Well, PDP left us with 5000mw, and with a transmission system in need of fixing. (Which is why GEJ privatized the power sector...better to leave it in the hands of people who won't tolerate any bad thing in keeping the lights on..and who are ready to invest).

At the same time Nigeria needs 12000mw to get 24 hours light supply.We have 5000MW. That is not enough to guarantee everyone 24 hours light supply. At best 10 hours....or less.

Meanwhile...there is the matter of the obsolete transmission system which needs fixing badly, and which is at least 30 years out of date.

And then there is generation issues. It takes at least two years maximum to build a new power station. Even if Buhari commenced construction on July 1 2015 on three new power stations...and a hydroelectric dam (and it takes a long time to design such things to specification),.....they would still be under construction by now.

So blaming APC does not work in this case.
