ajog1: I have got that particular model and she's simply phenomenal. There has been no change of any major parts since it was bought 14 years ago and despite her huge in-line six cylinder engine, it's still got a decent fuel economy. But the Mass air flow sensor got faulty of late and it has been a nightmare. Have you ever had any of such issues and has anyone ever attempted cleaning theirs with a Mass air flow sensor cleaner. Please I would appreciate your response and that of the house in general! Air mass is the simplest issue...just buy new one ...they are available here in lagos |

By TonyeBarcanista
When Imo state Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, was inaugurated in May 29 this year he told the people of the state that the damage done by his immediate predecessor and now senator Rochas Okorocha, was more than pathetic. I assumed that he was exaggerating the situation on ground considering that he was of different political platform with Okorocha and it is the norm of people of opposing political parties.
On Friday, October 18, I, along with delegation from PDP New Media Team, set out on a journey from Abuja to Owerri to honor the funeral of late Social Media personality, Stanley Nwabia in his hometown in Mbaitoli, Imo state.
In the course of the journey, I was welcomed to Kogi state by some terrible roads but I wasn't surprised, because I never expected to see something better than what I always see when plying that route. To me, Kogi has the worst road in Nigeria but... I was wrong!
Entering Imo state was pathetic. Every road and feeder roads in Imo state are eyesore and in complete ruin. Even the tunnel that I had blindly praised Rochas for after seeing it on TV and social media, was highly dilapidated and a death trap that every vehicle avoided except ours. The most shameful sight is World Bank Road- that road is complete ruins and not motorable. Meanwhile, the most disgraceful is the road leading to "Peoples House", this is because one ordinarily expect that such a road should be of world class but it wasn't. All the so-called road projects that Okorocha's propagandists parade on social media and newspapers are complete fraud. There is no single road in Imo state with good drainage system and no single road that is without potholes dragging space with vehicles.
Indeed, Imo state has the worst drainage system in Nigeria and no provision for waste disposal - No wonder Governor Ihedioha vowed to rid the state off dirt and waste that littered everywhere.
I have always held the opinion that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has no business in government house but now I'll say that he is miles better than Rochas' eight years as Governor of Imo state. I am not a fan of President Muhammadu Buhari style of administration but it is better for one to entrust his business to Buhari than to Rochas Okorocha - He is that bad!
Some readers may think I'm sounding this way because I am a PDP member, but that narrative isn't correct. I have never ceased from singing the praises of Rotimi Amaechi for some of the works he did as Governor of Rivers state, my home state despite him being of APC.
Honestly, I pity Governor Emeka Ihedioha, he is a governor that inherited all-round problem from his predecessor, he has so much work to do. He's so unlucky to be elected Governor of Imo state at this time, he is in for real work, I honestly don't envy him! But that is what service is all about, he has no other business to do than to work and deliver- that is the reason he's a leader!
Most importantly, I pity Imo people for being subjected to eight years of Okorocha, I can't help but wonder how they were able to survive under his administration. I really sympathise with Ndi'Imo!
Fortunately, Governor Ihedioha has always maintained and shown by his actions that he is ready for the challenge. Indeed, he has started well and I pray God grants him the wisdom and strength to turn Imo state around for the good, the better and the best. Amen!
I appreciate, Hon Izuchukwu Akwarandu, SA New Media to Imo state Governor, and members of his team for their hospitality; Mr Kingsley Ohen, President of United Patriots of Nigeria and entire members of UPN for always checking on me; Barr Tony Ehilebo, Coordinator of PDP New Media Team and entire members of PDP New Media Team for brotherly cohesion, and entire members of Nairaland family.

Politics › Nigeria: Igbo Presidency In 2023 – Mordi Okafor by AmuDimpka(op): 2:01pm On Oct 14, 2019 |
Immediately after the 2019 presidential election in February, a lot of clamouring and scheming have been going on with regards to who becomes the next president and the region the person will emanate from. Igbos and some patriotic and benevolent Nigerians believe it’s time for an Igbo son to occupy the Apex office in Nigeria. After all, in this democratic dispensation, Yoruba and Hausa have occupied the office, including one from a minority tribe, so why can’t a Nigerian of Igbo descent occupy the office, especially in a country where the Igbo tribe is part of the tripod on which the country was built, and still stands on? An Igbo word is part of the stanza that emphasises the unity of the country; wa-zo-bia – meaning “one Nigeria.” Interestingly, when we take a panoptic view of the political incidents in the country from 1999 till date we will realise that majority of Igbos tilted their political leaning towards the PDP, at a point they even claimed and told the world that a Niger Delta, PDP President and candidate from Bayelsa state, Goodluck “Ebele Azikiwe” Jonathan, is their kinsman. Which we all know is the biggest political goof, naivety, ignorance and desperation of all time in a country where quota system is the order of the day. Unfortunately for them their candidate lost, meaning they also lost. An adage which was their mantra “Onye ji ji na mma ka yin ge so” – “It’s the person who is holding the yam and knife we will follow,” did not help them in that situation! Paradoxically, if we follow their claim that Jonathan is Igbo, then it means Igbos have already occupied the office of the president of Nigeria. However, we should forgive Igbos because like Jesus said: “Father forgive them for they know not what they were doing.” In my opinion the following are some cogent points to be considered for the actualisation of the Igbo presidency. For the Igbo tribe to get it right in the 2023 presidential election, it would be expedient for them to rather look towards the direction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to give their son the presidential ticket. After all, it is the political party they have sacrificed their blood for by toiling day and night, putting in mind they had NEVER leaned towards the All Progressive Congress party (APC). If any party owes the lgbos, for their massive support and dedication over the years, it must be the PDP! Therefore the need to lobby them for the next presidential candidate. This trump card of loyalty over the years does not need begging, pleading or timidity when demanding this from PDP. It should be their bonafide right in the party, especially with respect to the quota system. After all, it is universally acknowledged that Igboland is where they vote en bloc for PDP in all elections since 1999. Igbos must be aware that unity and one voice should be their lobbying tool, they ought to be resolute, intrepid, and determined, then they can withstand any intimidation from any quarters of PDP. They need to be resilient and focused as they are known to be in their personal businesses! They must see it as a complete political business, to be tackled with all seriousness, boldness and sagaciousness for the survival of Igbo in the Nigerian project. They need to come to a consensus to produce a quality candidate amongst their sons who can stand out in no mean terms, come February 2023. It’s evidence that APC will not produce another Northerner after Buhari neither will it be an Igbo person. During the last presidential campaigns, while the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, was in Igboland campaigning, the highest Igbo sociocultural body, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, endorsed the PDP flagbearer as their choice candidate. All this obviously militates against the Igbo in APC. It makes the APC not to owe Igbo the presidential candidate slot for any cogent reason.Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, crowd Again, with the exception of a few most of the Igbo tribe have conspicuously seen APC as an enemy and rival party and worked against it at all times and levels. Inter alia, the soap opera some Igbos are trying to act portays an unnecessary emotional and cheap blackmail to get APC make an Igbo person her next presidential candidate, it can not be justified in any way. It won’t fly. I must say it’s not expedient. It’s like working with MTN but want Glo to pay you. With the political forecast available, and what is on the grounds now, I doubt if I’ll be wrong to assume the next APC presidential candidate will come from the Yorubaland. I must say, there’s a dire need for Igbos to go back to “their drawing board” to do a very strategic, meticulous, and calculated work which could pave way for them in May 2023 for an Igbo man to be sworn in as the President Federal Republic of Nigeria. To conclude, an Igbo president will help curb the current secession agitation and every other ill-feelings the Igbos have against the Nigerian state. All these dissections will be a thing of the past. Going forward, we could have a more peaceful and indivisible Nigeria, for in and only in Unity we stand! LegendHer0: Please what is the agreement Ojukwu had with Awolowo? You have to speak with fact coz I have all the archives with me from verifiable sources.
If you can’t mention what agreement an Awolowo who just left prison some couple of month back before the war had with Ojukwu, then keep shut bro and stop regurgitating the fairy tales you heard from your elders.
I watched the video where Ojukwu lied to his people that he released Awolowo and I was ashamed for the whole Igbo race. How would an elder stateman like Ojukwu lie on national TV when in actual fact documentable evidence showed Gowon released Awo.
Ojukwu was a master propagandist, he had a meeting with Awolowo where Awo told him about the need to restrain himself for a while so that the western region can be prepared or so that the issue can be sorted out in an amicable way that wouldn’t need war.
Awo later made the famous statement telling the North that if they made the Igbo secede by threatening them then the Yoruba will follow suit. Ojukwu banked on that statement and had to declare secession straight away by not heeding to Awo’s advice so that he can blackmail Awo into the war.
How do you expect a civilian like Awo to start a war at such a short lead time ? Ojukwu and Gowon are generals then who had in their hand lot of ammunitions and experience as soldiers. Even if Awo will mobilize the Yoruba military, shouldn’t Ojukwu have given them time to prepare also?
Ojukwu is a deranged proud man, he thought he could fight on his own without alliance and he attacked Ore in act of provocation, and drafted the Yorubas into the insane war of ego. Blablabla That one na such a long letter and I no even read am ...who cares The greatest mistake was trusting Awolowo. Till date majority of the Yoruba have trust issues.... Ask any Nigerian period |

Zik and Balewa government put Awo in prison on trump up charges of treason.
The barrack boys (Majorly Igbos) killed our premier Akintola and some Yoruba leaders.
Gowon released Awolowo from prison.
