it happened to me too. scan said girl though i was having this strong feelings that the baby is a boy and i kept telling my dh who was seriously preparing to welcome his "princess". when i gave birth it turned out to be a boy.

Waoh, he didn't want you to know his gender, he preferred to surprise you. What a smart baby!

Amtaken, the scan thing get as e be, ds was always hyperactive anytime i deciee to check his sex, u will see my tummy shaking vigorously. about 3-4 scans couldn't see his sex.. So i just got unisex things and kept all the things dd used so as tobe on the safe side

Thanks dear. Why not go for 4D? At least the features are clearer. You can also shop for unisex things for now. Afterall the baby doesn't need too many things for the first few months. Besides, after the baby comes, you would get some gifts and it would help streamline what you would need to buy later since u would have known the sex by then. You can buy what is absolutely necessary for a start and stick to unisex.

No idea, She kept saying all the time she did scan the man told her male! She used only one hospital so am guessing the same person did all the scan. Are you doubting yours? You could try scanning elsewhere.

Yes. 3 scan results revealed that am gonna have a girl but I have a very strong feeling that the baby is a boy. I wanna know for sure before shopping for baby things.

It happened to me. 2nd pregnancy. 1st was a boy so I was hoping 2nd wld be a girl so I cld close shop. Scan 'said' boy.I was so downcast. There and then I began to reconsider conceiving a 3rd time much to DH's delight. Well, it turned out to be girl. Immediately after the baby came out and the nurse put her close to my face and asked 'madam wetin u born?', without even looking I said boy. 'madam!', she screamed. Then I looked well. It was a girl. Did only one scan then though to detect d sex@23 weeks. Others I did were at the hospital I did ANC and dem no dey tell person sex for there.

It also happened to a friend. She did 2 at 2 different places and was told the samething-girl. She traveled to the US to have her baby and during a routine check up, a 4D scan was done. She said she was so shocked when she saw the genitals were that of aboy that she told the doctor it wasn't her baby. She had done only 2D back here. Didn't know about 3D or 4D before she travelled.

My twins @ 5mths et al. Older daughter clocked 5 on Sunday. #threadcuties

Very possible! My neighbour was told she was having a girl but the baby turned out being a boy! Sadly she has shopped for all things pink! And the lil guy ended up getting dressed as a girl for the first week of his birth! My take is the sonogram person made an error! Though some say it was a supernatural event, doubt it though! (Strange coming from someone that believes in miracles ) cos the first swimmer that gets to the egg seals the gender.

I heard that once some of them see 3 lines they will conclude that the baby is a girl....

Yes, it happened to a friend. The scan showed boy but thank God she bought unisex things because she ended up having a girl. Some people who do scan are not professional sonographers, so they might interpret the sex wrongly
