All this distraction tactics by the duo is to divert the attention of Nigerians from the real reason behind Tinubu's state visit. Nigeria is a country with Ajaokuta steel, a minister of steel development and an expression of interest by Dangote to go into steel development but Tinubu has gambled all that away just to get an opportunity to kiss Camellia's ring.

Word salad borne out of fear of the man, Elrufai. The ICPC is now investigating a case of alleged wire tapping under Tinubu's government. What happened to the 420 billion naira allegation? When will Elrufai be arraigned in court? What is Tinubu afraid of? |
None. Zilch. Nada. He was practically played by the "state visit" and appended his signature to every deal placed before him in exchange for a ride on horseback. Nigeria is now subsidising the UK but Tinubu's lackeys on here are nonthewiser. Maybe his Nairaland resident water carriers can help out here.

What really did the Master Tragedist secure for Nigeria from the UK? He was practically played by the "state visit" and appended his signature to every deal placed before him in exchange for a ride on horseback. The only reason Tinubu is desperate about State police is so he can hands-off and tell Nigerians to hold their governors accountable. He's a master of passing the buck while the heist continues. |
Sannisege:That was the beauty of democracy until Tinubu happened. He's practically splurging cash and using a combination of inducement and coercion to try to get everyone to decamp to his party. As if that were not enough and out of paranoia that there may be mass exodus out of the overbloated APC from those who will lose out in the primaries, he changed the electoral law to make that impossible. He forgot that one may take a horse to the river but twenty cannot force it to drink. Time is a gentleman. |
floss:Wake up and smell the coffee. If everything was rosy, he wouldn't have left the LP. You are dealing with a man determined to be the only candidate on the ballot. You either bring yourself up to speed or vote Tinubu like a conquered serf. Another option is to abstain from voting and observe voter apathy. You won't be missed. Obi is with the ADC. |
Here lies the problem. The NSA has prioritised PR and propaganda over real results. Thr worst thing Tinubu did was to give that position to an ambitious individual with political ambitions. Now, security has been politicised. |
Dasuki was arraigned and it was the courts that ordered for his remand. His case is still ongoing as he was even re-arraigned as recently as last year. Apart from being Tinubu's nemesis, what offense is Elrufai being detained for and which court ordered for his perpetual detention while "investigation" is ongoing?

Svoboda:Buhari was well respected and gave Nigeria dignity and respect internationally. Can't say the same of the current one with low self-esteem who's desperately trying to whitewash his image and might have even procured this visit through lobbying. https://www.nairaland.com/8638033/explosive-trump-insider-paid-tinubu |
Seunmsg, could this be how Tinubu procured the UK state visit? What good is foreign validation without the validation of your own people. Meanwhile, this was Delta state yesterday. "Southsouth in the bag" in the mud.
|
seunmsg:Which one? This one?
|
|
seunmsg:Why do you and Tinubu chase outside validation so much? Is it low self-esteem or imposter syndrome? From aiming to please Worldbank and IMF to celebrating a mere state visit to Britain, a fast declining empire. Why not focus on Nigeria and Nigerians and actually secure the country and make it prosperous for its citizens? As things stand today, Britain will gain more from Nigeria than Nigeria can ever hope to gain from it. |
Okay. Leave that to the electorates to decide. Just guarantee a free and fair election and tell Tinubu to stop scheming to be the only candidate on the ballot. |
Fake news. Sponsored propaganda. "A source", "observers", "another source". All hallmarks of a vague and procured mills and boon story. |
It is now obvious that Igboho was used by Tinubu to pressure Buhari’s government. Is Yorubaland safer today under Tinubu than it was under Buhari? Where's the agitation for "Yoruba nessan"? |
Protestpreneur. Paid and controlled opposition. We see you for what you are. An opposition to the opposition is only working for the government in power. |
Changes nothing. The ICPC has only proved that it has nothing against him, just vendetta and hounding of influential opposition figures due to fear and paranoia. We thank Tinubu for setting the precedence. It will definitely go round.
|
Reminds one of the story of the King who had no clothes on but had no-one bold enough to tell him so he kept parading round the Palace buttnaked. Tinubu only has a false air of popularity around him. None of these will translate to votes come 2027. |
Thankfully, he's yet to fall down face flat on any foreign or domestic visit. He's fitter than at least one person in the race. |
Segun, why are you paranoid? |
Omoboricash:In similar way a combination of Sanwo-olu, Gbajabiamila, Obasa, Fashola, and Tinubu himself could not deliver Lagos. Yet, he's president. You get the point. Elrufai was not on the ballot, Tinubu was. Do not expect these governors decamping to APC today to deliver Tinubu. It's a tall ask. You will be disappointed. |
We are now running PRs for heads of security agencies. Three suicide bombings just occurred in Maiduguri in one night. That's an intelligence failure but let's focus on sit-at-home. |
yinkus6750:They don't want to contest with Otti. They are doing all these to put pressure on him so he can decamp to the APC. They think that will automatically make him deliver the state to Tinubu. |
Fekumzi123:Obasanjo had him in his cabinet as FCT Minister 20 years ago and no one has been able to surpass his achievements. He remains the best FCT Minister till date. He is the standard by which subsequent Ministers are measured. Talk another one. |
parags:How comes ALL political parties suddenly became weak under Tinubu's regime? The last time political parties were this weak was under Sani Abacha. Coincidence? I don't think so. |
boxypane:Assuming but not conceding that he said so, is that why ICPC is detaining him without charge? Is ICPC now a court of law and is that part of their mandate? Whether or not he's guilty of that, it is still left for the courts to decide. The government attempted to arrest him at the airport when he voluntarily returned to the country and seized his passport without a court order. That was before the interview. ICPC failed to produce him in court on the day the DSS case was to be heard. Who is fooling who? Nigeria is not a banana republic. |
alanto:Word salad. Tell Tinubu to stop seeking to destroy all opposition parties using apparatus of state and face his opponents at the polls. |
Benwallt:Ignorance is a disease. The ruling party is sponsoring opponents and attempting to use fifth columnists and the compromised courts to take over the ADC as has been done to LP and PDP. But you can continue to bury your head in the sand. |
He has 36 state governors but the paranoia is still palpable. Does Tinubu know something his minions don't? His only pathway to victory is to run unopposed but that will be impossible. |
