I have this neighbour who sells foodstuffs. She travelled for new year so she instructed her relation who sells for her to pay in the money(about 130k) she made since monday into her Diamond bank account... I was in the banking hall- Diamond Bank warehouse branch, Apapa- when she walked in with the money in her bag. When filling her teller, someone asked her if she was paying in and she said yes. She later joined the long queue. After thirty seconds, a young man dressed in corporate suit (pretending to be a cashier) came close to her and asked for people who are paying above 100k. About five people stepped out and followed him a few meters away. He collected their money and teller and asked them to wait on the line so he can go in and stamp their teller..... Like play like play, the man left. They were waiting not knowing that he had left the banking hall with their over 650,000 naira. It was later that they reported, the bank manager even came down.......he checked the cctv footage and behold, the gentle man in suit was neither a cashier nor a worker in the bank. Just like that, he stole over 650k. The security guard said it was the third time it was happening in that branch...my fellow nairalanders, BEWARE!!! Need ya'll contribution and thoughts on this. Pls our Mods should share this story so as to avoid others falling victims. Thanks.

IN his characteristic bluntness, Niger State Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu, has declared that there is no morality in politics. He stressed that politics is all about lying and if one cannot lie, then he or she has no place in the game. The governor went on:”If you cannot lie, get out of politics. Anything you are involved in has its own rule. You are in politics to win, win first and let other things follow. Don’t be the one crying louder; lest you will be the one they will take to court. “If you are talking of honesty or morals, go and become an Imam or pastor. Politics cannot be the way it used to be. The challenges are more now, the variables have changed, the issues that we are going to face in 2015 are different from the ones we faced in 1999 and we must bear this in mind. “Our society is not as grateful as it used to be, the values and morals have gone down. If you want to win, use the modern morality. “We have worked for the people. Politics is not about sadaka (giving alms), politics reminds people of what you have done. Go out and remind the people of what we have done.” Aliyu, who stated this while inaugurating Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial campaign committee, affirmed that it would win the 2015 polls at all levels because it had a sellable candidate. He, therefore, directed that no stone should be left unturned to ensure that all the PDP’s candidates from the House of Assembly to the Presidency become victorious in the elections. According to him, “we should go from house to house, neighbour to neighbour, room to room to ensure we win the election. We have to do it that way for us to get somewhere.” Aliyu told PDP supporters not to allow themselves to be intimidated by anybody especially the opposition party, insisting that “once you enter a project with fear you are bound to fail. “All members of the gubernatorial campaign committee, those of the House of Assembly, and the senatorial campaign organisations and those of the House of Assembly must therefore come together to ensure that the PDP and its flag bearers win all the elections slated for next month without competing with each other,” he further stressed. The governor also directed all political appointees who could not make the membership of the campaign committees to consider themselves as mobilisers for the PDP candidates. He warned that they would be held accountable in the event of failure in any polling unit and that any of the appointees who did not want to work for the party should resign his or her position. He challenged all members of the campaign committees as well as the political appointees to ensure the party supporters at the grassroots were carried along in their activities. He added: “Our party must reinvigorate, we must consult officers of the PDP at all levels, we should work assiduously to ensure total victory.” On the governorship candidate of the party, Umar Mohammed Nasko, Aliyu described him as the best to happen to the state especially because he was a youth, asking the electorate to queue behind him. Speaking on behalf of the committee, its Director General, Alhaji Aminu Yussuf who is also the state’s secretary of the party, assured the PDP of total victory in the February election. Yussuf said the party would change its tactics and strategy in areas where traditionally it had had problems in previous elections.

There are about 1200 million (1.2 x 106) smokers worldwide and 15 billion cigarettes are bought every day! Each cigarette contains tobacco leaves which are burned, and the smoker draws the smoke from the burning leaves down through their breathing system into their lungs. Tobacco smoke contains a cocktail of more than 7000 chemicals. This cocktail contains the addictive drug nicotine, which makes people feel relaxed and calm. It is this drug which can make it very hard for people to give up smoking, even when they know the damage it can cause. The health warnings on UK cigarette packets are very clear but there are still around 100,000 deaths from smoking-related diseases every year. Smoking is bad for the health from the very first cigarette, because some of the chemicals in the smoke have an immediate effect on your body. Carbon monoxide from the smoke is taken into the blood instead of oxygen. The cells get less oxygen for respiration as a result, then one is more likely to get breathless when exercising. Tobacco also leads to Lung cancer. Lung cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell growth in tissues of the lung. If left untreated, this growth can spread beyond the lung in a process called metastasis into nearby tissue and, eventually, into other parts of the body. With these observations, some Nigerian celebrities are still ignoring the health implications of this killer substance. Majority of these artistes, when they are about going on stage, they take as much quantity as they can just to keep them fit for a long time while performing on stage. Some go as far as sweating unnecessarily. Here are few list; Majek Fashek, Kcee, Davido, Dammy Krane, Wizkid, Samklef, Terry G, Phyno, Olamide, Reminice, Wande Coal, General pipe, Mallam Spicy, W4, Oritse Femi, Mode 9, M.i, Jesse Jagz, Solid Star, Maheeda, Patoranking, Tonto Dikeh, Timaya, Eedris Abdulkareem Any name missing on the list? As a student you probably would not believe us if we tell you that are absolutely naive and no, you are not on top of the world. You will soon graduate from the university, service year is going to be awesome (at least according to the stories you’ve heard). After service, you are going to get a job, have a family, build a home, become a millionaire and live happily ever after. There is just one problem with your plan. The only problem with your plan is the real world. This article is to let students know things to look out for before they graduate so they don’t get railroaded. 1. A Degree Does Not Entitle You To A Job We all know getting a degree means a lot of hard work and commitment but because you have a degree does not mean somebody is going to grant you an automatic job offer. Gone are the days when all you needed to get a good job was a university degree. We were all told the same lies in secondary school, get a university degree and a mouth watering job would fall on your lap. The smart people are the ones who figured out this lie early in school and made sure the time they spent in school would separate from other students who were busy enjoying school life to the fullest. It’s time to get your head out of the sand. 2. Start The Job Search Before You Graduate Job hunting is a complicated thing and there is no almighty formula for you to acquire a job. Job seeking is not something you can “cram” for and pour out everything during an exam. There are no cheat notes for post- graduation experience. The job hunting business is an on-the-training experience and the best way to get ahead of your colleagues is to start your career exploration during your service year or better yet during your university days. You can research branches of your field, do internships (industrial trainings), find out what size of company is for you, and practice job searching techniques. Put these tips in play and by the time you’re done with service, you’ll be prepared for the next phase of your life and it will be quite tricky for reality to hit you with tons of bricks. 3. Facebook Is Forever Not just facebook, but twitter, instagram, and every other social network that you decide to be a part of. What does this mean to an average student? Well it means that every obscure joke you post on Facebook, every explicit picture you share, every inappropriate comment will be visible to the world when you become famous or when you go job hunting. At the very least, know how to manipulate your social media privacy settings and restrain yourself from littering your social media accounts with unfitting content. Being appropriate on the web is just as important for a political career as it is for finding employment. Your binge drinking photos might be funny now but they won’t be so hilarious in five years time. 4. Life Is Expensive You are probably surviving on the allowance you receive from your parents right now and you’ve not realized that life can be expensive, EXPENSIVE. Just wait until you have to live on your own, probably during service year or when you get your first job. By the time you pay for house rents, transportation fare, recharge cards, light bills, water bills, food, utilities, and every miscellaneous expense. It won’t take long before you realize that life is expensive. Everything would suddenly become so expensive that you would sometimes feel like crying. This is one of the most painful things to learn. EVERYTHING costs money. Anytime from now, you should learn how to create a budget for yourself. Otherwise your rent will be due, your kitchen will be empty and you will be busy dodging from the people you owe money. 5. Never Be Scared To Take Chances This is probably the most important lesson you have to learn before you graduate, never be scared to take chances. You’ll never get anywhere you want if you don’t take calculated risks every now and then. No one is telling you to jump out of a plane or go swimming with crocodiles (which would be awesome if you survive), but nothing in life comes easy. Yes, it is cliché, but it the hard truth. After all, nothing can deputise experience. When you become a graduate, the best option is not becoming a boring office robot whose life revolves around work. Your twenties and thirties are the some of the best years of your life, we kid you not. Do not be afraid to face the real world with open arms, explore opportunities, and take chances. You’ll be surprised at what fate has in stock for you. 6. Learn How To Interact With People Learning how to interact is a very valuable skill you need to have in your belt. It is a “street smart” skill. You could read a million books on how to interact with people but the only way to develop your interaction skill is to put it into practice constantly until it becomes a part of you. This skill will surely be tested each time you go for a job interview. Heck! You even need this job more if you are an entrepreneur. Learn to greet people with a smile. Say “thank you, please and I appreciate” whenever the situation deems necessary. These small gestures go a long way to make a huge difference. Don’t be so quick to dismiss the power of appreciation and courtesy. Make small talk, get to know anyone you have to spend more than thirty minutes with, help them if you can. Who knows? You might meet your own saviour. Don’t know what to talk about? You could talk about the TV shows you watch, the cool blogs you visit on the net (don’t forget to mention www.facebook.com/ campuswak), the weather – hint hint : ). Learn to be always positive, make sure people smile after talking to you. 7. A Skill Will Get You Farther Than A Certificate What we recommend is that you pick up as many skills as possible, as long as you have a passion for it. Do not say “I am studying English Language, why do I need to learn HTML?” If you are computer major, take a couple of management trainings. It will help you in the long run. The skills you acquire do not necessarily have to be educational; you could learn tailoring, baking, programming, carpentry . . . anything. You never know when your minor skill will become your added advantage, or your primary source of income. Not only that, you will be able to converse with a larger variety of different people, plus it shows your employer that you are a fast and versatile learner. 8. Save Something – Anything Start saving now and you’ll be setting the foundation of your financial future. There is always a need to save, even if it is the tiniest bit each month. Like we said earlier, life is expensive and the best way to be prepared is for you start saving right now. Whether it’s for a big purchase, an emergency or for your future it’s important to have a little money for fall back to during rainy days. Trust us, those days will come. 9. You Are Going To Need Lots Of Hardwork You are now a graduate, you no longer need to read through the night, attend boring lectures and write difficult examinations. Your life should be an easy pie from here. Right? Wrong. In fact, this is the time that you need to work harder than you imagined, if you want to be successful. Although you could relax; get a federal government appointment, and retire on your pension. This is perfect, if you want to be mediocre. We are you are among those that want to be successful. In order to do that, you are going to need a lot of brain work, stay up late at nights and lots of reading if you are going to be among the 1%. Even if your father is a billionaire, it’s a lot of hard work maintaining all that money. 10.Success Takes Time After applying all these, do not expect to become a millionaire overnight, or in a week or in a month. Success takes time. No matter the amount of hard work, Success takes time. If you are in a hurry to be successful, you will either fall prey to money swindlers or get yourself entangled in something highly illegal. Neither of them sounds good. That’s all for now! You don’t have to wait until you graduate to gain these little nuggets of wisdom. Put them to use! Then start collecting some of your own

According to Okotie, President Jonathan's Presidential declation on November 11 2014 at the Eagle squares has occultic significance. He says the number, 11, is a sacred number in the occultic world and that it demonstrates an appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant. He said this and many more in a piece titled "2015 and our crony democracy" posted on his facebook wall. Find the piece below... Season’s greetings to my teeming readers. Let me still serve you a morsel of politics even as we celebrate the joyous Yuletide season. The mood isn’t cheery because of the horror of senseless bloodletting by the Boko Haram insurgents, but life must go on, in the hope that things will get better in the New Year; even if they seem otherwise at the moment. Our politicians are self-serving and uncaring, but we are a resilient people who always ride out of every storm. The noisy campaigns of the Presidential nominations of the two major parties- the ruling PDP and the APC, appear to have eclipsed the nation’s top headliners of 2014, such as the Chibok girls abduction, and the random seizure of territories by the rampaging Boko Haram terrorists. Also submerged in the nomination hoopla are the impeachment of Governor Murtala Nyako and the defection of the five PDP governors that triggered it; Ayo Fayose’s upstaging of APC’s Kayode Fayemi in the Ekiti Governorship elections, the dramatic fall of crude oil price and its implications for our oil- dependent economy, and the recruitment exercise that left scores of young graduate job- seekers dead from stampedes. All of these and other major headline news of 2014 may soon be a distant memory, but we can’t easily forget the failure of the national soccer team and defending champions, the Super Eagles, to qualify for the African Cup of Nations, the Air Force plane that was shot down by the Boko Haram insurgents and one of the pilots reportedly beheaded. Indeed, with its gruesome operations getting to new levels of cruelty, Boko Haram stretched our military to the limit, and exposed the decay and dismal state of our armed services. That was what came to light in 2014, but must never be allowed to continue in 2015. The Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, came and was defeated, but not until after claiming the lives of some victims including Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh and other patriots; rather than plan how to prevent future resurgence, the APC and the ruling PDP were bickering over whom to credit with the arrest of the disease. Of course, 2014 produced its fair share of scandals and corruption in high places too numerous to mention. Sad to recall, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s private jet which was involved in the cash for arms scandal, was a major headline news about which I wrote a commentary, which provoked CAN’s response in pedestrian vulgarity, which I declined to nobilitate with a retort. The pain for Nigerians is the impunity with which perpetrators loot the treasury under the watch of President Goodluck Jonathan. President Jonathan and his strategists should be having a big laugh after a ‘hard-won’ battle that finally handed His Excellency an unprecedented sole candidacy of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 presidential elections, with a loud declaration at a rally on November 11, 2014. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari (Rtd) is flying the flag of the APC, having clinched the party’s ticket in closely fought primaries. The implication of Dr. Jonathan’s declaration on that day (11-11-2014)has occultic significance. When the number is repeated, it takes a greater ritualistic intensity. In this case, we have 11-11-11, because when you add the date 11-11-2014 as a year together, you arrive at 11 also. This is in consonance with occultic numerology. In the pre-natural world, the number 11 is a powerful occultic number: it represents judgment, destruction and death of man. Each digit in the 11-11-2014 date, when added together, viz: 1+1+1+1+2+0+1+4, you get 11. That’s why the declaration was done on 11/11/2014, which is the highest level of occultic numerology. This sacred number in the occultic world demonstrates an appeasement of the powers of darkness to favour the supplicant. The name of satan in Latin is LVX. L is 50, V is 5 and X is 10. When you add that together, you get 65. When you add 6 + 5, you get 11. Satan’s number is 11. The question is; was this declaration orchestrated by occultic considerations, or is it a mere coincidence? Since 11 represents; judgment, destruction and death of man, can we extrapolate from the experiences of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration so far that number 11 has been prevalent in our nation? Has there been spiritual judgment, has there been destruction and death on a large scale? You, be the judge. If the Church of Jesus Christ appreciates this understanding, they’ll be more reluctant to gravitate in the direction of President Jonathan, even though the leaderships of CAN and PFN have made a subtle endorsement of his candidacy. President Jonathan does not belong to the Davidic genealogy; he belongs to the house of Saul and invokes the spirit of Jeroboam. He swears by the Lord and Malcham. He that hath an ear let him hear. Fixing all the fault lines of 2014 must begin with the management of the usual post- election crisis which is the hallmark of every transition in Nigeria. Whatever the outcome of the Presidential elections, the polity would likely quake as the vanquished beat the drums of war against the backdrop of grandstanding by the victors. If we have embraced a paradigm shift as I have suggested, Nigeria would have gone a different way. Despite all of that, and the likely unpleasant fall-out of the forthcoming general elections, Nigeria will survive as usual. Expect threats of war, but surely, the Nigerian political class is too timid to roll out the tanks for battle, because, nobody would like to put his life on the line over a lost election. Unfortunately, our gullible youths do not know this. They are usually the canon fodders who bear the brunt of the violence. The political elites use them to unleash on any post- election conflict, while the politicians and their cronies escape to safe havens where they enjoy their loot. Be that as it may, the voters have the final choice to make in these crucial elections. Rev. Chris Okotie, a Pastor- politician wrote from Lagos
