If you truly have the Holy Spirit...and you really study the word, the Holy Spirit would tell you which comes before which.
It's not my choice...but by the leading of the Holy Spirit in conjunction with the scriptures.

Do you understand?

I also hope you are satisfied with the bible verse I gave you...
Where is the Bible verse?

The last time i checked, Jesus the master said, You do all, not doing some and leaving some undone.

My comment was also rather vague. I never said he was kidnapped by people of any religion. I only supported freedom of choice of religion.

Lolzzzzzzz.

Supporting freedom of religion here puts you up in the position of saying, he was kidnapped because of his religion. If you knew better you shd have left religion out of it since the reason for his abduction is not clear. But how will you know?

This is where you are getting it wrong. Your master gives you a list of things to do in order of importance. Everything is important, but definitely certain things are more important than others.

Won't common sense tell you to deal with the most important issues first? and attend to less important issues later?
So, now as a Christian, Christ gave you a list of what to do, you by yourself determine the more important and less important items in the list and choose what to do and what to leave undone abi? Good and faithful servant you are.

You are using common sense to follow YHWH. Very correct.

I guess Freeze should start criticizing Muslims, Bhuddists and every other religion under heaven...before we know there's God in the details right?

See ehn...I advice you to calm down and let the TRUTH prevail over this matter. The TRUTH does not need anyone to fight for it...unless you have selfish motives on ground. Time would always vindicate the TRUTH!
Who needs to calm down, you or I? lolzzzz.

Satan has been fighting the truth from Eden.

So, the Muslims using Zakat to sponsor terrorism to you is a noble act which Freeze doesn't need to talk about? But Christians shd stop paying Tithe which is used to run the Church?

Exactly. After now, someone else will get up and begin shouting against offering, then later Church attendance. I feel for lazy Christians.

The Muslims are paying their own version of Tithe (Zakat), which they use in sponsoring jihad all over the world, Daddy Freeze does not see that to call Islamic Clerics out.

And you that has the Spirit of Obedience working in you. I guess tithing has more importance than giving to the needy as explained by Jesus right?
I'm very sure now that you have a problem with how you read the Bible.

Giving to the Needy is giving. Tithe you Pay it. it's a debt you owe God. Just like you owe him Thanksgiving if he heals you from Cancer.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Matthew:23:23

Pls explain to me the bolded.

OkaiCorne post=62898316
In your mind, you'd rather ignore a starving orphan and pay "tithes" to the church...then you really think you have Loved God with all your hear, and you have loved your neighbor as yourself?[/quote:

Emotional talk. God is not a God of emotions. Jesus said, These [Tithing] you ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. What does that tell you?

How do you read your Bible pls? Pay your Tithe, give to the orphans. Give to other brethren too. Anyone who pays Tithe and leaves the others undone, Christ is referring to them, and those who give to orphans and don't pay Tithe, Christ is also referring to them. You do not do one and neglect others.
[quote author=OkaiCorne post=62898316
Do you recall when Jesus said that many will come claiming they have done things in His name, but because they never fed the hungry, gave water to the thirsty or catered for the needs of the sick...that Jesus said He knows them not?Do you really recall when Jesus says to you 'Occupy till i come?'. What did He mean by that?
Pls stop taking that scripture out of context.

[quote author=OkaiCorne post=62898316
Will you claim to love God and leave your neighbor dying while you pay "tithes" instead? Tithes that is paid in a manner that has no scriptural backing? (i.e. monetary tithes)
Pls stop being Canal. This is appealing to emotions, it doesn't work with God. His word is Yes and Amen.

Who says because you Pay tithe you should not help others? What kind of reasoning is this? How much is your tithe sef that you are making this kind of fuss?

If you earn 1thousand naira, remove 100naira for God. Is that too much of a big deal?

See oo.

How many times have asked you this but you jumped? Is your problem with Paying Tithe or the manner of payment? pls answer me this time.

I think you may find them if you do a thorough web search.
on apocalptic fiction, i think that's the only well regarded alternative to the left behind series. The left behind series
got mired in commercialism and most readers noted this. The entire 16 series (3 prequels) could have been
made shorter. They just wanted to milk the cashcow some more though.

Tithing did not start with the law, and tithing is not going to end after the Law but;

1) Is tithing 10% of your income, or there are more laid out requirements on what it is, and how it should be paid? If yes, why are we disobeying God by paying it in monetary format?

2) Do you know that something better in the new covenant has replaced tithing, just as animal sacrifices have been replaced?

In addition to these questions, kindly answer the ones I've asked before. THANK YOU

I can refresh your memory in case you have forgotten.

The first thing I need you to understand is that God is not limited to money.

God given talents when utilized, attracts money. Now are you telling me the people called to serve at the altar are barren trees that can bear no fruits?
I think you have a problem with HOW you read the Bible.

What that says is that, WHERE MAN DEY WORK, NA THERE HIM GO CHOP.

No one is talking about God being about money here, the bone of contention here is doing what God demands, OBEDIENCE.

Birth of an Age (Christ Clone) Trilogy's Review.

In this second book of the Christ Clone Trilogy, author BeauSeigneur chillingly fleshes out the cataclysmic events foretold in Revelations in an easy to read novel format. From the first installement, the reader followed the early life of Christopher Goodman, a genetically engineered human being whose DNA was removed from the Shroud of Turin. Now Christopher has achieved a certain amount of power and respect as a powerful delegate of a newer and stronger United Nations and with the help of powerful New Age allies has positioned himself to become the ultimate world leader. Birth of an Age depicts Christopher's ascent to sovereignty as the rest of the world sits back horrified as the predictions of the apostle John and Saul Cohen in Israel come to pass with blood curdling accuracy. BeauSeigneur scientifically and realistically portrays the discovery of three asteroids due to collide with the earth, the plague of locusts and the horror of a sickness that pits man against his loved ones. The cataclysmic events move the novel along at such a pace that I was shocked and dismayed to discover that I was turning the last page---and did not have the final novel of the trilogy on hand! All the fast moving brutality takes you at break neck speed to a climatic event that allows Christopher to reveal who he actually is within the scheme of the three books; I look forward to reading the concluding work; I am interested in discovering how BeauSeigneur will dispute Christopher's theory of God and depict the Second Coming. The author's style of writing, as other reviewers have commented, is not exactly literary, rather it is designed to move the plot along in an easy to read almost television-magazine format that works. Beauseigneur is not preachy, he tells his tale in a compelling fashion with appropriate citations from the Bible. An all and all great follow-up to the first novel.

The only root that connects me to old testament is that, it was through old testament that new testament or new covenant came from .

I'm not interested in all what happened in the old testament, how God purnished people who criticized his prophets and so on.

I'm interested in Christ

In Christ there is no distinction among adherents we are all one. If you like call yourself man or God or daddy whatever if you practice evil you go for it.

Tithe is one evil that has been cheating the church for years, gradually it will soon come to an end.
People are gradually knowing the truth

The root cause of this tithe debate is money. If everyone is truly focused on Jesus, we won't be having this "tithe" controversy.

By the way, help me answer these questions;

1) If everyone stopped giving tithes and offering would the church shut down?

2) Did God use money (especially tithes) to create the Heavens and the Earth?

3) Is God limited to money?
Its about disobedience not money. Satan wants to keep the Church where he wants it, hence, the attack through his servants.

How will the church run without money?

Did Jesus have a purse for money? Did they need money for administration?

Nice dodging there...so I guess tithing is of a weightier matter than where I'll put my head to sleep abi?

Can you please answer the question I asked you on tithing? Abi wisdom is no longer profitable to direct?

Is tithing your number 1 priority in life?
Your question sounds like 'Is obedience to God, your number one priority in life? Obedience to God's instruction in all it's facets should be every Christian's no 1 priority in Life, except you are not his servant.

Every of his ways, you don't some and leave some.

You are now by yourself placing priority on what you deem necessary. Stewards don't act as you do.

It's just like God healing you of an ailment, He expects that you return with thanksgiving to him, failure to do so, it's taken for pride.

God gave you power to make wealth, you have 100naira as profit, and he says return back 10 naira to him, see all the grammar and logic you are employing just to keep 10naira. But you expects for him to keep giving you o.

Na wa for man o. We dey here dey blame Adam. non of us better pass Adam. We are worst.

This brings me back to our talk on priorities....

Should tithes be the number 1 priority in our life? At the expense of food, clothing and shelter?

Did widows and orphans pay tithes back in those days?
Hmmmm. Na waoo. When God Chose Levi to continue the ordinance of Tithe taking, did he specify who should pay and who shd not?

Are they half children and full Children of God?

Obedience hard oooo.

Tithe paying is just a mark of obedience o. just obedience.

Do you recall a certain portion in the book of James that says breaking one of these Laws means you're automatically breaking all?

Does Tithing begin with the law? If your answer is No, shd it end with the law?

1. You say i ignored your OP to discuss pastors.
Is this not one of your comment in your OP?

You : It is very important to note that we are not Tithing to pastors but to Christ our High Priest.

You mentioned pastors in your post, when i mention pastors too in response you start attacking me
And how does that interprets to discussing Pastors. The reason why i said that is because, those who don't Pay Tithe, have the believe that Tithe is Paid to Pastors which is not true.

The sacrifices you take to the shrines, who are you sacrificing to? Isn't it to the gods you go to consult? but who eats the substance? Isn't it the Medium through which the god relates to you? Does the Native Doctors throw the goats and chickens you take to them for sacrifices?

Good News Translation 1 Corinthians 9:13-14
Surely you know that the men who work in the Temple get their food from the Temple and that those who offer the sacrifices on the altar get a share of the sacrifices.

[b] In the same way, the Lord has ordered that those who preach the gospel should get their living from it.
.

If you have a problem with Pastors eating from Tithes and offerings, pls take it up with Jesus.

This was your first response

You: Lolzzz. This thread is not for Children pls...

Even if my comment was childish the least you should have done was to correct me first before saying so.
It was after you called me children that you then quoted Malachi to say that it was God that threatened me not pastors.
Next time endeavor to correct people's childish comments before saying they are children or it amount to attack, because at the end your Malachi you quoted did not prove my response was childish, I gave my reason quoting Hebrews 11,that I'm a christian so malachi's threats will not possibly be God threatening today christians. And pastors should not use Malachi to be God.
When i sensed that you got offended by that, i apologized, didn't i?

Are you a partaker of the Abrahamic Promise or not?
Is Abraham a New Covenant Patriarch?

If you claim you are a Christin so the Old Testament shd be trashed, how did you get connected to the Promise God made to Abraham to Bless the nations
him?

Having this discussions with you guys, i'm beginning to sense lies and dishonesty.

If you are a Christian without roots in the old Testament, then you are lying to yourself. No one can be a Christian without having roots in the OT.

paxonel:
So beware of these men of God.
As much as i don't support any man of God who misappropriates God's money, but at the same time, i can't get involve in what they do. Their misconducts will not lead me to sin by what i say. God will not hold you guiltless if you sin because they sinned.

Listen. You see what is going on right now and you guys think you are doing God a service? You had better not sin in the process, because, it will be held against you.

The Sons of Eli, Hophni and Phenehas, were every where misappropriating God's ordinances. Right in the Temple, they were having sex with women who went to offer sacrifices. They made light of Gods sacrifices and treated the Israelites badly.

The people complained, God did nothing about it, Eli did nothing about. But, the people of God didn't stop doing to Shiloh to offer their sacrifices because the Sons of Eli where the ones in charge of the offerings and were using them as they liked. They still went and did their part by giving what was required of them.

When the iniquities of Eli's sons was complete, God wiped them off completely.

Don't think you know how better to fight God's Battle.

If the pastors are using Gods money to buy Jets, do you think, God doesn't know or see?
