What are the names of the defected members and what is their resume before riding on the Kwankwaso wagon to become elected under an unknown NNPC? They are simply defecting to collect their retirement package. Maga must pay. Anyways, we will all learn politics together. |
seunmsg:How many governors, senators and house of reps members did Kwankwaso have prior to 2023 before singlehandedly getting them elected under an unknown NNPP against an incumbent APC? Momentum is a law of physics as well as in politics. This is a very weak response to Gawuna and Kwankwaso's defection to the ADC. |
Tell us something we don't already know. It is laughable for Tinubu to think he can sustain loyalty using money and fear as a tactic. It is suffocating. That was why Sanwo-olu allegedly funded Atiku. All the governors will want to break free from his overbearing attitude. There are no kings. |
seunmsg:If Tinubu arrogantly repeats the muslim-muslim ticket, he risks potentially losing the Middlebelt where he has made in-roads and will gain no political advantage from the Muslim North, unlike in 2023. He's stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. Governors like Muftwang are having a hard time justifying their defection to the APC in the wake of Tinubu's inability to stop the killings in the state. |
Oh, so Omisore is not supporting his party's imposed candidate? Tell us more. Tinubu is not home and dry yet, even in the Southwest. |
SmartPolician:Seunmsg is on the other thread playing the pity card on Tinubu's inability to curb insecurity. Meanwhile, here is Tinubu abusing federal powers on opposition figures while bandits and other criminals are roaming free. |
seunmsg:Tinubu is the president and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The position doesn't just stop at using federal might against opposition voices. All these pity parties and excuses won't cut it. Killings have been happening everyday since he got into power. The strategy was denial and media suppression until pressure from Trump exposed everything. He should do something about it or step down. He has both the knife and the yam. |
The momentum against Tinubu will be so strong heading into 2027 that it will be suicidal for anyone to attempt to rig. The election would have been won and lost before the first ballot is cast. Time is a gentleman. |
Passionate888:No be una again? You loved them in 2023 when they were busy making Tinubu president. |
Lifestone:Why should they? Does the data make you uncomfortable? Men lie, women lie but numbers don't. The first, second and third runners-up from last election are now in the same party. How does Tinubu intend to win? His purported consolidation of the South is a mirage and he still faces stiff resistance and unpopularity in the region, unlike other previous Southern candidates. Northerners made Tinubu president with 5.6m votes. He couldn’t even win Lagos. |
energy37:Tinubu's influence is overrated too because he didn't win Lagos right? He's president today only because the North gave him 5.6m votes. Thanks to the likes of Elrufai. He only won 4 states out of 17 Southern states. |
onatisi:Same Southsouth that Tinubu's water carriers told us is in the bag? Where then will Tinubu's votes come from? Goodluck might just spring a surprise and contest under the NDC. |
adioolayi:Dey play. Even Ganduje is silently aggrieved and will not enthusiastically support Abba Kabir. Same as Barau and other federal lawmakers in the state. Tinubu scuttled their own plans and ambitions to accept a lightweight Abba Kabir with no real structure of his own, imposing a vague and undefined 60-40 sharing formula on them. There is suspicion that Abba Kabir is still loyal to Kwankwaso as he moves around with the red cap. Kwankwaso is now FULLY in charge of Kano without making any concessions to Tinubu. The so-called master strategist is being outplayed in this game of strategy. He's blinded by greed and is clearly taking decisions out of panic. @topic, this is old news. Gawuna already resigned from the APC yesterday and has just landed in Kano in preparation for his defection to the ADC today. |
adioolayi:What alignment? You mean the ones he procured with money and coercion like in the case of Fubara? Kano federal lawmakers like Ado Doguwa, Kawu Samaila, and Jibrin Kofa who earlier defected to APC are already considering defecting to the ADC having seen where the pendulum is swinging towards. Here they are having a meeting after boycotting another meeting called by governor Yusuf Kabir. Notice how none of them is wearing the slave chain insignia cap. We warned Tinubu not to upset the cart in Kano but his greed wouldn't allow. The same will be the case in several APC states with newly defected governors.
|
Jii95:He also won just 4 states out of 17 Southern states and all 4 were from the Southwest. That shows you the level of his unpopularity and how hard his Northern allies had to work to give him the margins he got. He couldn't even deliver himself in Lagos. Can the North love Tinubu more than he's loved at home? |
adioolayi:It won’t be a betrayal. He would be repaid in his own coin. 5.6m Northerners voted Tinubu in 2023 and would have repeated the same in 2027. It was Tinubu who betrayed the North and the people who worked hard to make that possible. |
These are the people the so-called master strategist replaced Elrufai with? Shehu Sani cannot mobilise his own ward to vote for himself, let alone deliver his state to Tinubu. |
Kukutente23:What about them? Okowa was an incumbent governor and Vice presidential candidate but he failed to deliver his state in the presidential election. |
Leave cho cho cho. Governor Yusuf should strive to deliver Tinubu and himself come 2027 while Kwankwassiya work to deliver the ADC. He can also ditch the red cap and replace it with the slave chain insignia cap while at it. Kwankwaso is the undisputed leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement. |
QuinQQ:In other words, apart from abusing power by using INEC, Supreme Court, Police, Army to rig the election, he will have no pathway to victory. Thanks for letting us know but it will be resisted. Be there! |
LagosOrigin:Only two things are certain on Earth. 1. Death 2. Southwest votes being splitted The Southwest has the most diverse voting pattern only next to the Northcentral. Tinubu will not win the Southwest with a landslide. As a matter of fact, he can only win the region by rekindling ethnic sentiments against the "usual suspects" and this will strongly backfire across the "other South" at a time when he will be needing "Southern solidarity". |
QuinQQ:APC had 21 governors in 2023 but Tinubu only won 12 states. Of those twelve, only 6 were APC-governed states. Why didn't all 21 governors deliver their states? Even a combination of Sanwo-olu, Gbajabiamila, Obasa, Fashola, Ambode and Tinubu himself failed to deliver Lagos. Can you tell us why? |
While battle-tested collusus are defecting to the ADC in the North, APC is relying on Obi Cubana and Cubana Chiefpriest to deliver Tinubu in the South using money and bags of rice. Lessons will be learnt! |
Jagora! /video/4 |
For those wondering, the crowd is chanting "Falle daya che". Translation, "Just one tenure". How Tinubu who enjoyed so much Northern goodwill in 2023, allowed himself to be associated with the betrayal tag in Kaduna, Kano and other Northern states need to be studied. /video/4 |
Sabuwar tafiya! A new journey! A Tsunami is coming. We will all learn politics together!
|
When will Tinubu drop Shettima as VP? Has he changed his mind? Tinubu gambled his re-election chances away on the day he betrayed Elrufai. He lost the trust and support of the North and gained nothing in return. It was a shocking strategic mistake from a so-called master strategist. Why is Ribadu not pulling his weight and galvanising Northerners for Tinubu like Elrufai did in 2023? Come-and-chop politicians. Lessons will be learnt! |
Are we all learning politics together or not? Time is a gentleman! |
blamingthedevil:Why are you spamming all Nairaland threads with this same comment from the WhatsApp group? Kwankwaso ran immediately after 8 years of Buhari at a time when Elrufai's messaging of returning power to the South was reverberating across the North. He did Tinubu a favour by running and still managed to poll 1.4m votes despite Northern votes being largely splitted 3 ways between Atiku, Tinubu and himself. Fastforward to 2027 and Atiku, Kwankwaso and Obi will now align under one party with Tinubu having lost a huge chunk of his 5.6m Northern votes. Continue to bury your head in the sand. |
Yet another international embarrassment! |
Okwute, welcome to Kano! We are happy to have you. |
Omowale2023:Lol. Dey play. What's in it for the Obidients? This would have worked if Tinubu had played his "Southern card" right. Rather, he prioritised only his ethnic group to the detriment of other regions in the South. His SW supporters also continued to pour insult on injury by antagonising the other South. |

Time will tell.
