Dear friends don't be overwhelmed by these salaries and wages you see our dear footballers and other entertainers earning over above some educated desk job professionals. Education is still good, don't give up on school.

Everyone cannot be an entertainer but everyone should be educated and schooled. When you think of what this money Ramsey will earn in the next 4 years can do for you rather than what you yourself will spend in the next 4 years in a Nigerian uni you may be dismayed, discouraged, angry and irritated. But it will end in praise.

If you join football or music without passion but just for the money you won't go far, so also if you give up on school and your destiny was for you to be the doctor, lawyer, journalist, surveyor, accountant, pharmacist, engineer or sociologist that would bring about a massive positive change in the world not just Nigeria and you opted instead to go make money in entertainment or yahoo plus or oloshoism you would not only have failed yourself but generations and true loved ones.

Please let's support school, skill and legit work. May Ramsey do Juventus good and deserve his wages

This guy at his age can retire in say 8yrs, go for a 3 year degree and get at least way above minimum wage job.
There are office jobs advertised in western countries and the requirement is "high school diploma". They train you on the job.
I laugh in Swahili when I hear 4 years Nigerian degree. I dropped out in my final year, no carry overs oooo. Lecturer told me I won't graduate I told him to keep the certificate...

Will gladly tell the mother supporting the daughter that I am ready to switch roles.
She pays her fees herself, give me pocket money or upkeep as it were and I'll gladly wash plates... then we'll see which is easier...

There is good news and bad news.
The good news is that you have a child, which most people spend millions to get. Been through ivf both in naija and outside.

The bad news is, it's obvious you are poor. If you were Adenuga's daughter or Alakija's daughter, you husband would not dare.he would take your last name sef.

My in-laws told me to my face before I married my wife that they want to cut off the relationship without hurting me, cos they want the best for their daughter. She stayed with me. In fact she graduated and started working before I got admitted to the university.

I concur with everything she said. As it happened to me too.
My dad came back to Nigeria from the UK in the early 70s after studying and working in the UK for 16years, he worked with John Holt for a few years, with the money he came back with and money he made while working, he and his friends that studied together decided to buy lands and build houses close to each other.
My dad bought one acre of land in surulere, Ijesha to be precise. The Lagos state government took the land as they built ijesha grammar school (the school is still there till date).
My dad took the Lagos state government to court, he won, and he was offered one acre of land in the current magodo in 1976.
He said then "in 100 years magodo would still be a village, I would never accept it". My mum tried her best, but he wouldn't listen
Was going through his stuff few months ago and I saw all the court documents, land documents..

A country that is war torn, and depends on donor funds. Se this country no go fold up at this rate
