The end justifies the means. What is Abba bringing to the APC in real terms when he will be hopinh to be delivered by Ganduje? This coup simply means Kwankwasiyya is now fully in charge of Kano. Of course. That was the whole point of the defection of all governors in the first place. Neutralise the competition/threats that APC aspirants would have posed with federal backing. Perhaps that's how he's able to afford the 250 billion naira sign-on fees for governors. If Tinubu denies it as untrue, let him go ahead to sue Elrufai. Elrufai made this statement months ago and dared the government to sue him. They haven't. Tinubu's ruling Nigeria like a monarch. Kwankwaso is a fulani man and Fulanis in Kano are not that many. Kwankwaso has been relying on Kanuris to keep his Kwankwassiyya movement going but now that there is a split, Kanuris with Hausas will pitch their tent with Abba.

You are wrong. Elrufai only paid compensation to victims of 2011 post-election violence as recommended by two independent panels. The Martin Luther Agwai (a Retired General from Southern Kaduna) panel set up by the state before his becoming governor and the panel set up by the federal government to investigate the matter. Bring any evidence that Elrufai paid bandits. It's on record that he took a hard stance against negotiations and even payment of ransoms. This escalated the kidnappings more in Kaduna because neighbouring States like Zamfara were negotiating with the bandits then. Just as negotiations in Katsina has created kidnappings in Kano, Kogi and Kwara today. The bandits simply migrate temporarily and continue their "trade".
