You made a very good point, but the question is: Where was Thiago when Mendy, a keeper kept bailing Zouma.

Zouma runs the defensive errands, charging players with marking, attack, risk long passes and all that, while Thiago who's suppose to be the last man leader keep messing up by leaving Mendy to bail Zouma. Check the likes of VVd, Puyol, Kompany, Terry and Ramos. They have similar roles with Thiago- cordinate and lead as a last man, you'll have them to contend with before meeting keepers. Can same be said of Thiago?

The thing is, we just want some players to do well, so we hype them when they do. Zouma to me, takes more percentage of the work in that central defense.

On the bolded Zouma was caught out of position when the rest of the defense were maintaining a line, he made a sloppy pass the distance between him and Thiago was wide and Mendy was the closest man, how do you expect Silva to come to his rescue knowing that he lacked the pace and he wasn't close enough?

Maybe it's just me, I feel Zouma has improved massively, more confidence, long pass improvement and now does a clean-dirty work.

Let's not talk about his fastness, agility and pressure he mounts when marking. I think he's being judged with his past fvckeries. I rate him high.

Thiago won't do well in this current Chelsea squad without being paired with Zouma. He's slow, just the experience.

I rate Zouma highly as the last of a dying breed of atypical defenders who will throw bodies on the line but based on today's he was not his usual self, he was targeted and had Mendy not bailed him out twice by rushing out to deny the Burnley attacker space we would have had a repeat of Southampton

Zouma committed blunders let not his goal deceive us, he was targeted all through by Burnley thank goodness for Mendy and Thiago Silva his errors would've proved costly if he were paired with Rudiger or Christensen and Kepa in goal

I have just had an emergency security meeting with heads of various security agencies in the state. This is to assess the situation in the state. Over the last few days, I had earlier met with the traditional rulers, opinion leaders, members of the student community, and many other stakeholders in the state.

Our observation is that what has happened so far today was not a protest. It cannot be defended under any guise.

It was a pure act of criminality. Some persons are hiding under the nationwide tension to commit crimes.

The government has a duty to protect law abiding citizens and their properties.

Lives are being threatened. Businesses are being looted. Public properties have been targeted. This is unacceptable. It is not who we are.

To curb these acts of criminalities, I hereby declare a 24-hour curfew in Ilorin metropolis from midnight today October 23rd, 2020. This is in line with Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Public Order Act Chapter 382 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004.

People are urged to stay indoors in compliance with this curfew. This will be reviewed as we watch developments.

While the curfew is on, security forces have been placed on the alert to maintain strict compliance. I urge citizens to comply by this declaration which is meant to protect lives and properties.

Finally, we apologise to our people and businesses that have been badly hurt. I urge them to be calm while we stop the criminality now.
