PoliticsRe: Salihu Tanko Yakasai Visits Atiku Abubakar by AMINDA: 7:57am On Mar 27
Akpakomiza2:
Why has ADC failed to get a single governor? Your party is unattractive and failing... Atiku has lost more followers than any other politician. As it stands, Atiku is non-existent in all southern states, his defeat will be resounding
Which governor will forgo 500 billion naira to join the ADC for free? How many governors delivered their states to Tinubu in 2023?
PoliticsRe: Saraki: Friendship With Wike Doesn’t Mean I Endorse Tinubu by AMINDA: 7:35am On Mar 27
psalmsjob:
For you to say saraki from kwara state which is on the north central is not a northerner means you don't no anything about Nigeria beyond okpa and abacha grin na wa for una just cho cho cho like say una know something
Tinubu considers Saraki a Northerner that's why virtually all appointments meant for the Northcentral are given to individuals from the Yoruba-speaking parts of Kogi and Kwara. No one had accused Tinubu of being pro-South. He has only being accused of pushing an ethnic agenda to the detriment of other tribes and regions, even in the South.
PoliticsRe: No Amount Of Rhetoric Can Erase OPL 245 Disputes - Atiku To AGF by AMINDA: 7:31am On Mar 27
Does the AGF think he can wish this away? Why come out to lie that a dispute has been resolved when it's easily verifiable that it has not? Tinubu can't govern Nigeria on propaganda and lies. Nigerians deserve accountability.
PoliticsRe: Salihu Tanko Yakasai Visits Atiku Abubakar by AMINDA: 7:28am On Mar 27
ChiefOloye:
This is nauseating. Who is he? Perhaps he has a connection with the OP and the owner of Nairaland to make him popular here for political gain.
His highest office was serving as an SA to Ganduje, and the OP might as well start giving us news about former SAs to the 36 Governors and over 100 former Governors.
Wake up and smell the coffee. Yesterday, it was Gawuna. Ganduje's men are leaving the APC in droves. That should tell you the current mindset of their principal. Who will now deliver Tinubu in Kano? Abba Kabir?
PoliticsRe: Salihu Tanko Yakasai Visits Atiku Abubakar by AMINDA: 7:21am On Mar 27
dgitrader:
After Buharis disasterous 8 years, coupled with his Fulani hegemony and failed agenda, The eyes of indigenous Nigerians are clear now. They know who the real problems of Nigeria are. Atiku is on a lost course. He should just go back to Dubai and enjoy his riches as usual.
Well, the North gave Tinubu 5.6m votes after he was resoundingly rejected in the South. In other words, the so-called "hausa fulani hegemony" made Tinubu president when he failed in 14 Southern states out of 17. Where is the arrogance coming from? Tinubu is still yet to consolidate support in the entire South. He camouflages it with defected governors but the pulse of the voting electorates are clearly not with him. Tinubu should immediately step aside and support Obi before it's too late.
PoliticsRe: Salihu Tanko Yakasai Visits Atiku Abubakar by AMINDA: 7:16am On Mar 27
Another Ganduje ally makes the switch. Apart from upsetting the balance of power and scuttling ambitions of hitherto loyal allies in Kano, what has Tinubu gained from poaching Abba Kabir? He didn't gain Kwankwaso and is clearly now losing Ganduje as well. At best, the APC campaign in Kano will be lacklustre. Without Ganduje's willing structure, Abba is a political lightweight. Another disaster-class from the master tragedist.
PoliticsRe: Saraki: Friendship With Wike Doesn’t Mean I Endorse Tinubu by AMINDA: 1:20am On Mar 27
Corner corner master. Will anyone beat you if you come out bold to say you support Tinubu? Why are people often ashamed to publicly admit that they support Tinubu even when it's obvious? You are friends with Wike whom Makinde told us from day one had a meeting with Tinubu where it was agreed he would "hold down" the party for the president, yet, it doesn't mean that you support Tinubu. Who's fooling who?
PoliticsRe: South Must Be Allowed To Complete Its 8 Years. I Will Not Contest In 2027- Sarak by AMINDA: 12:52am On Mar 27
seunmsg:
Obi is a member of ADC and he will contest the presidential primary election of the party. A lot of ADC members are even working towards an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket. So, how is it Tinubu’s fault that Obi preferred to contest on the platform of a coalition party? Why are you angry that Saraki took the right decision by supporting power to remain in south till 2031? What exactly are you angry about?
If Labour party was allowed to be a viable political party as it was in 2023, there would have neen no need for a coalition today. In trying to be crookedly clever, your man Friday has shot himself in the foot. He is now desperate and has been trying to do whatever it takes to also destroy the ADC. He cannot win in 2027 unless he is the sole candidate on the ballot. Thanks to Tinubu, the first, second and third runners-up from 2023 have aligned under one umbrella. This was not the outcome he envisaged.

PoliticsRe: South Must Be Allowed To Complete Its 8 Years. I Will Not Contest In 2027- Sarak by AMINDA: 8:45pm On Mar 26
Galactics:
But why must Atiku be contesting to be president in every election cycle? Since 1993 o. grin
Because it is his democratic right. Is that a crime?
PoliticsRe: South Must Be Allowed To Complete Its 8 Years. I Will Not Contest In 2027- Sarak by AMINDA: 8:32pm On Mar 26
Allowed? Obi was a Southerner, why did Tinubu disenfranchise him from the Labour party if he wanted a fellow Southerner to contest against him? Saraki has shamelessly become a Wike lackey that is hell-bent on making the party not to field a presidential candidate, despite having zoned its ticket to the South.
PoliticsRe: The Atiku Problem: The Man Blocking Peter Obi’s Path To Power by AMINDA: 4:34pm On Mar 26
lionshare:
Its because they know the truth ADC= ATIKU.
So if the "truth" is already known, why dwell on it? I thought Tinubu has abolished delegates system? There is no longer the excuse of dollarization. Whoever wants their candidate to emerge should organise and register enmass on the party's website in preparation for the direct primaries.
PoliticsRe: The Atiku Problem: The Man Blocking Peter Obi’s Path To Power by AMINDA: 2:28pm On Mar 26
Dumb. It's like saying Tinubu is blocking Obi's chances of winning the election by contesting. Atiku is an aspirant, just like Obi, Amaechi, Tinubu and other contestants are. He owes Obi nothing! Stop begging for the ticket to be served to you on a plate. It sounds pathetic.
PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu Probed As EFCC Links ‘Aisha Achimugu’s Forfeited $13m’ To Contractors by AMINDA: 11:21am On Mar 26
Tinubu will come for Sanwo-olu after his tenure as governor. His water carriers told us Sanwo-olu funded Atiku’s election in 2023. We wonder from what unlikely quarters Atiku’s funders will emanate from in 2027.
PoliticsRe: Sanwo-Olu Probed As EFCC Links ‘Aisha Achimugu’s Forfeited $13m’ To Contractors by AMINDA: 11:20am On Mar 26
Tinubu will come for Sanwo-olu after his tenure as governor.
PoliticsRe: Three Weeks After Joining APC, Dr. Umbugadu Dumps Party, Rejoins PDP by AMINDA: 11:15am On Mar 26
Like many other defectees, he was deceived and carried handicap by the APC who promised him senate ticket only for AA Sule to become interested in the ticket. He doesn't want to be one of those who will stay behind and work against the party. Seunmsg, food don done o.
PoliticsRe: The Decline Of PDP Is How APC Too Dies - Abimbola Adelakun by AMINDA: 10:29am On Mar 26
APC is already a walking corpse. It will be interred soon.
PoliticsRe: Fagbemi: Atiku’s Criticism Of OPL 245 Deal Driven By Self-Serving Interests by AMINDA: 7:53am On Mar 26
Ironic coming from a man serving a president who has awarded over 18 trillion naira worth of projects to a business partner. Oando by Wale Tinubu acquired NNPC retail in the first few weeks of Tinubu's presidency and became one of the most valuable companies in the country.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu A Courageous, Visionary Leader – Uba Sani by AMINDA: 5:25am On Mar 26
He said more flowery things about Elrufai and betrayed him on the first day of his ascension to power. Tinubu doesn’t believe you but he will use you nonetheless.
PoliticsRe: Gawuna’s Phone “not Reachable” As Tinubu Mounts Pressure To Stop His Defection by AMINDA: 10:22pm On Mar 25
Racoon:
All these theatrics is simply because the defection of Abba Yusuf to the APC have displaced him from the initial political calculation. Game on! Aminda is correct about his political predictions in Kano
I will eventually prove to be correct in all my postulations. Time is a gentleman! Tinubu's ill-advised decision to poach all governors and politicians to the APC out of fear, has inadvertently upset the power equation in almost all states and destroyed the APC. The cracks will soon show. In Benue state, SGF George Akume's men are leaving the APC in droves to other political parties.
PoliticsRe: Gawuna’s Phone “not Reachable” As Tinubu Mounts Pressure To Stop His Defection by AMINDA: 10:17pm On Mar 25
Lol. We will all learn politics together! Ganduje's men, feeling betrayed, are fast abandoning ship and joining Kwankwaso at the ADC, leaving Abba Kabir with the burden of delivering himself and Tinubu.

PoliticsRe: I Fought Abacha, President Tinubu Is Not Abacha - Reno by AMINDA: 2:00pm On Mar 25
Lol. Okay, Reno Omokri is also a member of NADECO? You fought Abacha and also fought Tinubu. Now you sing Tinubu's praises. If Abacha had lived long enough, you would have also sang his praises.
PoliticsRe: Kwankwaso Set To Join ADC Wednesday - The Whistler by AMINDA: 11:23am On Mar 25
Penguin2:
It won’t sweet Aminda though.

Kwankwaso’s entrant into ADC means Atiku’s chances are further diminished and the likelihood of an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket boosted.

Aminda doesn’t want to hear anything that has to do with Atiku not contesting.

But I hope he makes peace with it soonest.
I hope you have registered as an ADC member and have encouraged your people to do the same? There can only be direct primaries in the ADC or consensus. Power is not served on a plate.
PoliticsRe: National Convention: APC Reserving Forms For Those Already In Power – Jijiwa by AMINDA: 7:21am On Mar 25
The implosion that will greet the APC after this National Convention will be one for the history books. Tinubu envisaged that and quickly rushed to amend the electoral act to forestall mass exodus but that won't prevent anti-party.
PoliticsRe: Do You Think Bola Ahmed Tinubu Will Win Next Year's Presidential Election by AMINDA: 7:15am On Mar 25
aswani:
Atiku is an outcast in North Central and North West because he keeps putting himself up for elections and blocks the pathway for other Northerners.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has South West and South South.

Per destroying LP, that is nothing to do with him and more to do with the greed of those surrounding Peter Obi and their inability to want to share Obidients money.
You wish. Despite the North largely agreeing that power should head South in 2023, Atiku still managed to poll over 1m votes from the Northcentral. So Atiku is hated in the NW? Wishful thinking. Atiku won all Northwestern states except Zamfara and Jigawa. Tinubu only won the NW region overall because of the efforts of the likes of Elrufai (400k from Kaduna) and Ganduje (500k votes from Kano) and Atiku’s lacklustre performance in Kano. Fastforward to today, Tinubu has betrayed Elrufai, betrayed Ganduje (yes) and Kwankwaso is on his way to the ADC. The first, second and third runners-up from 2023 will be under one political umbrella. You can do the math. Tinubu does not have any concrete base outside of his Southwest and even that will be fragmented no matter what he does.

Isn't it a little conspicuous that ALL political parties, even Accord, suddenly developed leadership crisis during Tinubu's regime? Continue to bury your head in the sand but don't expect us to do the same.

PoliticsRe: David Ombugadu joins APC, declares interest in Nasarawa North Senate race by AMINDA: 7:03am On Mar 25
seunmsg:
Nasarawa has always been very dicey for APC. With this defection however, it’s now a one way traffic. APC will sweep Nasarawa in 2027. Welcome to APC Rt Hon. Davematics Ombugadu. If you can’t beat them, just join them. This is a very good move.
Update! Davematics have japada'd out of the APC after finding out he was carried handicap by the party. Will Nassarawa still be a one-way traffic? We are all learning politics together.

PoliticsRe: A'ibom City Boy Movement Begins Mobilization For Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno by AMINDA: 6:52am On Mar 25
mrvitalis:
That 700 million pounds Lagos Port Deal has reduced Tinubu support in Akwa ibom by 70%

The only reason Akwa ibomite forgave Eno for joining APC was ibom sea port promise

Now Akwa ibomite know a Yoruba man ask president would never allow then have a sea port willingly

Definitely an igbo mas president needs ibom deep see port even more than Akwa ibom man... So would definitely make sure it works that's the street sentiments

Tinubu really messed up with that port deal I swear
It will be far easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for Tinubu to win Akwa Ibom state but Tinubu's lackeys like Seunmsg from Ekiti will tell you Tinubu would win the state in a landslide.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria In Deeper Trouble Than When Tinubu Came – Baba-Ahmed by AMINDA: 6:45am On Mar 25
LordIsaac:
The "trouble" would go away if the North returns power!
Is Tinubu the candidate of the South? Did the South vote him? He only won in 4 SW states out of 17 Southern states. The North made him President. How is he performing?
PoliticsRe: Do You Think Bola Ahmed Tinubu Will Win Next Year's Presidential Election by AMINDA: 6:32am On Mar 25
DoTheNeedful:
Tinubu can lose only if Atiku is a presidential candidate and Obi is the vice. This theory is also dependent on whether Obidients would support the ticket. Any other scenario would easily return Tinubu as president.

The Northerners complaining about Tinubu are doing so because they want power back in the North. Historically, the core Northerners always get nervous the moment they are out of power. This is the main reason they are complaining about Tinubu. If you recall, Atiku still won the majority of Northern votes in 2023, even as Buhari (a Northerner) was just completing 8 years. If any other Southerner e.g Obi is made the presidential candidate of ADC, you would see how the Northerners would vote for Tinubu. Their anger towards Tinubu is not sincere.

On other hand, if Obi is not on the ballot of any major political party as a presidential or VP candidate, Obidients would sit the election out. They might not vote for Tinubu, but they will not vote the other tickets too. The Igbos, who represent a large chunk of Obidients, also strongly believe that it's the time of the East to be president. Most of them are not openly admitting it, but their body language is saying this loudly.

In conclusion, an Atiku/Obi combination can win in 2027. I do not see any other combination defeating Tinubu.
Gentle reminder that the South didn't vote Tinubu. He only won 4 Southwestern states out of 17 Southern states. The North made Tinubu president with 5.6m votes. Tinubu didn't even win in Lagos and Osun but you expected ALL Northerners to vote Tinubu in a landslide as if Atiku is an outcast. How many votes did Buhari get from the Southwest. Did they vote for him in a landslide? That's not what the data says. Tinubu only got such huge votes from the North because respected individuals like Elrufai pricked the conscience of Northerners and urged them to keep their word. How has Tinubu repaid Northerners and his most loudest 2023 campaign champion from the North? Time is a gentleman.

If it's really about the South and not Southwestern/Tinubu quest for power, he should have supported someone from the Southeast. Even after winning, he has proceeded to disenfranchise Obi by destroying the LP and even the PDP that already zoned its ticket to the South. Tinubu is not the preferred candidate of the South.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu’ll Win South-west By Landslide In 2027, Says Lawmaker by AMINDA: 2:17am On Mar 25
No, he won't. The Southwest and the Northcentral remains the most politically diverse region in the country. Tinubu will win the Southwest but it won't be in a landslide. Attempts to use force and intimidation to coerce voters in the region will only cost the president votes in other regions.

Soldiers? This is serious.

On the other matter, one has to be a bit paranoid to think the DSS would arrest someone because Mr Obi visited him.
Dey play na. Look at his slave chain insignia cap. It has now become a pass to do whatever you like in the country.
