The Egyptians, and everyone else created their gods and the smarter copied, plagiarized and fabricated from the different concepts and philosophies around the world and sought to build up concepts of their own from them. And the consequence is initially always the destruction of the less well armed (with books and knowledge in this case), until the conquered learn to think and reason, instead of just 'believing'.

Firstly the term Pagan is derogatory and is a Roman terminology.

Christianity use these type of terms to demonise and cause confusion.
