26th July 2006 a day I will never forget for the sorrow that came that day was not a joyful one, it was a day a comet blazed out of the orbit, a day five children cried of grief and a thousand adults felt and shared their pains, I could still remember when Dr ogunbiyi of Nakowa specialist hospital came into the house around 3 am and knocked I was surprised to see him not knowing what he was doing at our house by midnight, he came in with Aunty uwani and she was crying, Mary and Aunty Amina joined in the crying spree while my dad was told about the lost of his wife and friend I couldn't believe what I was hearing at that time my dad went out to meet his neighbor Baban auwalu and told him about the news,I could remember shouting at him saying that's not possible because I just saw her four hours ago I was stopping from following the good Dr thinking it was just a dream I couldn't believe it until around 10am I saw a blue station wagon owned by Mallam Ari with my dad and Uncle mabs (yadodo) holding my mum in a white shroud, My dad saw me standing With Ba Musa Zannah and fresh tears rolled down his tears that was when I felt that change has really come!!!I and my brothers became the center of attention as everyone was just pointing at us saying and I qoute (GA Yaranta Nan) I could remember Uncle Sokoto (Ya massa Zannah) coming in the house he saw me sitting around the mini round about and the first question he asked me was (Aminu kachi a bin chi? I said no he said go to my palour Yakura tayi Dan wake!) He was one of her favorite person as he called her Chairlady and she always replies with "Turakin karakara " eveyone is so fond of her I remember her calling Uncle Yakubu mushen kifi,uncle hamza as takelberry, and she was called Fasbag by  close friends ie:aunty amita aunty niema Mummy kundus,and a host of others I haven't mentioned.
 I still can't find one living soul that will talk evil of her as she was a mother friend and sister to all, her Favorite sura from the Holy Quran was Surutul Rahman (the mercyful) after every prayer I could remember her telling me to say (Allah ya rufa mana asiri, Allah ya Bude ma daddinku hanya,Allah ya Baku ilimi) she was a strict person who knows her eggs well,  she doesn't hesitate in correcting anyone, she does not take below per results kindly she was an educationist to the core.Did I forget to brag that she's a lawyer? Yes I did she has an LLB in law, A Bsc in English 2 diplomas  in law Two from the University of maiduguri and 1 from Bocolis and one from the Nigerian law school bwari abuja am proud to Say that my  Mother was a legend.She was buried on a cloudy Wednesday around 2pm the ceremony was attended by almost eveyone in maiduguri and its environs notably the whole government of Borno State headed by Sen sherrif, Governor of yobe state Abba Ibrahim, The current president of the federal republic of Nigeria Gen Buhari, it was a day we will never forget as It's a day My heroine answered the call of the Most High All I can say is that May you continue to rest in perfect peace you shall be loved forever!!!
