BOMBSHELL!!! Biafra: We Will not let Igbos go – Northern Elders Council Chair, Yakassai
....
…Warns, ‘don’t get instigated by Yorubas to commit another suicide’

Chairman of the Northern Elders Council, NEC, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai has warned Igbo people against becoming victims of Yoruba instigation again, as ongoing calls for restructuring now is similar to what they instigated that caused the civil war.

Yakassai gave the advice in an interview with Nigerian Pilot, where he alleged that Igbos were instigated to go into secession for Biafra by the Yorubas who later turned around and occupied positions left vacant due to the war.

Yakassai said in case the Igbos were unaware, he had to inform them as a man who was star witness to all that took place at the time of secession declaration.

“Even if they are not in true position of all these things, people like me happened to know a whole lot. When the constitutional crises took place in 1963, I was already a journalist and Hausa editor of Daily Comment, dedicated to NEPU, my party.

I was an assistant publicity secretary of the party, so I know all the happenings – the action of Tony Enahoro, the boycott by northern members of house reps, the riot that followed the plan to turn Nigeria to confederation, and those who protested.”

According to him, “Only two people are everywhere in Nigeria – Igbos and Hausas. This is because Igbos are hardworking, and Hausas are everywhere because they are the only one that can do menial jobs.“Before the civil war started, the Yorubas said if Igbos are allowed to go, they too will go on the secession declaration.

“It was Chief Awolowo who said it openly and publicly; it was published in newspapers. He was the one that was sent by Gowon to talk to Odumegwu Ojukwu in the eve of the secession declaration not to secede.

“They met at the Niger Bridge. When he (Awo) came back, even though we did not know what they discussed personally, he said if the eastern people are allowed to go by any act of omission or commission the west will follow; if they secede the Yorubas will follow.

“That was what he said. By the time he said that, he was already mounting pressure on the northern soldiers stationed in the west to be removed, and Biafrans overran Midwest in Yoruba land. A Yoruba man, name forgotten, captured Ore.

“So if you look at agitation for restructuring that is coming, by and large, it is from the Yoruba. Now the Biafra agitation is in the South-East. My fear now is that I don’t want a situation where the Igbos will be instigated by the Yoruba to commit another suicide. Because by the time the Igbos went on Biafran secession they were the one occupying the position of influence and power, economically and in the civil service. They were made to leave and Yorubas took over, and look at Yoruba; I’m not anti Yoruba.

“The place Igbos left were occupied by Yoruba, particularly the civil service.

“Till today the Yoruba are the dominant elements in the bureaucracy of Nigeria. The Igbos lost that position almost forever. At that time the Igbos were in business; they were the leading elements in business. Now the Igbos are back again. Today they are the leading people in business. They have come back and have taken over trades and manufacturing industry.

“I had impression that most of the industries in Lagos and surrounding areas are owned by Yoruba, until recently when I read the open letter written by Gen. A. Adebayo to Tinubu. In the letter, he sighted that the industries in Ibadan are owned by Indians and Lebanese, and the ones in Lagos are owned by Igbos. I didn’t know until that time when I read it.

“If the Igbos say they are going through rebellion, God forbid, for whatever reasons, certainly, Nigerians will fight them, and if that happened they will lose their advantages in southern Nigeria. Go everywhere, you will see Igbos doing their business without anybody harassing them. So if they go Yoruba will take over. Even if it is Alaba market the Yorubas will gain control, for it’s a plus for them.

“But if this agitation is coming this time when Igbos, including their intellectuals, are all over Nigeria, it shows they were not born. Even if they are not in true position of all this things, people like me happened to know a whole lot. In fact, I was among 18 people arrested and latter, 15 convicted after three of us were set free. So I know the history and feel I should tell the younger generations to know. Igbos are new colonialists; there goods are everywhere in the country; if they go, their place will be down. If they come back to sell with their goods, they will be competing with India and China, as Yoruba will take over them. Simple example is European Union, with all the capital they control, they still talk about living together in unity using motto: ‘Together We Are Strong, Divide We fall,’ Yakassai noted.
CrimeThe Man Hired To Have Sex With Children By Ed Butler! by AmuDimpka(op): 5:16pm On Jul 21, 2016
The man hired to have sex with children
By Ed Butler
BBC News, Malawi
21 July 2016

Eric Aniva
In some remote southern regions of Malawi, it's traditional for girls to be made to have sex with a paid sex worker known as a "hyena" once they reach puberty. The act is not seen by village elders as rape, but as a form of ritual "cleansing". However, as Ed Butler reports, it has the potential to be the opposite of cleansing - a way of spreading disease.

I meet Eric Aniva in the dusty yard of his three-room shack in Nsanje district in southern Malawi. Goats and chickens graze in the dirt outside. Wearing a grimy green shirt, and walking with a pronounced limp (he's been lame in one leg since birth, he says), he greets me enthusiastically. He seems to like the idea of media attention.

Aniva is by all accounts the pre-eminent "hyena" in this village. It's a traditional title given to a man hired by communities in several remote parts of southern Malawi to provide what's called sexual "cleansing". If a man dies, for example, his wife is required by tradition to sleep with Aniva before she can bury him. If a woman has an abortion, again sexual cleansing is required.
And most shockingly, here in Nsanje, teenage girls, after their first menstruation, are made to have sex over a three-day period, to mark their passage from childhood to womanhood. If the girls refuse, it's believed, disease or some fatal misfortune could befall their families or the village as a whole.

"Most of those I have slept with are girls, school-going girls," Aniva tells me.

"Some girls are just 12 or 13 years old, but I prefer them older. All these girls find pleasure in having me as their hyena. They actually are proud and tell other people that this man is a real man, he knows how to please a woman."

Despite his boasts, several girls I meet in a nearby village express aversion to the ordeal they've had to go through.

"There was nothing else I could have done. I had to do it for the sake of my parents," one girl, Maria, tells me. "If I'd refused, my family members could be attacked with diseases - even death - so I was scared."
They tell me that all their female friends were made to have sex with a hyena.

Stealing innocence in Malawi is broadcast on Assignment on BBC World Service on Thursday 21 July. Catch up online or download the podcast.
Aniva appears to be in his 40s (he's vague about his precise age) and currently has two wives who are well aware of his work. He claims to have slept with 104 women and girls - although as he said the same to a local newspaper in 2012, I sense that he long ago lost count. Aniva has five children that he knows about - he's not sure how many of the women and girls he's made pregnant.

He tells me he's one of 10 hyenas in this community, and that every village in Nsanje district has them. They are paid from $4 to $7 (£3 to £5) each time.

When it suits you, you islamists quote the same Judaic Scripture to authenticate Muhammad or islam, wrongly though.

My friend, you keep skipping the area of following the ways of pagans in worshiping allahh, why? You haven't convinced anybody why islam is compatible with idolatry and how idolatry is compatible with islam, when God said He should not be worshiped as idolaters do. You also didn't talk about why islam is only about Ishmael and Hagai, what about other members of Abraham's family? Again, no prophets in the Bible recognized and visited Kaaba, then, how do you prove it was Abraham their father who built it?

Waiting anxiously for you !!!

PoliticsChristians ! This Is A Clarion Call by AmuDimpka(op):
Was reading this on a Facebook and I think it makes sense when they call for defence

As you go to church today or any day know that this is a MAY DAY call, hold your Bible in one hand a pepper spray in the other. There was a reason why Simon Peter went with a sword to Gethsemane. If those were not perilous times, he would not have bothered.

Kid yourselves not, you do not have the anointing and grace the disciples had during the Bible times – you will not even be recognized as martyrs.

You do not even have the grace of the small god of robust responses. You will just die off as chickens… And trust me, nobody is about to repent to justify your death.

Matter of fact, your docility will be interpreted as working against God’s plans because they will kill most of you off and the rest of you will convert to Islam out of fear. This is not the end times… it is Islamic Jihad all over the world.

The difference between the rest of the world and us is that while their governments are taking decisive actions to end terrorism and the spread of the Jihad, we are just willing to be fed a lie that Boko Haram has been ‘technically defeated’, then lie down and die when the Jihadists get to us.

But we love life don’t we? The people of St. Philips Catholic Church, Baki Iku, what did they do when the mad crowd got to them? They turned tail and ran. Like frightened chickens. Nobody wan die but they wan go heaven.

Sooooo, since most of you will chicken out and run (disgraceful martyrs) instead of just lying down quietly and presenting yourselves to be slaughtered, why not just gird your loins and fight back?

Trust me, that will be the only way to get the president to stop and take notice. (Since you all are insisting the extremely useless god of men you all worship and pay tithes to should not even speak up a word in your defense).

I ask you, if your child were being harassed, would you not go out there and beat that bully back? Won’t you break the bully’s neck if you could? Would you advise your child to allow the bully beat him because a certain prophet one year like that foretold that he would get thoroughly beaten up by an idiot? You would rush out and go and defend them? So stop calling these ineffectual cowards “daddy”, they are not. If they were, they would speak up in your defense and force the president to take note.

You know his hearing ear has a boil in it. That is why we need the pastor/politician/veepee to help us loud it into the ear that is still functioning well.

So, you have two options to stop this carnage since the man will pretend not to notice but will react to any one that happens outside Naija; the daddy GOs have refused to protect you all and are condemning you to die like chickens; and you yourselves though afraid to die, have been brainwashed into thinking you are martyrs…

Guard yourselves. Secure your places of worship. When you retaliate once and are not fighting off a dagger with your bare hands but with daggers, guns and knives, you can delay your martyrdom a few decades longer.

Good morning all. Don’t dull now, rise up and defend the church! You have to be on the defensive

The kingdom of God suffers violent and only the violent taketh is by force . Be wise as serpent and be gentle as dove. This isn't a call for arms , far from it, this isn't a call to be on the offensive , far from it but this is a call for protection. People are been killed for flimsy reasons ..just because they practise Christianity and we have to be aware

May God bless and help us and our beautiful country

Now, standard procedure with coup plotting is, it comes like a whirlwind, it doesn't take forever, once word is out -- it's out; you move in or abort. Irony is, once you know about it, or you're told about it, it's either you're in (part of the coup), or out (which means reporting it to the powers that be, or you are part of it). It is a life-threatening position to be in.

Most people indicted in the Vasta coup (1985) and the Diya coup (1997) were listed for execution, just for knowing about it, and not reporting it.

Buhari was selected to lead as one of the most senior . . . he might not have been a major player, but we can say he is glad about it, given his kinda sour relationship with then C-in-C Shagari.

MayorofLagos:
I have held my tongue on the issue of SW voting out Jonathan to favor Buhari. It is time to speak to this.

In the primaries of 2008, Obama against Clinton. Obama beat Clinton in Iowa, a traditionally white stthe and went on to clinch the Democrat Flag. Obama then also beat the Repblican McCain and won the Presidency election. Obama was not elected because Whites wanted anything from him or that they were slaves to Blacks or because they hated Clinton or McCain. These are all sentiments and illogical attributes.

The mainstay of American politics and economy is white race, just as the mainstay of Nigerian politics and economy is Yoruba.

America, due to the irresponsibility of Bush Administration, had become a liability and lost command of global influence. The custodians of the value system rebelled against their own and gave electoral power to a political rookie with an unfamiliar name and presence.

Here in Nigeria, the Yorubas, the mainstay of the economy and politics of this nation, the custodians of our value system, went through the cycle in three phases:

1 - they demanded and got justice on political mandate stolen from Abiola. In the election of 1999 it was either Falae or Obasanjo, both Yoruba.

2 - in aftermath of YarAdua's death, Hausas dominated the throne and frantically rushed to rob Jonathan his statutory right by replacing the elected YarAdua with an un elected replacement from their midst. Ijaws were powerless, Ibos were powerless to oppose North and restore justice for Jonathan. The Yorubas opposed the Hausas and made sure Jonathan succeded and took the oath of office.

3 - Under Jonathan Nigeria became a liability, lost all glory and the Presidency became an embarrassment around the globe. In 2015 Yorubas once more stepped in to restore our national value stock. They opposed the candidacy of Jonathan.

4 - Yorubas voted Buhari in because we needed to restore the political credibility of Nigeria and it was evident Jonathan was "clueless" on what to do to keep the economy and political knots of this country from coming loose. Buhari does ot have a clue either, but they shored him up with a steady hand, a Yorubaman, to keep the stake at equity level so the aspirations of the Northerner can be tempered when a time comes again, as it often does, for Yoruba to jump in and correct errors.

Those who grieve over Yoruba power at monopolizing political direction of the country are haters of our national value system. These people are intent on destroying Nigeria at all cost and anyone advocating a repair and restoration is an enemy of theirs.

Anambra11, you SE/SS had plenty opportunity and options to retain Jonathan in power if the outcome of the election was unsatisfactory to you but you did not use any of your options. Buhari is in power because Yoruba voted him but Jonathan is out because you cowards failed to live to your threats that if Jonathan is not President nobody else will and you will burn Nigeria down.

While Orubebe, a SS man was stopping the count in opposition of Buhari's victory Ibos were behind the scene whispering to Jonathan to pick up phone, congratulate Buhari and concede the election. It was a calculated move meant to buy them out of probe and jailtime.

While results were still coming in we see Madueke and Ogar, hijab on head, next morning at cock crow visiting Abdulsalami to be their tenor in Aso. These were die hard pro Jonathan, already dumped their useless principal and looking for favors with incoming administration. Obiano was visiting and congratulating Buhari before any politician from West had done so.

You Ibos need to cover your face in shame. Yorubas survive with or without Nigeria.

In fact, in closing we ought to ask, can Nigeria survive without Yorubaland?
After all these essays ..you still isn't make any sense

Credibility....that word isn't what Yoruba are known for. Maybe you have to ask how credible awolowo was or maybe how credible ekiti and osun with oyo economy are

Not that alone, Tinubu was able to nurture and finance AD (which later turned AC and then ACN) for a one state party in 2003 to a party that controls 6 states and then forming a formidable opposition against the then ruling party in 2011.

While spreading his political tentacles, I think a major factor that has been helping him is the fact that he will never support mediocrity at the expense of merit. He has the best brains as far as politics of naija is concerned. Fashola, Fayemi, Amobode, Muiz Banire, Abiola Ajimobi, Fowler, Abike Dabiri, Femi Gbajabiamila, Aregbesola, Jide Omoworare, Ibikunle Amosun etc. The list is just endless. I think Asiwaju is not just developing himself, he is grooming other young boys. This will make him so relevant for long.
Pls define mediocrity

Is it the oyo economy in tatters
Or is it the osun economy that has met the Waterloo
Or is it the building of website with more than 700,000,000 naira
Or is it the aregberascal that is there

Pls can somebody define mediocrity forme here
PoliticsRe: Why Is Tinubu So Powerful? by AmuDimpka: 12:54pm On Jul 16, 2016
Due to the herd mentality and inability to think out of box....and coupled with stomach infrastructure in the south west .they made a single man a some determinant of their destiny

Tinubu isn't powerful in Nigeria but only in south west

That's my take

Even in south west ekiti is an exception

Hope the question has been answered
