But if the truth must be said, Niger Delta youths are damn to lazy, it is the effects of our oyel. They have caught up with the Dutch disease, a peculiar disease like Stephen Johnson. Give them scholarship, they will sell them, give them admission they will be the highest cultist and capone in school. They have motherlands in various cults, PH is Vikings motherland, benin city is aiye or birds motherland. I don’t want to talk about DEY WELL, DEY GBAM, ICELANDERS, GREENLANDERS OR whatever idiotic nomenclature they might ascribe to themselves. I lived in warri, okere road for that matter near post office, come and see how these niger delta guys loaf around. They burst pipelines and use the money for women and booze. Their women...oh luscious and wayward, that is the key word. This isn’t a smear campaign but that is a fact. 90% of them are loafers and layer about. From Effurun to Patani to D Line then to diobu and creeks. The only few ones that have semblance of sanity are the anioma ones and the calabar uyo axis. Have you ever wondered why political thuggery is so high in that region, even their fathers mostly are lazy especially the Ijaws. I am so sorry about this but the truth must be told. Oh what about their sexy black ladies...ask benin girl what she wants to be in future... she will say I WANT TO GO TO ITALY! These are facts! They drink local kiakai as if na water...no wonder it is called sapele water next thing is to do omila( for those that know what that means) what about the benin boys that harass people via benin by pass. Well, niger delta youths are nothing I mean absolutely nothing to write about. 90% are lazy. Take this or leave it, i have said the fact from what i have seen . Don’t tackle me because you will buckle up or bottle up what did lazy ijaw and ikwerre do with abandoned property? to show you how lazy their fathers was

Here are 7 interesting facts about ancient Igboland: Olaudah Equiano (Olauda Ikwuano) a free slave who wrote on his experiences as a slave and supported the British movement to end slave trade, is from the Igbo (Eboe) tribe. The Igbos invented a calendar called “Iguafo Igbo” (Igbo Calendar) so as to be aware of days and years. This calendar has four market days namely; Eke, Afor, Nkwo and Orie. These days make a week. In the Igbo calendar, four days make a week, seven weeks make one month, and thirteen months make a year. The Igbos had, and still have a “savings and loans” system called “Isusu” which means “small small”. This invention was/is also being practiced in the Caribbean Island where it is known as “Susu” According to everculture.com, the traditional Igbo religion reverences Ala or Ana; the earth goddess. Traditionally they also worship other male and female deities, spirits and ancestors. They believe that these gods protect the living. The traditional Igbo seek oracles so as to know the will of the gods. The deity Ala/Ana captures the political and religious aspects of the Igbo society by blending space, custom, and ethics (Omenala). In the Igbo religious practice, there are two different kinds of priests; the hereditary lineage priests and the priest chosen by the gods. Ofo is a symbol of authority, truth and justice and priests empowered with this are able to interpret the will of the gods. The gods favour devotees and punish offenders. The unborn, the living and the dead are part of a continuum. Ancestors who are enshrined are those who lived appealing lives and died in a manner accepted by the Igbo society. It is believed that these ancestors continue their lives in the world of the dead; a place that mirrors the world of the living. Tribute is paid to the ancestors through sacrifice offering. Children who die and come back again are called Ogbanje in the Igbo culture. It is believed that these children come back through the same mother time and time again. Ogbanjes are believed to be spirits, who come into the world, but because of a promise made with their spirit peers, they have to go back; as a result they do not stay long in the world. When a woman keeps losing her newborn, her husband will try to find out if it is an ogbanje child that is coming and going. A distinctive mark is put on the corpse so as to know if the child comes back again. |

oilsuop:There are ten sovereign nations in the world with a population less than 70 thousand people apart from those who are semi independent overseas territories of bigger nations. Also, there are numerous categories of nations, Barbados for instance is less than 300 thousand with per capita income two times the global average, Botswana is landlocked with almost two times the average per capita income on the globe. So a nation can be small and great, Liecheistein is less than 40 thousand but is the richest German speaking country on a per capita basis while Monaco of a similar population is a monarchy under Prince Albert. All are well run nations that are very successful. So, what we need in Nigeria is to break up the country, there is no town without a GDP, no town that is not sending one thing or the other outside while receiving imports. Like a family, get yourself organised, tax yourselves to build roads, hospitals and schools for your children, raise the quality of life and living standard, with seriousness, things will start to get better as more and more hands are joined together. What you need is a guarantee from your neighbours that they will not hamper you in any way, the people on the coast will not tariff your imports while the people to the North will not tariff what is coming from their direction too. It must be noted that Mali, Niger, Chad and etc have been going on without this guarantee for years while the income from the ports are embezzled by those taking them to the disadvantage of their citizens. Customs staff are customarily millionaires, even billionaires atimes in Nigeria. So if the issue of ta-riffing goods can be removed, all groups should be happy to stay on their own. No issue of nomadic herdsmen again as all groups will have their armies, police or militia to take care of that angle. For instance, the Bariba, Yoruba and etc used to employ the Bororo to care for their cattle in the past and there was decorum. The two groups had interest in both the cattle and the farm lands. There was food security and people were not afraid of investing in farming because gun wielding cattle rearers would bankrupt them when the farm is used as cattle feed by the nomads. So no matter how small the population of a group, they can, like a family, stand on their own and solve their problems, the only problem will be that they will not be able to achieve very great things. For instance, Ethiopia is a poor country on a per capita basis but they can skim some capital off their GDP to build a space observatory station worth millions of dollars. A nation of 20 thousand people will not be able to afford that. However, you may not be able to afford expensive and bold projects if you have a small population of workers but you will still be able to cater for yourselves while the people with a huge population have most of the adventure, sponsoring research and etc. |
