I keep asking why is it that most Yoruba men don't value their women. They always look down on their women just like the African American man looking down on their ladies to marry whites .

Similarly, the Imo State University (presently Abia State university after state division) was the first state owned university in Nigeria. Things like this is what is obtainable when forward-thinking and patriotic leaders like Sam Mbakwe are at the helm of affairs.

I totally agree with Adaure4ever, with the right leadership, right cooperation and coordination at the state and regional level, no region in Nigeria really needs the FG to progress. But a constant flow of bad leaders is what is responsible for the mess we have today across Nigeria. The problem is even further complicated by the fact that the useless leaders have somehow been able to successfully brainwash the people and divert the blame of their failures to FG or 'other tribes.'

IKWERRE BINI ORIGIN AND THE POSITION OF THE BINI KINGDOM

One among two Ikwerre representation is the Bini origin.

Who is Akalaka?

The Bini Kingdom in many occasions rejected the Ikwerre Bini root adding that Akalaka is an Igbo man, the late Oba of Benin stated clearly that there is no record showing that Akalaka migrated from Bini and however kicked against our Bini claim.
Record shows that the Uhrobo, Isoko and Itsekiri were actually the tribes that migrated from Bini down to the Delta where they settled.

The Ijaw were also influenced by the Bini empire but the original Ijaw history maintained that the Ijaw did not come from anywhere but they originated from the Niger Delta which is the best history so far, does it translates that others who claims Bini migration are strangers in their land? Yes, that is exactly what it's connotes.
Does it mean that some Ijaws are right whenever they lay claims to the entire Port Harcourt?

The Bini Kingdom have requested for an evidence of the Ikwerre Bini origin uptil now we have not been able to prove it, no Bini words in Ikwerre language, not even a Bini name.
The Ochichi we claim was our original name is not a Bini name.
You don't wait for anyone to tell you that Uhrobo, Itsekiri and Isoko are all from Bini.
The Bini empire influence is felt in Kalabari Kingdom but the Kalabaris don't deny being Ijaw.
The fact that Okrika is in Rivers State does not mean they are not IJAW because they are not from Bayelsa.
Opobo is mix of Igbo and Ijaw but archaeological evidence has it that the people are Ijaw but are classified as Igbani due to the mixture of Igbo blood and the Ijaw blood.

200million x 5 states=1 Billion per month
b)50million per month by the 15 senators in South East.
50million x 15= 750million per month
c) 10million per month by the 30
Federal house of reps from South East.
10millionx 30= 300million per month.

NOW ADD THEM UP TOGETHER= 1 Billion plus 750million plus 300million= 2 billion,50million naira.

Then if SEDC realise approximately 2 billion per month, multiply it by 12month= 24billion naira.
Multiply the yearly 24billion naira by 10years = 240Billion naira.
Thats means that 240billion naira will be in South East Development Cooperation(SEDC) account in just a span of 5years upon establishment.

- With 240billion invested in South East, will it not develop the Geopolitical zone the more, make it a hot investment zone and attract Igbo business men back.

- 1. If Akwa Ibom state completes its seaport, SEDC can build a Light Rail project from Aba to The seaport in Akwa Ibom, in order to boost up a close importation and revive south east economy.

Police corporal, Robert Ugwanyi, pictured, was last week stoned to death for killing a commercial motorcyclist identified as Festus Onah in Nsukka community in Enugu state.

Ugwuanyi and some of his colleagues had gone to Nsukka Local Government Council to compel some street traders to relocate to the newly completed Building Materials Market in the area when an argument ensued between the officers and the traders who refused relocation.
Ugwuanyi then fired a shot which hit Onah who was just walking out of a restaurant where he had gone to eat. The traders became very angry and started to stone Ugwuanyi. When he was rushed to the hospital, doctors confirmed him dead.
