gave Atiku 6.9m votes and still gave Kwankwaso 1.4m votes. This is not inclusive of the numbers that Obi got in the Northcentral (mostly votes from Northern christians but still North by the way). Tinubu won only because the North jettisoned their own son, Atiku to keep the pact with the South. Until betrayed, a Northerner will always keep his word. It is a religious obligation with serious implications if broken. |
Goo0dHardDick:Say what you will about Elrufai but he always triumphs over his enemies no matter how long it tarries. He loves passionately and gives his all for his friends. A highly intelligent and dependable ally with insane workrate but a very formidable foe. Plus, he has never lost a political battle. Yes, he has taken a few hits but always bounces back like a round ball. He lives true to his name, "Nasir" (the Victorious). Tinubu lost his re-election bid the day he let Elrufai slip through his fingers. Elrufai singlehandedly kept opposition alive until this day. He's the real "master strategist", not Tinubu. Read his book, "The Accidental Public Servant" and you will become a fan. Elrufai is a very liberal Northerner and also the most unjustly misunderstood. |

This one should go and sit down. No one would handover ticket to anyone on a platter. All interested contestants will slug it out and the most popular candidate will win. APC's primaries at inception in 2014 had Buhari, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Sam Ndah Isaiah contesting and Buhari won in a keenly contested but free and fair primaries. Anyone aggrieved with the outcome of the primaries can go vote Tinubu if they so wish. |
These are just the "external" implosion. Watch out for the internal implosion within the APC. Tinubu and his lagos boys can have the party while Wike holds on to the carcass of PDP. Nigerians have moved on. Instead of uniting, Tinubu's leadership style is divisive. He would have functioned well as a regional leader but his authoritarian and sit-tight mentality would put him at the bottom of the totem pole if the selection process will be based on merit. |
This one is paid per post by Uba Sani. He's one of the infamous databoys. He's better off ignored.
|
Politicstoday:In hindsight, he dealt with himself. For a supposed master strategist, he got all of his political strategies wrong from day one and to add insult to injury, failed woefully at governance. A double jeopardy! |
Ganduje is still pretending to be cool with Tinubu but deep in his heart, he's seething. Yet another ally humiliated by Tinubu for his own selfish ambition. What if Kwankwaso ends up not coming to the APC? Even if he does, Will it really be worth it? The momentum of the coalition might just have saved Shettima from being dropped. I don't think Tinubu will dare it anymore. But the damage is already done, trust is gone! In 2027, the level of antiparty that would happen within the APC will be unprecedented.
|
Is he finally done with his 17 days of project commissioning? One local government-tier project per day with so much pump and pageantry. When is he returning the lands he bequeathed to his sons? |
ManirBK:Tell your Tinubu that he cannot rely on factions and litigation to continue in power. He must subject himself to a democratic electoral process and he will be convincingly defeated. It's inevitable. |
"APC comot for road o, ADC don come. We no get brake o, ADC don come". What a melody! |
This is becoming a revolution. Can Tinubu just throw in the towel already? It's over. |
Yourprick:"ADC is working for Tinubu" - Agbadorians You all should give it a rest already. Throw in the towel, it's over!! |
