macof: Being a Yoruba king is simply that "BEING A YORUBA KING"
Now who is a Yoruba king?
A position tagged "Oba" another name attached to this position is "Igbakeji Orisha"
Second to the Gods, not second to Allah.

Allah has no business in Yoruba matters, he doesn't exist in our culture because we don't know him here. If a man is a Muslim he can't be the representative of the Yoruba culture and traditions.
He is a propagator of Arab principles.

A Yoruba king is the representative of the ancestors.
Our ancestors weren't muslims, they were pagans.

So if the man can't kill his belief in Arab deities he should probably go to Saudi Arabia to be Emir

We had better not have an Oba than one that brings shame upon the Obaship system
I didn't see this before....

Gone are those days; days of darkness; when they all worship idols.

Islam have arrived
Christianity have also

Do the Oba rule over the traditionalist alone?
Is yoruba land now occupied by traditionalist alone?

Co-existence with other religious believers is mandatory as they are also true off-spring of Yoruba land and for the fact that they accepted reality of belief and worship (worshiping the true God) doesn't mean they should be deprived their entitlement.

RESPONSE TO ALL CRITICISM

The Salat was performed on him because he his a muslim by virtue of practice as he completed the 5 pillars of Islam to the best of his ability.

The hitch free
history that was recorded on that day which I don't think
have
ever occurred anywhere in yoruba land won't have been
possible without Allah and the matured role played by the Chief Imam Jamiu,
HE. Shaykh Yahya O. Oshoala As-Samadaani which makes the
Olosugbos not to putting up a
fight. Do you all think Rome was built in a day? It can't be
done at once.

And mind you even if the solat wasn't
observed on him while the pagans performed their ritual
rites on him, Allah will raise him up as a muslim and
reward him as a muslim; and if an unbeliever dies and buried
according to Islamic rites, that doesn't stop Allah from
raising him as a dis-believer and rewarding him
accordingly.

macof: Why should an Obas body be taken to a mosque?? It is Oba and not Emir??
Ikorodu is no Muslim emirate where Yoruba traditions aren't regarded.
The Oba is a representative of the kingdom not Islam.
This is a direct insult to the throne and I urge the afobaje to strictly punish the late Oba by suspending his house from Obaship till further notice
His corpse was taken to a mosque because he his a muslim and religion doesn't forbids anyone from being an Oba/King.

Also he his a king of 'religious sect' (Islam, Christianity and Traditionalist). Not for traditionalist alone.

And likewise Ikorodu is not a traditional empire, is it?

If you can't dispute all that I've written above therefore, your last statement regarding punishment has no basis.

macof: What a pity sad
What were the Afobaje chiefs doing when they let this sacrilege?
They aren't Afobaje Chiefs but White Cap Chiefs of Lagos representing the Oba of Lagos. These are the muslims among them as they were caught unaware. So they didn't disrespect our sacred mosque.

The names of muslims in Ikorodu will be written in Gold in the book of history as they successfully perform solat on the corpse of their late king, HRM Oba (Dr) Salaudeen Afolabi Adekoya Oyefusi Oguntade II CON., Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

The Solat was observed at the gigantic Oriwu Central Mosque, located at Ikorodu garage round-about, Ikorodu Division led by His Eminence Shaykh-el-Islam Yahya Olorunosebi Oshoala Ajagbemokeferi As-Samadaani (RTA) who stood tall on his claim boldly and not being a coward that Islamic rites will be performed on the Islamic King.

The Islamic rites who done amidst red eye and desperation in the eye of the pagans (Olosugbos) who were expecting to have the corpse without any interference as it has been a norm of having the sole right on the corpse of a king.

The Chief Imam rinsed the king's corpse with zam-zam water after which he delivered his speech, followed by that of the queen. Then he led the solat with all that are present.

In the mosque were; Ambassador Olori Muyibat Olayinka Oyefusi, the glamorous queen of our time who delivered a darling tribute to her husband, all his children and some grand-children, Aremo Oba Ogunsanya, Chief BOS Benson; Asiwaju of Ikorodu, Chief Kabiru Sotobi, Odofin of Ikorodu, other chiefs, Baales, the Rademo families and eminent personalities too numerous to mention.

WARNING TO ALL THOSE WHO THINK
TRADITION CAN BE RIDICLED IN IKORODU
PLEASE DONT OVERSTEP YOUR BOUNDARY!!!!!!!
!!! In every society, even in the western world like
britain , America , brazil and china, they have their
do and dont, which simply means every society has it
own law, so am using this medium to plead to
everybody staying or working within and around
ikorodu to respect theirselves and the tradition of
ikorodu land, because the annoucement beign made
by the authority in charge of ikorodu, which has to
do with the burial rite for our late OBA S A A
Oyefusi, and i believe it has the consent of
government, by the virtue of traditional and
chieftancy law, so lets all obey what ever we are
instructed to do by the owner of the land in
respective of our status whether we are indigeine or
non indigeine, it not a matter of indigeinship alone,
we are all equal before the law, so lets be attentive
and observant olodunmare ama soowa, amooo

That's a blatant lie, it is not so.

Another announcement was made this night that nobody should be outside when it is 9:00pm because the Eluku will cry starting from that time.

Any further development will be made available to you all to safeguard all and sundry from this pagan practice.

Firstly, I am a committed muslim. One of the sons of the last Chief Imam of Ikorodu Division. So I can't be in their midst.

Secondly, it will be very difficult to take a shot because if you are caught doing so; a severe curse will be showered on the fellow with horns and potent diabolical power (Gbooun gboun, ase, afose, to daju).

A related occurrence was relayed to me that took place today at Etunrenren area involving a woman trying to snap pictures secretly but was detected. Behold, it is been said that it was rain of curses on her.

Certain indigenous family of Ikorodu are permitted to witness this.

Eluku here in Ikorodu is characterized by testing the potency of charms among themselves. Charms that have been prepared for long or still recent but haven't seen the light of the day or stand the test of potency are being used by individuals on themselves. That is what is been meant by 'man enough'.
CultureRestriction Of Movement In Ikorodu Tomorrow Due To Ritual Rites (eluku & Oro). by amodu(op): 10:03pm On Aug 06, 2014
There will be restriction of movement in Ikorodu tomorrow(7, Aug
2014) in respect of the late Ayangburen of Ikorodu.

The famous Eluku Idol will be on parade for the first time after over 10 years an embargo was placed on it by the late king; A non-indigene is permitted to witness it, so stay clear by staying indoor. Also, there will be Oroo to which doesn't involve the female sex.

The announcement was made late this night by the popular vigilante group known as 'Onyabo' led by the leader Chief Bomabata. Indigene alike who are not man enough should also stay clear.

Although, it's not all over Ikorodu Division,
but some major areas in Ikorodu Central are the
focus areas... Areas like (Itunmaja, Ota-Ona, Ejina,
Aga, Obun-Ale, Ita-elewa, Ladega, Lowa, Ojogbe, Ojubode, Garage Round-About and co...

From 8am-12pm... Someone can move around from
12pm-6pm BUT one should just make sure He/She is
back in his/her home at exactly 6pm... MY ADVICE:
If you don't have any important mission tomorrow,
STAY AT HOME... Ikorodu o ni baje o!
