PoliticsRe: 2027 Is Assured For President Tinubu And Governor Abba Yusuf In Kano - Ganduje by AMINDA: 5:11pm On Mar 31
What are the names of the defected members and what is their resume before riding on the Kwankwaso wagon to become elected under an unknown NNPC? They are simply defecting to collect their retirement package. Maga must pay. Anyways, we will all learn politics together.
PoliticsRe: Governor Abba, Ganduje present as 8 Kano Reps members dump NNPP, defect to APC by AMINDA: 5:05pm On Mar 31
seunmsg:
How many Senators and House of Reps members from NNPP joined Kwakwanso to move to the ADC?
How many governors, senators and house of reps members did Kwankwaso have prior to 2023 before singlehandedly getting them elected under an unknown NNPP against an incumbent APC? Momentum is a law of physics as well as in politics. This is a very weak response to Gawuna and Kwankwaso's defection to the ADC.
PoliticsRe: Several APC Govs, Ministers Don't Genuinely Support Tinubu - APC Chieftain Alwan by AMINDA: 5:00pm On Mar 31
Tell us something we don't already know. It is laughable for Tinubu to think he can sustain loyalty using money and fear as a tactic. It is suffocating. That was why Sanwo-olu allegedly funded Atiku. All the governors will want to break free from his overbearing attitude. There are no kings.
PoliticsRe: The Strategy ADC Can Adopt To Dethrone Tinubu by AMINDA: 4:56pm On Mar 31
seunmsg:
You must be the upper Iweka guy that has been advising Peter ObI all these while. To be honest, I think you are a better political strategist than Racoon, Mrvitalis, Kukutente23, Penguin2, Aminda etc grin grin grin
If Tinubu arrogantly repeats the muslim-muslim ticket, he risks potentially losing the Middlebelt where he has made in-roads and will gain no political advantage from the Muslim North, unlike in 2023. He's stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea. Governors like Muftwang are having a hard time justifying their defection to the APC in the wake of Tinubu's inability to stop the killings in the state.
PoliticsRe: August 15: APC Will Win Without Omisore’s Support – APC Chieftain Sunday Akere by AMINDA: 4:53pm On Mar 31
Oh, so Omisore is not supporting his party's imposed candidate? Tell us more. Tinubu is not home and dry yet, even in the Southwest.
PoliticsRe: Nasir El-Rufai Has Been Taken Back To Custody By ICPC Officials by AMINDA: 4:44pm On Mar 31
SmartPolician:
Is his offense not bailable? Why are they treating a former governor like a common criminal because he's criticising powers that be?
Seunmsg is on the other thread playing the pity card on Tinubu's inability to curb insecurity. Meanwhile, here is Tinubu abusing federal powers on opposition figures while bandits and other criminals are roaming free.
PoliticsRe: Jos attack carried out to embarrass Tinubu on his birthday - Cubana Chief Priest by AMINDA: 4:41pm On Mar 31
seunmsg:
You don't even require any high IQ to see the political intentions in all the recent attacks. A day to when he was traveling to UK, they carried out a deadly attack and immediately circulated a fake Donald Trump screenshot through popular Obidient influencers like Rufai etc just to embarrass the President on the international stage. Now, they came up with this Jos attack again. Killing innocent people just because of politics. So sad.
Tinubu is the president and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The position doesn't just stop at using federal might against opposition voices. All these pity parties and excuses won't cut it. Killings have been happening everyday since he got into power. The strategy was denial and media suppression until pressure from Trump exposed everything. He should do something about it or step down. He has both the knife and the yam.
PoliticsRe: Be Battle Ready, Don't Leave Polling Units Until Votes Are Counted - Kwankwaso by AMINDA: 4:36pm On Mar 31
The momentum against Tinubu will be so strong heading into 2027 that it will be suicidal for anyone to attempt to rig. The election would have been won and lost before the first ballot is cast. Time is a gentleman.
PoliticsRe: Atiku + Obi Combined Votes Will Lead To A Clear Victory - Statisense by AMINDA: 12:55pm On Mar 31

I just don't like kwankwaso and hell rufai
No be una again? You loved them in 2023 when they were busy making Tinubu president.
PoliticsRe: Atiku + Obi Combined Votes Will Lead To A Clear Victory - Statisense by AMINDA: 12:52pm On Mar 31
Lifestone:
Is Statsense an arm of a Political party now? It will severely discredit them. I suggest they stay out of Politics
Why should they? Does the data make you uncomfortable? Men lie, women lie but numbers don't. The first, second and third runners-up from last election are now in the same party. How does Tinubu intend to win? His purported consolidation of the South is a mirage and he still faces stiff resistance and unpopularity in the region, unlike other previous Southern candidates. Northerners made Tinubu president with 5.6m votes. He couldn’t even win Lagos.
PoliticsRe: VP Shettima Visits El-rufai, Offers Prayers For Late Mother [VIDEO] by AMINDA: 12:49pm On Mar 31
energy37:
The end justifies the means. Don't conclude on an election that is yet to hold. After the election, you can pass your comment. El Rufai's influence may be exaggerated otherwise why did Tinubu not win in Kano and all the other Norther States where he lost in 2023. If you think we will just hand over the country to the North because of El Rufai, you may be disappointed.
Tinubu's influence is overrated too because he didn't win Lagos right? He's president today only because the North gave him 5.6m votes. Thanks to the likes of Elrufai. He only won 4 states out of 17 Southern states.
PoliticsRe: APC Chieftains Resign, Defect To NDC With Over 10,200 Supporters In Bayelsa by AMINDA: 7:32am On Mar 31
onatisi:
Seems NDC is gaining serious ground in south south
Same Southsouth that Tinubu's water carriers told us is in the bag? Where then will Tinubu's votes come from? Goodluck might just spring a surprise and contest under the NDC.
PoliticsRe: Ex-Kano Deputy Governor Nasiru Gawuna Visits Kwankwaso (Photos) by AMINDA: 7:27am On Mar 31
adioolayi:
Mr Nasir Gawuna ...with over 800k votes .. aligning with elections veteran like Kwankwoso in Kano is a plus.

Should this addition naturally translate into increase huge figures...the answer is No.

The reasons sre simple...The only force here is still Kwankwoso and not Gawuna.
This is because, Gawuna reportedly only managed to win his ward in an elections he was on the ballot...he lost 11 wards and lost his LGA in the last elections. NNPP candidate backed by this same Kwankwoso won in 11 wards and this LGA.

So, I believe it is Kwankwoso's figures he will inherit. Kwankwoso needs him as a candidate to run Kano gubernatorial..and that's all.

My own permutations...if there are no other defections from APC to ADC....I think Governor Kabiru has a chance.....teaming up with Ganduje and other APC's heavyweight...his own performance ratings will be decisive to know if he can defeat Kwankwoso.

For now, Gawuna is not adding any electoral figures to Kwankwoso
Dey play. Even Ganduje is silently aggrieved and will not enthusiastically support Abba Kabir. Same as Barau and other federal lawmakers in the state. Tinubu scuttled their own plans and ambitions to accept a lightweight Abba Kabir with no real structure of his own, imposing a vague and undefined 60-40 sharing formula on them. There is suspicion that Abba Kabir is still loyal to Kwankwaso as he moves around with the red cap. Kwankwaso is now FULLY in charge of Kano without making any concessions to Tinubu. The so-called master strategist is being outplayed in this game of strategy. He's blinded by greed and is clearly taking decisions out of panic.

@topic, this is old news. Gawuna already resigned from the APC yesterday and has just landed in Kano in preparation for his defection to the ADC today.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Will Win By Wide Margin In Northern Nigeria – Shehu Sani by AMINDA: 6:22am On Mar 31
adioolayi:
I love analysing our politics without sentiments or emotions.

Nigeria's political system is diverse, especially for politicians that have seen our resources as National Cake that everyone must have a bite.

In governance, sharing of this cake has never been balanced. Those whose interests have been badly affected will jump to the opposition and those who are eating something tangible will remain, and if they were at the oppositions before, they will align.

Sadly, that's how these guys have been ruling us over the years.

Will the so called betrayer be enough to defeat APC, considering the numbers of alignment they have equally receivedhuh Time will tell.
What alignment? You mean the ones he procured with money and coercion like in the case of Fubara? Kano federal lawmakers like Ado Doguwa, Kawu Samaila, and Jibrin Kofa who earlier defected to APC are already considering defecting to the ADC having seen where the pendulum is swinging towards. Here they are having a meeting after boycotting another meeting called by governor Yusuf Kabir. Notice how none of them is wearing the slave chain insignia cap. We warned Tinubu not to upset the cart in Kano but his greed wouldn't allow. The same will be the case in several APC states with newly defected governors.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Will Win By Wide Margin In Northern Nigeria – Shehu Sani by AMINDA: 6:17am On Mar 31
Jii95:
The whole of North West and East, which comprise 14 states, Tinubu won only 2 states in the 2023 election. They once betrayed Tinubu so, it won't be surprising this time.
He also won just 4 states out of 17 Southern states and all 4 were from the Southwest. That shows you the level of his unpopularity and how hard his Northern allies had to work to give him the margins he got. He couldn't even deliver himself in Lagos. Can the North love Tinubu more than he's loved at home?
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Will Win By Wide Margin In Northern Nigeria – Shehu Sani by AMINDA: 5:59am On Mar 31
adioolayi:
They have proven over time that they don't play one eye-man kind of politics..

Just 4 years before power goes back to the North... anyone that thinks the North will trade this for a potential new President that will spend 8 years doesn't know politics.

He won't be betrayed..
It won’t be a betrayal. He would be repaid in his own coin. 5.6m Northerners voted Tinubu in 2023 and would have repeated the same in 2027. It was Tinubu who betrayed the North and the people who worked hard to make that possible.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Will Win By Wide Margin In Northern Nigeria – Shehu Sani by AMINDA:
These are the people the so-called master strategist replaced Elrufai with? Shehu Sani cannot mobilise his own ward to vote for himself, let alone deliver his state to Tinubu.

Kukutente23:
Wht about Wike and the SS govs? r you trolling or you're just looking to gather likes
What about them? Okowa was an incumbent governor and Vice presidential candidate but he failed to deliver his state in the presidential election.
PoliticsRe: Governor Yusuf’s Aide Mocks Kwankwaso For Quiting NNPP by AMINDA: 6:23pm On Mar 30
Leave cho cho cho. Governor Yusuf should strive to deliver Tinubu and himself come 2027 while Kwankwassiya work to deliver the ADC. He can also ditch the red cap and replace it with the slave chain insignia cap while at it. Kwankwaso is the undisputed leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Reacts To Kwankwaso's Defection To ADC by AMINDA: 6:18pm On Mar 30
QuinQQ:
Because he did not have the overwhelming power of the presidency (which comes with control of INEC, Supreme Court, Police, Army).
Notice I said reelected NOT elected
In other words, apart from abusing power by using INEC, Supreme Court, Police, Army to rig the election, he will have no pathway to victory. Thanks for letting us know but it will be resisted. Be there!
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu, heading the Most Useless Government - Mr Macaroni by AMINDA: 6:13pm On Mar 30
LagosOrigin:
Millions of Yorubas are not in support of tinubu bad administration..

Funke akindele yesterday snubbed Toyin Abraham at an event for supporting tinubu failed government
Only two things are certain on Earth.
1. Death
2. Southwest votes being splitted

The Southwest has the most diverse voting pattern only next to the Northcentral. Tinubu will not win the Southwest with a landslide. As a matter of fact, he can only win the region by rekindling ethnic sentiments against the "usual suspects" and this will strongly backfire across the "other South" at a time when he will be needing "Southern solidarity".
PoliticsRe: Atiku Reacts To Kwankwaso's Defection To ADC by AMINDA: 6:09pm On Mar 30
QuinQQ:
They're wasting their time though. No president can have 32 govs in this CORRUPT country and lose. It's simply IMPOSSIBLE!
APC had 21 governors in 2023 but Tinubu only won 12 states. Of those twelve, only 6 were APC-governed states. Why didn't all 21 governors deliver their states? Even a combination of Sanwo-olu, Gbajabiamila, Obasa, Fashola, Ambode and Tinubu himself failed to deliver Lagos. Can you tell us why?
PoliticsRe: Atiku Reacts To Kwankwaso's Defection To ADC by AMINDA: 6:07pm On Mar 30
While battle-tested collusus are defecting to the ADC in the North, APC is relying on Obi Cubana and Cubana Chiefpriest to deliver Tinubu in the South using money and bags of rice. Lessons will be learnt!

PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso Officially Joins ADC In Kano by AMINDA: 5:18pm On Mar 30
For those wondering, the crowd is chanting "Falle daya che". Translation, "Just one tenure". How Tinubu who enjoyed so much Northern goodwill in 2023, allowed himself to be associated with the betrayal tag in Kaduna, Kano and other Northern states need to be studied.

PoliticsRe: VP Shettima Visits El-rufai, Offers Prayers For Late Mother [VIDEO] by AMINDA: 4:51pm On Mar 30
When will Tinubu drop Shettima as VP? Has he changed his mind? Tinubu gambled his re-election chances away on the day he betrayed Elrufai. He lost the trust and support of the North and gained nothing in return. It was a shocking strategic mistake from a so-called master strategist. Why is Ribadu not pulling his weight and galvanising Northerners for Tinubu like Elrufai did in 2023? Come-and-chop politicians. Lessons will be learnt!

PoliticsRe: 2027: Tuggar Resigns, To Pursue Bauchi Governorship Aspiration by AMINDA:
blamingthedevil:
Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s 2023 numbers in those states, despite being on the ballot as a presidential candidate:

Kano State: 997,279 votes
Jigawa State: 98,234 votes
Borno State: 4,626 votes
Sokoto State: 1,300 votes
Kebbi State: 5,038 votes

Now tell me, what exactly makes you think these numbers will improve when he’s not even on the ballot as a presidential or VP candidate?

The man couldn’t even make real inroads into his next-door neighbour, Jigawa 😂
Why are you spamming all Nairaland threads with this same comment from the WhatsApp group? Kwankwaso ran immediately after 8 years of Buhari at a time when Elrufai's messaging of returning power to the South was reverberating across the North. He did Tinubu a favour by running and still managed to poll 1.4m votes despite Northern votes being largely splitted 3 ways between Atiku, Tinubu and himself. Fastforward to 2027 and Atiku, Kwankwaso and Obi will now align under one party with Tinubu having lost a huge chunk of his 5.6m Northern votes. Continue to bury your head in the sand.

PoliticsRe: If ADC Really Want Tinubu Out, Let Atiku-obi Contest by AMINDA: 2:22pm On Mar 30
Omowale2023:
Bro. It won't work. The South especially the obidients will vote for Tinubu overwhelmely if ADC gives Atiku or Any northern the ticket, and that will be a disaster for ADC, ADC can't win 2027, if ADC wants to win 2031, They need to field a southern in 2027, and let Nigerians know ADC is a force to reckon with. Anything short of it, ADC will be wasting their time and resources
Lol. Dey play. What's in it for the Obidients? This would have worked if Tinubu had played his "Southern card" right. Rather, he prioritised only his ethnic group to the detriment of other regions in the South. His SW supporters also continued to pour insult on injury by antagonising the other South.
