PoliticsHow Nigerian Government is Showing dedication at ECOWAS trans sahara road by AmuDimpka(op): 5:50am On Oct 15, 2016
Trans Saharan routes which traverse Algeria, Tunisia, Chad, Nigeria, Niger and Mali.

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola who spoke Monday at the 65th session of the Trans Saharan Road Liaison Committee, in Abuja stated said President Muhammadu Buhari is committed and that future road projects in the country would be upgraded to double-lanes.
He stated that the country had so far made significant development, including the 127.70km Lagos-Ibadan and the 50km Oyo-Ogbomosho.
He said: “The efforts of the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari are fully committed to the dualisation of the entire section of the Trans Saharan route in Nigeria

“The 65th session of the Trans Sahara Road Liaison Committee further offers member countries the opportunity to strengthen the existing bilateral relations and provide an avenue to assess the extent of work that has been undertaken in ensuring the completion of the Trans Sahara route

“The fact that out of a total length of 9, 500km of the Trans Saharan Route, more than 8, 000km of it has been surfaced with bituminous material which is a great achievement and more is expected to maintain and ensure the serviceability to the benefit of member countries and its peoples.”
In his remarks, the Secretary General of the Committee, Mohammed Ayadi lauded the progress at which the project has witnessed.

He said despite limited resources, three of the six countries where the road passes had constructed almost all the totality of their respective sections and were involved in dualizing their roads.
Ayadi described the project as a good.....https://etimesafrica./2016/10/13/the-federal-government-of-nigeria-has-expressed-commitment-to-ecowas-trans-saharan-routes/
FamilyHow Doctors and Parents Conspired against Eggs by AmuDimpka(op): 5:37am On Oct 15, 2016
In some parts of Africa, kids were forbidden to eat eggs! It is assumed that kids that starts eating eggs early will have the tendency to pilfer or steal in their future. How our parents came up with this unscientific conclusion is still a mystery. Egg is one of the cheapest protein and it should be given to kids and in many quantities. . It is an egg. Today is world egg day! Have you eaten an egg today? World Egg Day is a unique opportunity to help raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and is celebrated in countries all around the world.World Egg Day was established at the IEC Vienna 1996 conference when it was decided to celebrate World Egg Day on the second Friday in October each year.

Funny enough, a lot has been attributed to the egg, from idioms like “don’t count your chicks before they are hatched “ to economics principles. One of the evidence or attributes of an underdeveloped country or third world country is high consumption of carbohydrates , while developed countries have a high protein diet. Well, some school of thoughts has argued this notion citing cultural and environmental influences.

Egg is a very good and cheap protein, though here in Nigeria people tend to stay away from egg due to some “medical” reasons by their “doctors.” It has been advised that children should consume more of the eggs. The nutritional benefits of eggs are numerous.

Well… eggs are an excellent source of protein, with a single large egg containing 6 grams.Eggs contain all the essential amino acids in the right ratios, so our bodies are well equipped to make full use of the protein in them.Eating adequate protein can help with weight loss, increase muscle mass, lower blood pressure and optimize bone health… to name a few

A single large boiled egg contains :
Vitamin A: 6% of the RDA.
Folate: 5% of the RDA.
Vitamin B5: 7% of the RDA.
Vitamin B12: 9% of the RDA.
Vitamin B2: 15% of the RDA.
Phosphorus: 9% of the RDA.
Selenium: 22% of the RDA.

Eggs also contain decent amounts of Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Calcium and Zinc. This is coming with 77 calories, 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of healthy fats.Eggs also contain various other trace nutrients that are important for health.Really, eggs are pretty much the perfect food, they contain a little bit of almost every nutrient we need.

According to well researched work at authoritynutrition.com, it has been found that egg has been so demonized, if egg is that bad, the global community will not have a day dedicated to this great gift of nature.

CultureAnimals: Is This The Best Way To Kill This Cow? by AmuDimpka(op): 8:43am On Sep 02, 2016
It is unfortunate but one thing is that we have come to terms with reality, we have refused to treat our animal well. I am going to be a bit harsh here but honest. It is pathetic. My anger button has been pushed and I have no choice but to let people know my mind. There is nothing wrong slaughtering and eating animals but we need to do it the proper way. Honestly, I love animals more than humans and I have no regrets saying this. Animals have been here before us, we need to respect them. The Bible and the Quran says “Out of all God’s creations, humans are the most beloved” but this actually doesn’t mean you are better than animals, it’s just God’s love, so stop hyping yourselves!

I have seen animals so faithful to their owners that they even lurk around their graves. Animals are just innocent, if you study animas ,there are a whole lot of life lessons we human can acquire from them. I am also not advocating for vegetarianism , far from it. I eat beef but I am particular how the beef is prepared, where the cow was staying and how the poor animal was treated.
I know that a lot of my readers will be jolted by my stand. There should not be any cause of alarm. Even in religion, animals are being given some level of respect. They have life and we can not give that life. I think respecting the life in animal, is indirectly respecting the Giver of that life. Life is sacrosanct!

Your religious leaders (Muslims and Christians) deceive you with fake miracles everyday but animals perform genuine miracles! Are you aware that an elephant can communicate with other elephants miles away without making a sound? That a single strike from a black mamba is potent enough to kill over twenty people? That a shark can detect a drop of blood in an ocean? These are genuine miracles and the list is endless!

My name is Sewa, I work in an hotel at Iyana Ipaja as a bar supervisor. Am a graduate of Lapostech (HND). I work 24 hours because of the nature of my job and its a day off and on, meanwhile mine has been 3 days on and one day off because I make more money than others. Before I got to this hotel as a staff, they make lesser than I make now. Per day, my target is 100k but I make 130k at worst because we have club in the hotel as well.
It happened on friday when a customer wanted to buy a wine and I was eating before the customer came in, I was still chewing my meat when the customer came in and I tried to attend to the customer with the meet in my mouth because I do not want to delay him. In that process, my Managing Director came in and slapped me 2times in the presence of customers and even guys that were making wooing me, his reason was that I attended to a customer while eating. We not have break time in this my place of work o.
He slapped me and I worked away to continue my work but I want to revenge. I do not want my silence to be in vain.
My manager has been begging me not to resign because I dropped my resignation letter that day. He is begging me to come back.
What would you do if you were in my shoes?
You shouldn't have even been talking while eating. It is the way you carried yourself that will make him slap you. I ama what I know is that we are proud and no apologies.

What I will do ? I will immediately slap him there and like 3 times

You can take away money from a man ..he is still a man
But
When you take away dignity from a man he has lost his manhood .

Take it or leave it ...your dignity has been taken away

Are you tied to that hotel job,is he your destiny maker. People and stupidity seff.

Well you have been slapped now eat the humble pie

Take a firm decision that makes you a man ...

My MD can talk to me anyhow ..even in the talk there is limitations on what he can talk not to even slap me...if he does that ..he has signed his warrant

Certainly, "it is only a tree that hears when people plans to cut it down yet stands", which is why the residents have fled the area due to militants activities in that area long ago before this onslaught by the military.
So you know that resident fled, maybe militants were engraved on the faces of those killed so that you can know militants

Hahaha, first there's no official confirmation that we were killed in that magnitude. We fought a war gallantly against all odds and were able to bring the Nigeria govt into a ceasefire...

Let me tell you mufu, what matters in a war is not how many people killed but that the oppressor does not achieve his aim. We fought a war with all the allied powers against us, yet not one inch of our land was taken away from us. Tell me any African country that has achieved this feat in history.

What about you Afonjas? Ordinary Fulani women came to fight you, your men on sighting them ran back with their heels reaching their heads, well, like sharp women they just took kwara state away from you guys since you were not ready to fight. If Fulani women can do this to you how much more we Igbos will do to you dirty slaves.

Just look at how everybody is using you people for beating practice. First was the Fulanis in Mile 12, Later the Ijaws, very soon the Urghobo's will join. I don't blame you guys, continue to see Igbo GIANTS in your dreams

Afonjaisms is the worst form of sickness.

How do you think that the militants being fully aware that they will be bombarded will remain steadfast in those zones.

Put your self in the shoes of the militants... Moreover what does it take for the militants to diffuse into the society? Well, reasonable people know that the joke called NA has been killing innocent civilians.
spot on

You know when they come out and say they killed 114 people you asked when was there an exchange if fire, where was they exchanging fire.

They just raided an innocent community and tagged them militants

Well, its only a tree that hears when people plans to cut it down yet stands

Militants ain't trees , they are smart
