lofty900: sorry about ur friend who died but we're both saying the same thing. This jihadists are only a small minority of the northern population. You need to see how igbos are happy in the north. I visited a friend of mine in sokoto and guess what I saw, the whole street was filled with igbos and 95% of the houses are owned by igbos with exotic cars, churches, schools etc. It'll be affect them if they abandon all that and come back I understand your point but it's still better to have them alive than dying in the hands of the northerners |

mostsimpliest: am 23 yrs old in my final year civil engineering you are still young to start contemplating suicide, it's obvious the girl is very much in love with her ex hence the attitudes you get from her. It's not going to be easy but you just have to move on bro, you have your future ahead of you. I totally understand how you feel right now and I will also advice you to try to mingle with your friends this period, don't stay alone to avoid thinking about her, try to distract yourself . Right now, you may feel you can't stay or live without her but believe me, many people have been and they still survived it, you too can, all the best |

Idango: I don't know why those of us in the south keep saying the north have nothing , the north contribute nothing . That is a falsehood. We all know that more than 70% of the food consumed in this country apart from what is imported is produced in the north. The SE produce northing, the SW little. If the north stop supplying food to the south hunger will finish us. Look at what happened during the civil war, you expected your enemy whom you are fighting with to be the one supplying you food because the biafra don't have food. You don't realise you gain anything from the north now until you have your own country and realise you can't eat and drink oil. You mean food that we pay for, do you pay for oil? Stop talking as if the food that comes from the North is for free, if we produce and contribute nothing, why are you guys against our secession |

chiraqDemon: I dont think that will hold in the co7rt Its just the handbooks were handed out and the students must have been advised to go thru the handbook with their parents before signing the terms and conditions.
These students know the rules and the consequences and any disagreements should have been sorted out before they put down their signature. If u wait till a couple of years before suing or bringing up any disagreements then i think its too late.
Just what i think im no legal practitioner This is what I know as a legal practioner |

prettyboi1989: the way the lawyers go loss the case like wrapper ehn. seriously the school has its rules and regulations, failure to abide by the rules comes with consequences. most people dont take time to go through the school's handbook, the rules there are evn more stringent that then ones they enforce. Now any aggrieved party seeking redress must first go through the school's handbook before deciding whether the case can be won in court or not pretty boy, the Nigerian constitution is supreme and any other law that is inconsistent with the constitution is void. The constitution overrides any other rules or regulations |

Ijobaorun: Does the school force any parent to bring his or her child there? If the answer is no, then they should be ready to obey their rules and regulations at all cost as long as you are still under them. It's not by force to go to private own schools. If you want freedom, go to government schools. so you are saying cos they weren't forced to attend the school, they should obey rules and regulations that infringes their fundamental human rights? That's bad |

Futureberry: you are stupid,do I have to bring different reports of women drugging men to rape them,or been over power by more than two women and then force to have sex, from female teachers to employee to boss to maid etc...you my friend need to apologies to your family for ever believing in you...you are a waste of space and air...you need to first apologies to millions of sperm that gave their life for your sake, also to your parents for wasting resources on you, then to the nearest tree around for giving you oxygen...then leave the internet before you contaminate it further than you already doing... you don't have to insult me to prove your point, so many frustrated pple on nairaland. In our Nigerian legal system, a woman can never rape a man as simple as that. However, a woman can sexually assault a man but you can never call it rape, it is only a man that can rape a man in Nigeria. If I were you, I will go n do some research or better still consult a lawyer before displaying your ignorance. However it's only a legal mind that can understand me, from what you typed above, it's obvious you are a lay man who's not willing to learn. Just gave you the view from legal aspect okk, bdw my parents are very proud of me. one more thing, the scenario you painted above is referred to as "indecent assault" not rape, you can also go through your criminal code to understand better |
