By the way i've noticed some bunch of dimwits using the word "afonja" on this forum. I wonder what they mean because i know it to be a tittle in yorubaland rather than a family name.

Obosi - 7 , Alaba market - 0.

But its not strange from ibo's perspective. Thats how they do their things - i before others.
Recollect that during APC's primaries in 2014, Rochas handed Imo state governorship ticket to his in-law for safe-keeping in case he lost his gamble for VP slot.
When he lost at the national level, he confidently went back home to retrieve his family's ticket.
Nobody in the entire state sneezed not to talk of denouncung him.

First of all I am a guy.

Now that was a very wrong move. What happened to evangelism if God was not just the jews instincts telling them to kill? Why would a mighty perfect God be insecure about people worshipping idols as much as trying to kill them? would killing have solved the problem, has it ever? modern men knew the best way to come to an agreement is by dialogue. In ancient times the method of dialogue is hardly patronized until secular men started using it that God knew it was the best.

No amount of rationality can justify genocide.

Its not for me to defend God or His actions but we must not forget the fact that God encouraged the Israelites to seek permission of nations across their path during the journey to pass through the periphery of their lands, only He knew why the method must change in the case of Cannan except perhaps because it was the promised land.

Then why do you want this useless one Nigeria to continue?

The honest truth is that the Yorubas can not govern themselves without Abuja.

You fought a long drawn civil war (kiriji war) for over 23 yrs and also betrayals in Ilorin who sold out to the Sokoto Caliphate.

You only knew peace from both the kiriji civil war and Islamic jihad breathing down your necks after you invited the British to take over.

If the better south (Niger Delta and Biafra)
seccedes , you will not waste one minute fighting yourselves over who will serve as proxy head of the Yoruba people under northern rule.

This is the beautiful truth.

You would have decided to look into forming a common southern alliance with your southern neighbours but the igbos will have nothing to do with you given your history of treachery and
betrayal stemming from the role you played in the brutal civil war 50yrs ago. The Niger Delta on the other hand have a more recent history of your betrayal in the role you played in derailing, insulting and eventually removing their son from office.

As things stand now, you guys are doomed for Hausa/Fulani occupation.

Why are you foaming in the mouth like someone suffering from a strange spasm ?
Before January 1966, inspite of the conspiracy of your grandfather Azikiwe plus the north against the SW, which region performed best ? The SW while SE was the most backward. The only thing of pride they had was UNN which was a federal entity.

Am trying to understand ur argument. Are u saying the jews should not be blamed because being babaric was the norm then.

Okay ma. While am not the Op my understanding of the article is that he is trying to convince atheists against their arguement that God was evil to have ordered the Jews to destroy the seven Cannanitish nations.
His arguement, which i consider plausible, is that the people of those nations were living a brutish and cruel idolatery life by sacrificing their children for their idols.
In addition, fathers made their children go through the fire for Molech, their idol and vice versa.
Therefore, God said that the people would be a bad influence on the Jews if assimilation is allowed amongst them hence His commandment to them to destroy the nations.

Something is wrong with this report, a yoruba person can never call himself an Oba outside of yoruba land.
This is a huge propaganda against the yoruba people. Vangard goofed on this report, Oba is a traditional and spiritual head of his ancestral land. Any normal Yoruba person will never call himself Oba in a foreign land.

An Oba is expected to do some Oro traditional rites and that is not possible in a foreign land where you restrict people from coming out at Night.

Is eithet this report is a lie or those Yorubas are simply mad.

Don't mind the propagandist children of Achebe and Chukwulerijes who thrive on lies and crime.
You should know your people. No Yoruba person
will ever call himself an oba where he is not indigenous. It is never their nature. All Yoruba groupings throughout Nigeria have only elected presidents, secretarirs, etc and nothing more.
In any case, the pronouncement has been made - no more of the criminal title of eze ndigbo by arrogant crooks on Yoruba soil again and whoever does not like it may go hug a transformer and whoever makes such claim again will face the music, period.

Igbo's will never learn. Yoruba's have shown that they don't want you in Lagos and all you can do is call it bluff or insult them without taking heed. Igbos need to make the East economically viable. We all know that Igbo's are the largest importers in Nigeria. If you igbos can come together and think of the way forward in other to boycott Lagos seaports it would be a nice idea.

Also, Yoruba's are in no place to tell the Igbo's to go home. whatever context they use that is irrelevant. It is wrong. Igbo's are part and parcel of Nigeria. I'm sick and tired of hearing Yorubas asking Igbo's to go home. Nigeria belongs to everyone, so if you're asking Igbo's to go home then be ready to boycott SS oil too.

But can the northers tell you to go home ?
Answer me because when some youths in the north told non-indigenes in their domain to go home in 2014, igbo leaders went to emir Sanusi to please appeal to the youths to sheath their swords. No other ethnic group did that. I didn't recollect anyone saying they belonged to the parcel of land called Nigeria. If you think there is something the north has that you dread i assure you that every ethnic group has an element of it.
The resolve of Yorubas since after the last election was to no longer get embroiled in any shouting match with anybody on the social media.
Analysis has been done,:evaluations made and decisions taken.
Noise-makers are free to rant and wail. We do not grudge them because it is their inalienable right.

@op, with all due respect, there will NEVER be a right time your voters card will work for you on our soil. Your silly and gullible effontery in the last elections had put paid to that. You stupidly showed your card too early and we've learned our lessons. We will NEVER allow our hospitality to be abused by any errant and ingratuitous vermins again. If you like, import millions for voter registeration, we are ready but will no longer engage anybody in a public shouting match. Neither shall we be moved by noise-making and empty chest-beating.
Any fool that is yet to appreciate the fact that one nigeria is only on paper is living in a fool's paradise.
By Gods' plans, everybody has his roots and heritage and should be proud to savour and to defend it. Wait for oil to be discovered in the north, then you will realise that the one nigeria slogan has underlying meanings.

Too sweet a story to be true. But even from what he volunteered, he roped himself.
He claimed seeking social benefits in a country other than your country of residence as a non-citizen of a european country is not a crime. Thats a big lie.
At his first attempt he was made to wait for five months. In the interim, what did/or was he doing brcause according to him, a visit of more than three months is not allowed by law.
It occurs to me that for him to say he neither abuse, fight nor argue with anything when he was denied after five months' wait seems to point to a heated altercation between him and the officials. They may even have warned him never to come back to their country again.
He didn't say whether he informed his friend he was coming to visit. If he did, one expects him to have informed the friend of his expected time of arrival. In other words, the friend would've gotten curious and made attempt to reach him when he failed to show up. According to his story, his friend was oblivious of his predicament. Doesn't sound tidy enough.
On the other hand, if he didn't inform his friend, then he was unto something shady.
