madridguy:Compared to the snake oil merchants in government, those are saints with no history of conviction, not even an arraignment. Tinubu has the likes of Ibori, Faruk Lawan, Ganduje, Okowa, Yahaya Bello, and the latest signee who just got out of jail, Adamu Maina Waziri, in his corner. We know where the real structure of criminality resides. |

This one pain Agbadorians no be small. Atiku, Elrufai and co also have nothing but maximum respect for H.E Peter Obi. |
Lies. Turkish media widely reported the fall with a tone of mockery.
|
Op, there is more. It was more like a humiliation ritual. What's painful is that the president of Turkey, Erdoğan has this still images posted on his official handles. "He will hit the ground running" don hit ground. Na to run naim remain. I have since discovered that Tinubu's penchant for having sycophants singing the mandate song for him is borne out of low self-esteem. It also counts against him whenever he travels outside the country because his protocol team are probably too much in awe to guide and tutor him appropriately. He's treated as the proverbial king who had no clothes on but drew admirations from all his subjects as he walked majestically through the city. Who will be the little boy that will tell him the truth?
|
Tinubu might still end up never posting Omokri to any country until the end of his tenure.
|
RichBoy247:As compared to this?
|
Akpabio thinks he's showing support for the president by being a puppet but he's only widening the trust deficit between the government and the citizens. Governance should be built on trust, sincerity and accountability, not sycophancy. Nigeria is not a banana republic. At least not yet. |
We know Akpabio has been captured by the President but he shouldn't run the Senate unilaterally like it's his personal inheritance. Taiwo Oyedele himself did not dispute the claims. The house of representatives have observed the discrepancies and are currently investigating. Other senators like Ndume also beg to differ. He cannot come out and say no discrepancies without the Senate carrying out its own investigation. He may think he’s showing support for Tinubu but he's only widening the trust deficit between the government and the citizenry. |
Like Emefiele, like Malami. In the end, EFCC will fail to get a conviction. We know it was largely vendetta and media trials. They have little to no evidence. |
Vixlot:Sounds like APC. |
Yes. Obi has no differences with the aforementioned names. Together, they are building up a coalition that will send Tinubu back to Iragbiji. Be there! None of these men have been tried for corruption. In contrast, Tinubu has the likes of Ibori, Faruk Lawan, Ganduje, Okowa, Yahaya Bello, and the latest signee who just got out of jail, Adamu Maina Waziri, in his corner. |
Zehdbe:Leave the politically naïve ones. Tinubu got 5.6m votes from the North. Atiku got virtually all his 7m votes from the North. Kwankwaso got 1.4m votes from Kano. Even Obi himself got circa 2m votes from the North (NC/Middlebelt). Obi got over 90% of votes cast in the South, how much did it amount to? Politics is a game of numbers, not emotions. Tinubu got more votes from Northerners than he got from the South to become president. That was because he had earlier played his politics right. They can keep quarrelling with numbers but data is stubborn. |
This is what Tinubu has enabled in Rivers. So long as he wins the state in 2027, that's all that matters to him. Even the dignity and pride of the Rivers people is not his concern. |
Another white elephant project in Uyo? What happened to the " international standard" hospital Akpabio constructed that remains unequipped till today? Shouldn't this money be going towards equipping it instead? https://punchng.com/monument-of-waste-n41bn-akwa-ibom-specialist-hospital-with-rotting-facilities/

It's not that deep. Recuse yourself and move on. Some would rather prefer to sit on the fence or play the activist to keep getting that NGO money and we understand, but real change can only be delivered by those who roll up their sleeves and walk the talk. A critic is someone who knows the way but can't drive the car. At least tomorrow, you wouldn't say you weren't given the opportunity to help make Nigeria better with your "bright ideas." |
RichDad1:It rather seems like the biggest fear and disappointment is coming from the Agbadorian camp instead. The coalition is here to stay no matter the outcome of the primaries. Go tell Tinubu that his destruction of the LP has backfired. He should prepare for the biggest political battle of his life come 2027. |
Bellfun:What damage? You sound disappointed and afraid. We know you're a closet snake oil merchant pretending to be Obidient. Obi's message is directed at you and your likes. |
Way to go! Peter Obi is done playing politics just to prove a point or get pyrrhic victories. If you must play at all, then play to win. You can't repeat one strategy multiple times and expect a different outcome. No one wins presidential elections in Nigeria without a handshake across the Niger. NO ONE. |

We? This snake oil merchant must really believe he's one of the team. |
Putindbutt:Sanwo-olu also attempted to do the same. You all said he even funded Atiku so as to break free from the chains. You also said that was why Tinubu lost Lagos. |
Look what the snake oil merchants are mentioning and think they are on to something. "Contracts for alum and water treatments"? Did Abba Kabir fund his own election in 2019 and 2023? He was no different from a cobbler when Kwankwaso brought him from the gutters and made him governor. Even Tinubu compensated Wike with virtually the whole lands in the FCT for rigging Rivers state.
|
I know Agbadorians may get the wrong notion that they now own the APC but that's a very wrong notion indeed. After Tinubu is voted out in 2027, the remnants of other snake oil merchants will be purged out and true omoluabis and other founding members of the party will finally take possession of the party. There is already strategic positioning taking place. |
bolaayenimo:David Umahi also thought the same until he was taught a lesson by FCT workers. He now knows better. Last last, Wike will fold. |
9jatriot:He made money before politics and has continued to be a billionaire after that. He can afford to never have to work again. What was Tinubu's source of wealth before politics again? Don't bring that snake oil narrative of being a Mobil Accountant here. We all have the info. |
Yes, that's the strategy. Obi won the FCT. It only makes sense for a popular ADC member to lead the campaign in the regions where they are most popular. In the same way Obi will not be expected to lead the campaign for ADC candidates in the core North. Besides, Atiku will not be physically campaigning for any candidate in a by-election. Make of this what you will. |
vincenteger:How has APC won? Why are you counting your victory before the battle is fought? Has Tinubu won Kano? |
But you swore you were saying the truth then and challenged Tinubu to take you to court, he didn't. You also challenged Nigerians to go verify and some did and agreed with you. You now want Nigerians to forget what you said because you've been offered an appointment? That's not the way it works. |
Bizibi:Yes. Everything is politics and politics is everything. |
seunmsg:Or you should. Aregbesola was the first to introduce school feeding in Nigeria to incentivise enrollment and education. This was later copied by Elrufai in Kaduna and then by Buhari at the national level. These are leaders that recognised a problem and actually did something to address it through policy. That is how nations become great. That was why Awolowo's Education for All was a huge success. The whole world saw how Peller struggled to get a simple acknowledgement from Ishowspeed, the only missing link was education. He would have done better with a little of it. Money can not replace that. The youths are taking the likes of Peller now as role models because he's making money. The adults in the room should not sleep on this. |
seunmsg:As expected. You can choose to see this as an attack or a feedback. This doesn't mean other regions are excluded or without their own peculiarities and vices but it's the bitter truth. The Southwest used to be the most educated region in the country. It is gradually declining. Ishowspped has a diploma. In the U.S, that's the average rate of education for people to still find good jobs and the quality is not the same. This news is in the politics section, not the celebrity section. It will be addressed from the perspective of policy. End. |
